A Spiritual Path Towards SUCCESS & MANIFESTING ABUNDANCE | Inez Marrinan

This is a recorded YouTube interview (host Stephen Scoggins with guest Inez Marrinan) in which Inez recounts her difficult upbringing, severe depression, alcoholism and suicide attempts, and a turning point when she experienced a spiritual encounter and was filled with the Holy Spirit. The conversation covers her subsequent prophetic calling, mentoring and practices (monthly prophetic words, visions, one-on-one encouragement), the process of surrender and character change, and practical outreach (helping homeless people, online ministry). The piece functions as personal testimony, encouragement for seekers, and an introduction to Inez’s ministry and social channels.

So my whole mindset had to change. So I was talking about, I was fearful, I was drunk, I was nasty, I was doing all this. But you see, God had to train me.
You know, one of the things that I think the audience is going to pick up is this glow about you and how much there seems to be a presence.
Yeah.
That everybody fully understands how those. How that presence or how that glow falls on just really a handful of people, largely because of themselves. But talk a little bit about your backstory and kind of like where you've been before before we jump into all the amazing things you're doing now.
Ah, thanks very much, Stephen. That, that's amazing. And I can only give God all the glory. And that's not by accident. Nothing's by coincidence by accident, you know, and we're even here together two years later, my buddy, you know, and you inspire me, you know, we need each other, you know, and what you're doing is absolutely amazing. Well, the only reason why I'm on YouTube is because I have a calling from God. Everybody has a calling from God. It can be anything. It's not just like with the Bible. It can be what you're doing. It can be a hairdresser, it can be a construction, whatever it is. But I remember even when I started that, you know, I was starting my ministry and God was trying to tell me to get out there. Now I know your background as well. You have a traumatic background. Yeah, same with me. So I grew up in just Catholic family, just there's six of us. My mom, my dad. At the time, I just grew up thinking, you know, this is it. You just live your life and that's it. You know, God is there. We were thrown out to church on Sundays. But I was a very fearful young girl right from the get go. I mean, terrified. I couldn't talk. It was just. I thought I was born like that. And it got worse and worse as I got older. But just a long story short, it's coming into my teens, I just got really dark, really depressed. I was really bullied at school. I had no confidence whatsoever. I became down. My mom and dad divorced. I got promiscuous. I was just doing all bad stuff really, really early on, you know, very angry, them. And I started to lash out. But I got very into myself coming like my late teens, you know, So I started to drink and you're trying to fit in. This is what you're talking about. So that's what everyone does. You don't know who you are. So you Try to fit in. So I was getting in with all the wrong people. Well, I was dead on the inside. There was a void. There was something I was looking for. So, like, everybody basically isn't it you look for is a fame, is it a man? Is it this way? I had no clue. So I got darker and darker in my head. So depressed to the point it was suicidal. It was like just a spirit of debt I couldn't see. I wasn't good at anything. I thought I was bad. I was listening to all the negativity. I had no idea, you know? And then I was sent to counselors. I tried to take my own life many times. I'm thinking, what's the point being here? I was looking at everyone else.
Yeah.
Comparing myself to everybody else. I want to be like this. Why can't I do this? But I was dead. I mean, it's even. I had no feeling, you know? And then it got to a point where somebody would cry and had no emotion. And I started to get scared. Oh, it got so bad. But.
Then just bad stuff happened then, like, my dad left. You know, the. I had two children. The dad left, and I got angry, and I got angry and more fearful, and I began to drink more, and then I began to take more pills. I was going bad. I was going downhill. So I know what depression is. I know what all that is like, you know, the thoughts in your head. And I actually thought I was going crazy at one point, but I was all over the place, and I was just thinking, there's no purpose. There's no point. And just a long story short, I just got mad one day and just my. I got so drunk. So drunk, and everything around, like, boom, boom, boom. Everything collapsed. It's a long story to that now. Yeah. But I'm just. One night I lifted up my fist, even years ago, and I just said, see you. It's all your fault. God, why did you. Why do you do that, though?
I did the same thing.
