I'm going to go over seven specific things that I think is going to help you become highly productive and help you elevate your day. I actually like to call them the seven Daily Intentions.

Alright, so daily life intention number one is going to be join the 5am club.
Now when I say the 5am club, it specifically means getting up at roughly 5am the reason is because I want you to bucket your time to do specific things in that amount of time. So when you first get up at 5am, I want you to immediately go into a prayer and or meditation state for approximately 20 minutes. And the reason I want you to do that is because your brain is actually coming out of that waking state and it's easier for you to communicate that type of thing directly to your subconscious mind right after you wake up. Now the second benefit of actually joining the 5am club is actually what I refer to as the power commute. That's you actually getting in your vehicle, heading off to work, or heading off to school, or heading off to the gym. In my case, no matter where you're going, use that time wisely by actually spending that time absorbing personal development content on whatever area of life maybe you're keenly focused on right now. So for example, when I leave my house and I hop in my truck on the way to the gym, I'm actually listening to some form of audiobook, YouTube, clip or podcast on a specific area of life in which I'm trying to elevate of my own. Now I also find that doing this first thing in the morning, my brain tends to comprehend more of that. Again because I think it's tied to the waking state that we just left out of. So not only are we getting prayer and gratitude and thankfulness and meditation, but now we're also getting learning and education and strategies and knowledge. Now the third part of that is actually doing some form of exercise first thing in the morning. Now I typically hit the gym probably around 5:30, 5, 40. I'm in the gym for about an hour. And while I'm in the gym, I'll spend another 20 minutes or so doing a cardiovascular exercise, an elliptical, a treadmill or some kind of stair stepper or something in order to get my heart rate up, get my mind pumping. And while I'm doing that, I'm Typically jotting down notes about things and ideas and concepts that come into my head as a way to have an innovation or an idea folder of sorts. In other words, I constantly want to be in a creativity mode and or innovation mode. And when I do that, I'm able to scale myself quicker by actually laying out frameworks that I'm going to need for future days ahead daily. Intention number two, Elevate your appearance.
Now. Don't get mad at me now. What I mean by elevate your appearance is probably not what you're thinking. I'm not talking about necessarily judging yourself for how tall or how fat or how short or how skinny or whatever. I'm not talking about that at all. What I'm talking about is going the extra mile to do something extra nice for yourself so your physical self actually feels the love from your emotional self. Yes, that's a mouthful. But ultimately what I'm trying to teach you to do is I'm trying to teach you to hold yourself to a higher set of values to to yourself and actually teach you the attributes or the attributes of loving yourself, taking care of yourself. You see, when we go long enough without taking really good care of ourselves, when we're constantly wearing the sweatpants and the sweatshirts and stuff like that, we actually begin to see a devalued version of ourselves. Now I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with like sweatpants on a really comfortable day. What I'm saying is it shouldn't be every day. You should be dressing to the standard in which you want to become consistently. You should be brushing your teeth and doing your hair and like taking just the extra steps. I know it sounds crazy, but when you treat yourself better, other people will also begin to treat you better because you're beginning to create the standards in which you want to follow for your own Life. Intention number three is use the 3030 rule.
