How to Use OpenAI to Generate Endless Facebook Ads for Your Business

Stefan Georgi walks through using OpenAI's Playground to spin one Facebook ad into dozens of variants. Copy an existing ad, then prompt for multiple versions, punchier openings, shorter lines, emojis, and more. He uses a flea-protection ad as an example and notes the model sometimes repeats words, but the same technique works for headlines or emails.

Hey, what's up, everybody? Stefan, Georgia, here, let me quickly show you how to use OpenAI to write a bunch of Facebook ads. So the easiest thing you can do, go into the ads library in Facebook, which is right here. Find a competitor or someone who is in a similar niche as you, or use your own ads. Find their ad that you like. Copy and paste it. Take it over to Playground. Copy and paste it into Playground. Right. Okay, here's their ad. Now what can we do with this? The first magic prompt we can do is we can say, give me three variants for the above ad. Ready? Boom. Let's see what we get. I'm going to pause, look at the output. All right, so the original ad. Show your cats the best kind of love by ensuring their good health against a possible flea infestation. Don't consider toxic chemical based products some features and benefits. Right? So here's the three variants. Your cat deserves the best kind of love and care. Keep your beloved pet healthy and free from fleas. This one opens to show your cat the best kind of love and keep them healthy and protected from fleas. So it says, keep your cat healthy and safe from fleas with this stuff here. Right. Well, say I want to get some more different opening lines. One second. Here we go. Give me 20 short, punchy, curiosity heavy opening lines for the above ad. Pause. Now, I've got 20 plus really good opening lines here. However, every single one of them mentions GCP natural chews, which I don't like. Right. But the first line is good. Got fleas a free. A flea free life for your cat capable of the cat safe from fleas. Does your cat have fleas? Get the best protection for your cat against fleas. Protect your cat. Keep your cat happy and healthy. So a bunch of good opening lines you could add to the ad here. Add to the ad. Right. So now if I don't want to do the, you know, GCP thing, it's like I can say, okay, rewrite those 20 opening lines, but without mentioning GCP. All natural flea deterrent shoes. Right? So pretty good again. Now it's a natural every time. So that's a little bit irksome. It's funny, it doesn't always do this, but in this case it's really getting stuck on stuff, which is funny. Another thing you could do, perhaps, let's see, is rewrite those 20 opening lines, but make them 30% shorter and have more variety. Don't say natural, everyone. There you go. Now these are pretty good, so sometimes you got to work at it. A little bit here, but definitely a bunch of good opening lines for these ads we had above. Right Now I'm going to show you another thing you can do here and delete all of this. You've got these three variants, right? Be like rewrite each of the three ads and have them include cute emojis in them. A pause while it's writing them. Cool. So I've got emojis. Now another thing you do is say give me two variants of number one above but use different emojis this time. So you know, get some different emojis at least it's some of the similar ones. But yeah. So anyway, all of this is coming though from a single ad and there's a million things you can do from here, right? You can do the same thing for headlines. You could turn this into an email, right? Like tell it to write you marketing email, all kinds of things but really simple way that you can just get a shit ton of variants for your ads. So wanted to share that with you all.