I wasn't like a Christian or anything, you know, I just looked at God and I'm just like, it's all your fault.
Yeah.
Why this and why that screaming? Had no idea why I was doing that, actually. But there's a cry in everybody, you know, because you're. You're looking for that something. Everybody's looking for something, and they look for it in all the wrong places. Everybody. I don't care who they are. So I fell on my knees and I just wept. But I felt this presence. And I'm thinking, okay, there's something. It was a presence. I can't even explain that. If you've had your own experience, you'll understand. But I let it all out, and I just. I'm sorry. God, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I did this, and I'm sorry. And I was just talking. I felt this love, this present, Stephen. I can't explain it. And it just went from there. And things started to change. Then I couldn't get drunk after thinking, what's going on here? Then it just kind of. Long story short and everything that I went on the TV one night and there was Joel Olsteen, you know, the. The preacher. And I'm thinking all the things started to take place then. Not knowing what was happening. And then people started to leave me all around. And then I started to call out to God more, Not knowing why again.
Yeah.
Well, anyway, my Testimony is on YouTube there. But anyway, on Facebook. Then I got in touch with this girl who was a born again Christian. I knew her years ago. See, nothing's by coincidence. Yeah, I had known her a long time ago. She got back into my life. I'm this angry person. Ah. I wanted to hurt everyone else who hurt me. And she came to see me, and she's like, whoa, is you okay? Like, you know, you're really angry. And what I was hiding, the whole alcoholic thing. See, when I was by myself, it was different. When everyone's by theirself playing Closed doors, it's different, Stephen. So I was drinking. I was trying to just block it all out. The pain, the hurt, the rejection, all of it. The deadness, you know? But there was still something was pulling me down since I cried out to God that night. And it was some talk, and I didn't know what it was. So just in a conversation one day in my kitchen, and she just turned to me and she was looking at the wall, and I had all these pictures of saints and stuff, you know, and she just looked and said, inez, why don't you just pray to Jesus?
Now, we hear this, okay? You hear, you know, preachers, Jesus, church, whatever. But this day, you see, this is why words can change. You can. You can say something that can change my life. I can say. So it can just be a sentence or a word. Well, she just said, why don't you just pray to Jesus? And it was like an echo. Something went in me. And I can't explain that either, because it was spiritual. And she's still talking. I'm trying to be all cool, you know? And anyway, let's go drinking and clubbing. And I need to find out about this Jesus. And I was talking at me. So anyway, we went off, got drunk, and I was a bad influence on her at the start. And then this pull was pulling me somewhere. So then I got onto her one day and I said, you know about this Jesus. Trying to be all cool, you know, so how do you find out about Jesus? And she's like, get a Bible. You see, you need to understand my background. It's just like. It was just a family. It's just life. You just grew up and you just did your thing. You went to school. Nobody accomplished anything in my family. No one went as far as college or business or anything like that was stagnant. I can't explain that either. It's a long story. But, yeah, just went from there. And then I just started to seek him. And it was a hunger. There was a tourist. And then I began to watch things, you know, and I begin to learn things, and I begin to question my family. Then what about this? And what an ocean. And they even sat me down one day and thought I was going crazy. So I had stopped drinking. Smoke. I was smoking nearly 80 smokes a day, Steven. I was drinking, like, two bottles of vodka and 24 cans of Budweiser beer. Wow. It was cr. I mean, I don't know. I'm alive for a reason. Hey. Yeah, I. I was dying. Like, I was literally, like, size six, size eight. I was skinny. My eyes were black. I was dead. Yeah. So any again, I'll just move a bit. And this girl told me to go to a church somewhere in town. And I'm, like, terrified, you know? And I went in and I was like, everyone's praising the Lord. And I'm like, no, it's not for me. It's not.
No.
No.
Nope.
I'll go home. I was still kind of parked in here and there, but I was still. There's something missing, Stephen. There's still something. So I'm reading the Bible. I couldn't figure it out. And crazy stuff was happening in my home. Spiritual stuff, which I couldn't understand. So then one day I went to this church again, and it was like a pole again. And something pulled me up to the front to the pastor. And I'm like.