The 3030 rule is nothing more than bucketing your day in 30 minute buckets based on the key priorities that that's going to create the most lift. Unfortunately, what most of us do with productivity is we try to do the easy things first that actually don't actually give us a lot of momentum or a lot of added value. When reality. Spend the first 30 minutes on the most important thing that's going to get you the greatest lift and then spend the next 30 minutes on the next important thing that's going to get you the greatest lift and the next 30 minutes. You see what I'm saying? You're spending 30 minutes on a 30 minute objective to essentially elevate yourself and actually create prioritization. The more prioritization you have, the more power you have. The less you prioritize, the less you're going to have power in and about your day. And you'll find that your day is running you rather than you running your day. Now daily intention number four is a pretty important one because it's going to help you raise your actual clarity and focus and cognitive ability. And believe it or not, I promise you, it works. And that is actually fasting until 2 o'. Clock. Now one of the reasons that fasting works is because of what it's done in my life. Now one of the things that it's done in my life is it's raised my cognitive ability. It's also reset several key factors in my body such as insulin levels. The more I fast, the more I realize that my body will actually outperform myself if I was eating several meals a day. Now what I've chosen to do is I've chosen to actually have a fasting window from 2 to 7pm and inside that fasting window I'm eating decent food. I'm not actually going to go out and just eat garbage. That fasting window allows me to reset my own body, reset my own cognitive ability and it will do the same thing for you. Now you may not be able to start out right out of the gate, only eating once a day, but what you can do is you can start where you're at today, reducing your caloric intake, only drinking water, and then taking yourself a little further down the hole each time until you've consistently done a fasting routine. And, and again, even some of the benefits of fasting even actually show anti aging. So there's a lot of benefits to fasting that you can actually learn more about. Alright, daily intention number five. We're actually going to reapply the 3030 rule. The only difference is we're going to spend 30 minutes in different ways. The first 30 minutes you're going to do with this new 3030 rule is actually focus on the brain dump. Brain dump is nothing more than getting all the hoopla all the day stress, all the anxiety and stuff out of your head on paper where then you can prioritize it so then you can attack it the next day. The other benefit of doing that is it also allows you not to carry that stress inside the home to those that you love. Now the second 30 minutes you're going to use before you go home after you've done. Your brain dump is going to be focused on reflection. Put on some soft music, grab your computer or your iPhone or note taking device of some kind and just reflect on today's events. What are innovations that you saw? What are types of things that you could create? What are types of things that you can be thankful for? What are types of challenges that maybe you felt that day or faced that day that have now taught you a greater lesson about yourself, maybe about the leader you're becoming, about the person you're becoming. There's no greater time to reflect than in a state of reflection. So why not intentionally put on your calendar a 30 minute window to just reflect? Reflecting will actually give you more nourishment to your mind. It will give you more peace in your home and it will give you a lot more focus in your day. Daily intention number six is actually to end your day with a little bit of learning while on your commute, going home. Now, unlike the beginning of the day where you're spending far more time on personal development content, this is typically a lot more subdued, a lot more reflection, a lot more peacefulness, if you will. I might focus specifically on a key area of my life which might be my spiritual zone. It might be another element of learning how to pray and meditate and be in that zone a lot quicker sometimes. Matter of fact, I may not be learning anything other than about my experience throughout the course of the day after my reflection because I'll put some soft music on and I'm just going to reflect. Whatever thoughts come to your head, just accept them without actually fighting, necessarily fighting them back. Because you've already been through a very productive day. You're starting to wind your brain and your body down. So once you actually get to your family, you are ready to engage with them fully and completely. So before we move on to number seven, let's go ahead and make sure we got this one on the board.
Learn. But we're going to be learning a little bit differently than we did the first time. Make sure you're learning something that's actually winding you down, taking you down like from an elevation, emotional state down to more of a.
Learn to breathe. That power of breathing in that moment is going to help you a tremendous amount because that's going to set you up for the next daily intention, which is to actually put the technology away. Why do I want to put the technology away? One of the reasons I want to put the technology away is because it's time to be present. Now this is something I've struggled with for years. I have conditioned myself to be a bit of a workaholic and I'm having to recondition myself to put everything away, stop the motion and engage fully present with my family, with my beautiful wife Karen, with my growing kids, heck, even my grandkids that I've got coming down the pipeline. All of them want and need the real Steven, not the work Steven. I learned a long time ago that they honestly don't care what pursuit you have as long as they know that they're important to you. And as a result, you are important to them. As a result, you're going to feel the love, they're going to feel the love, and you are going to become a more well rounded whole person which allows you to go into your next day fully clear, fully competent and ready to do the work. You know, the reality is, once I was broke, broken and trapped inside of a mental prison and ultimately keeping me chained in my own limitations. The reality is, none of us have to live that way, including yourself.