Yeah, she was so. She knew exactly what to do, this lady, beautiful lady, Stephen. And she called me inside and she prayed for me. And she prayed, like, as if all the presence. Beautiful. Just this love. And I still kind of didn't get what was going on. Well, she did a deliverance on me and prophesied over me and then said in a be filled with the Holy Spirit of God. And I felt some liquid warm, something going down into.
I had the same. I had the almost the exact same experience. Mine felt like burning hot oil on top of my head.
It. And Stephen, it's like I took a breath.
And then she looked at me and said, nowadays, who are you? And I looked out the window. It was like something out of a movie, but it was God. Yeah. And I looked down, I said, I am a child of the most high God. Where would I get that from?
Yeah.
But I felt, oh, my gosh, I'm alive. Something happened. She was trying to talk to me. She began to prophesy over me, which I didn't even know what that was. And I'm like, I just need to get out of here. I don't know why I need to get out of here. And she's like, an A's, nays, you need to come back every week, read the Bible, okay? And I'm like, I need to leave.
So I left and I felt alive. And that was the beginning of my journey. And it's. It's longer than that, but I understand what people are going through, and I understand a lot of people even, you know, message me, email me. They leave comments like, hell, I'm going through this and I'm going through that, and I don't know what to do. And it's amazing because I know exactly what they're going through and the word that they need right then, you know, we all need to be corrected at times. Sometimes you need that little push as well.
I've gotten one of those emails from.
You before.
But even I need it, you know? But that's life, and it's a journey, you know? But the whole point is people are looking for their purpose.
Yeah.
They're looking for something. And it's actually God that you need. And then he starts to bring you on this journey. Because if you like what I said when I grew up, I grew up in a Catholic family, so you know about God. It's just. You go to church and God's there, and everyone goes to heaven. That's what I taught and that's it. But it's different. It's more than that, you know, it's. It's Jesus Christ. It's the spirit of God that makes you alive. He breathes into you. Like when I was filled with Holy Spirit. And from that moment on, I was never the same. It's not like everything gets perfect, Steve, and you know that yourself. Yeah, but you go on this journey, but God is with you, and then you begin to talk to him. It's a relationship. It's not like, oh, you're made to go to church on Sunday. That's it.
Yeah.
No, it's a journey. And then he has a plan, he has a purpose. For my life, for your life, your listeners lives. And they're not alone, you know, because God is with you. And if you think about it, the whole time that I was telling you the story, God was pursuing me, he was calling me. And then, you know, he brings people into your life and he's directing things and all of that wasn't a coincidence. So now we're here, you know, it's been a long journey, but still, it's only the beginning.
Yeah.
And that's it. It's going to get better.
Well, let me ask you this. You know, there's a lot of people that are, you know, searching. I call them soul journeyers, call them whatever you want, but they're searching, you know, searching for the next step and searching for purpose, searching for identity, searching for just a sense of compassion. Right.
Given that we both come from traumatic backgrounds and kind of been through some pretty difficult things that have led us to this point in our life, which is beautiful in of itself.
Did you try any other different takes on faith or religion with Buddhism or anything? Did you try other things before you found yourself surrendering? Or were you just. Were you naturally drawn towards Jesus?
You see, the thing was, when we grew up in my family, so I was the only girl and I have three brothers. And then there was my mom and dad. My mom and dad are divorced now. So always remember when I was growing up, even though we were made to go to church on a Sunday, it's kind of like, I love Catholics. Jesus loves people. You know what I mean? My nanny was a devout Catholic, you know, and it was like she'd always talk about God. I'd never really heard the word God, the name Jesus, you know, it was there. But there was something when I was growing up that I always loved the Jesus films. Okay, so Christmas, mom, turn on the Jesus. There was just something in me, right? And I used to always have dreams. My mother would have dreams.
You know, and things would come true, things would happen. So I was born with something in me, but I didn't know what it was. Okay, So I loved all that. I never was drawn to anything like you were saying anything Else, there was something in me that God is God. But I didn't know Jesus. I didn't know Holy Spirit. I didn't know the Bible, but we had a Bible at home. And I remember once I opened it and I was like, there's all the pictures, you know, the kids Bible.
Yeah.
You know, and I'd ask questions and it was like, oh, you know, just a man read that, you know.
But I was always interested. So then when I began to read the Bible, it was like, oh, wow, this is amazing. Oh, I didn't even know that. Oh, wow. But then I realized, you see, like we were talking about people's identity. There's a plan and purpose for your life. You have your calling. You're amazing at what you do. Okay. And then myself, there's a calling on my life. So it's like, I've tried to do different jobs, I've tried to do different things. Growing up, I had no clue what I wanted to do. Like, people wanted to nurse, they wanted to do this. I was doing jobs here and there, but nothing was satisfying me. But as soon as I started to read the Bible, this is it. I want to help people. I need to do something. But then there was this pull. You see, you can't come away from a column. So, Stephen, if I was to put you in a mechanics, right, you're going to do this now. You're like, I don't want to do this. I want to do this. There's a calling on your. Your pulls to it. Okay. People can give up in their life as well, you know, with things that you have a choice to keep going. But when there's a call and when there's a pull on your life, you follow it and God draws you to it and he brings it out in you. So that's why he brings people to you. But other than that experience in anything else, I couldn't. Yeah, it was like, no. So when I began to know who God was, this was it. And then when the dreams. I found out what the dreams were, and then I know things about people, I'm like, what is that?
Yeah.
And then I began to realize there's a prophetic call on my life. And then when it was prophesied, you know, you have a healing ministry and you're going to do this. You're gone. I'm like, you kidding me, God? You want me to do that? Yeah, but it's all him. It's. It's not got to do with me.
Yeah.
You know, he's. I'M just this vessel. He's. He's. He's using me. He's using my voice, you know, and that's it. And to help people. That's exactly what I wanted to do. So when I get emails, when people are like, oh, can you help me? I'm like, this is what I want to do.
Unless you get a really long one for me.
Let me ask you this.
Yeah.
It seems like at least in my journey, there's been multiple crushings that then instituted multiple surrenderings. I've shared some of my own personal ones with you, as. As we've talked offline before. And I'm just curious. I'm just, you know, it was part of my process. Did you find yourself going through a similar process? Because you strike me even today as someone who's completely surrendered. You know, those who know me behind the scenes know that I'm completely surrendered. Like, I don't question God's existence. I don't question that God's got his hand on my life or my family's life or the businesses that I. That I have, or any of that stuff. But that evolution took a lot of time. And I'm curious if you follow the same trajectory.
So, as in crushing, as in, like, making mistakes, and crushing, as in God.
Says, this is a.
You're.
You're not getting it. Here's a thing to deal with, like a homeless thing, almost.
So you're talking about character, like, as in. As Jesus talks about the tree, so he talks about poison as well. So if you think about my journey, the baggage that was in an A's, Stephen, if you hadn't known me, you would have been like, that is not you. That's not you. So my whole mindset had to change. So I was talking about, I was fearful, I was a drunk, I was nasty. I was doing all this. But you see, God had to train me. So if you look at King David in the Bible, if you look at even Jesus, you know, Jesus ministry didn't start until he was an adult. So we go through seasons, and it's like, say when it was prophesied to me over 10 years ago, and as you're going to do this, you're going to have a healing ministry. Straight away in my head was, let's go. Okay, put me on stage.
Yeah.
And God's like, hang on one moment. Now, I know you're my daughter, but I need to fix a few things. So surrendering then would have been. And as you need to lay this down, you need to stop Thinking like this, don't be afraid, because I'm with you. And how do you know that God is saying that? He speaks through his word, and then you have that known on the inside. I shouldn't be doing this. I need to come away from these friends. So I literally, at the start, Stephen, I lost everything. I was about to start college. I had a great job. I had loads of fake friends.
Loads of fake friends.
All that just. It's like God just went poo. And he pulled the plug, and I cried and I moaned and I didn't understand. And you go through this whole, what is going on in my life? I thought I was supposed to be blessed. I was looking at this preacher and he said, you're supposed to be. So God was sitting there going, I'll just wait till she calms down now a second. So then I realized when you said surrender, I said, one day, reading the Bible, I was looking at all these sermons. He brought all these people to me. I was learning from it hit me and I said, lord, I surrender. I can't do this. Because I was trying to do it all. And you're pushing, let's go. And God's like, let me take over, because you're just going to make a mess of things. So with the whole purging and then I had to literally stop certain things. I had to change my mindset. I had to begin to speak different. And it's not rules or regulations. That's what I get. Especially in Ireland. It's very religious.
Yeah.
You know, so. So, I mean, even people in my family sat me down when I was reading the Bible. So I stopped drinking. I wasn't smoking. I'm not going to parties anymore. I'm not with all these people. I'm not dressing with any. Everything hanging out anymore. And then my family sat down and said there was, like, a meeting and to bring me to a counselor. And I'm thinking, okay, hang on, I'm a lot better. I'm gaining weight. I'm not doing all this stuff. I'm not suicidal anymore. That feeling of death left as well, by the way, that heaviness that the pr. I had a sense of purpose now because I felt alive. Okay. But yet my family were seeing something different. And they were like, okay, you're gone. Like a religious note now. You know, you're going to church. Why are you not coming clubbing with us anymore? Why? You know, I don't. It's not like God was like, you're not allowed do this. It's Like I didn't want to do it anymore. It's. And that's the call and that's the pull. When you, when you give your life to Jesus, when you surrender, you actually don't want to do these things anymore.
Yeah.
So you have choice. So I lost everything. And it's like one day I sat down and I tried to ring like 10 different people and they wouldn't answer. And it's like God was just in control of everything. So he was leading me and guiding me all the time still to this day. And as well, it's not just that you change overnight. You go from glory to glory. It's a process. And I love what you put up during the day, Stephen. And you said it's okay to make mistakes because you learn from them. And it's true. Just as long as you learn. Yeah. You know, and that you're not staying there because then you just make a mess of it yourself. Then.
Yeah. Unfortunately, far too many people. And I'm guilty of this myself early in my life. Let our mistakes define us. It's like, you know, we do something stupid because we, you know. You know, I think Jesus said on the cross, he said, forgive them, Father, they know not what they do. Talk about a life truth. Most of the things that I've broken, screwed up, messed up or whatever were because I simply didn't know any better. Like, you know, I was following somebody else's lead or I had some kind of hurt or some kind of anger or some kind of bitterness or whatever, and I'm acting out. And, you know, and then you have to deal with the results of that acting out. It's the, you know, harvest mentality, of course. So one of the things that you, you just brought up that I think is important is so you and I both believe that we. Number one pursuit in your life is understanding your faith journey and being on that journey. We both know how fulfilling that can.
Be.
If you pursue it, sincerely pursue it. And we both encourage people in our own ways to pursue that.
Yeah.
That being said, you also brought up something else that I have. So one of the young men that works with me, he's been on his own journey for a while. Our first interaction was a four hour interaction. He threw science at me and all kinds of stuff, and it was the only time he later told me he said you were the only person that would even take the time to try to answer my questions. And the fact that I couldn't stump you blew my mind. Now, here's the crazy thing. I remember the conversation outside of knowing it took four hours. So I have no idea what was coming out of my mouth. But every time he came with something, I had something else. It's like, a lot of that was stuff that I learned when I was. You know, I spent five years as a practicing atheist, like, bitter, resentful. I went through a very similar thing at my litter box where I did the yelling. I was yelling at top of my lungs at the. At the ceiling, I hate you. Whatever. If you're so real, prove to me you're real. And I'm on the floor and just. Yeah, so another day for that story.
Yeah.
You know, but when you. When you go to look at all of this together, one of his biggest stumbling blocks, and I see this a lot with a lot of people we've worked with in the past, is this fear of missing out. If I. So if I give my life to God, then he's gonna make me stop doing this other stuff that I think is fun.
Yeah.
Do you. I found that you think it's fun because you don't know the other side. You don't gift. You know, you mentioned that you struggle with that yourself. I know you work with a lot of folks, mentoring and coaching and teaching and leading them as well. Are you finding that that's like a common, like, roadblock for them to pursue faith? Is that something that just takes time?
It's like. Well, in my column, what you're saying is I actually just didn't want to do that anymore. It's like it just came away, you know, it's like, because I wanted more of Jesus. And it's like, you know, when Jesus says to some people, come, follow me. And they're like, well, I kind of want to do this myself. Well, yeah, I will, but I'm just have to get married or, you know, have a business, you know, and. And then some people are, especially in Ireland, like I said, it's like a religious thing. They think, oh, it's boring. You're sitting there reading the Bible and, you know, you're just praying all the time. And what sort of a life do you have? What you don't understand the joy, the life, the happiness, and God blesses you. It's hard to understand. It's like, well, some people don't want to give up certain things. Yeah, they, like. They're like their comfort zone, you know? So it's like when I first got saved, when I gave my life to the Lord, there were still people coming over, but I'd Hide the Bible.
Yeah.
And then I was getting convicted and I was like, I don't even know what convicted was. And they were like, let's go here. And I'm like.
Another time, you know? But I was kind of. But God was trying to get me out of this because remember, when you give your life to Lord, when you surrender, the old is gone.
Yeah.
But some people want to hang on to the old and have the new, but it's not going to work. And then that's what kind of messes people up, you know? And then they're like, but I want to have faith and I want to do this. But I also want to hang out with my friends and go drinking and go with this guy and do this. And it's like, you're either in.
Yeah.
Or you're either out. But it's. It's actually amazing when you fully give your life to the Lord. It's like he blesses you more and more and he gives you more and he reveals more and he honors and he rewards. It's obedience. And people are afraid of that. They think the rules and regulations think it's so not. And that's something even I thought of. So I was afraid to let go of this until a bit like Abraham, when God had to get me by himself, when everything stopped around me and I taught, what's going on? Is this like the bad guy or is this me? Or. So he was trying to get my attention. But for the youth as well, even here in Ireland, I mean, people. It's like God is waking people up. It's not the whole woke thing. Yeah. It's like people are being awakened. People are desperate now. And they're like. It's like when I talk to people now, that's what they see. And they're like, why are you so happy all the time? Even my family say it to me and I get messages. Why do you look glowy? Why are you happy? And I'm like, will I tell you his name? It's not got to do with me. By the way, his name is Jesus. And they kind of go, huh? I mean, I've witnessed to. I've spoken to Muslims, I've spoke to homeless. I just have this. It's just Jesus in me.
Yeah.
And he just comes out. And there was this guy, Stephen, if I could share this real quick. There was this guy, he was about 18, 19. I was going to the, to this, to the store one day and I was with my little son and he's real chatty, you know, were coming out and there was this guy and he just drew my attention. And he looked at me and he asked for some money, and I just looked at him. And sometimes Jesus just comes out and it can be bold, you know. And I just looked at him, why are you sitting there? And he. He kind of looked at me and he started to cry. And I find that a lot. And that's how, you know, it's not you, it is the spirit of God. And he just started to well up, you know, and my son was looking at him, and my son was smiling, you know, And I said, why are you sitting there? You know, you have your whole life ahead of you. And he started to just look around as if, yeah, you're right. And I said, where are you from? He told me where he was from, and I gave him whatever. And I spoke to him and I said, this is your destiny. Get up and do this. Go home, Shake the dust off. And he's like.
It just takes. It can just be award. It can be an encouragement. People think it's like all scriptures and all religious, you know, Jesus comes out just when you're talking, you know, it's all I could talk for ages about.
Well, I mean, and I find that as well.
It seems like especially when you've been completely surrendered and people do. They do pick up on the presence that's around you, near you, surrounding you. They don't always recognize what that presence is or where it comes from. Sometimes people ask so you can tell them more, you know, but one of the things that I find just with your story is that oftentimes I'm giving the words they need to hear at the moment. They need to hear them. Nothing more and nothing less.
Yeah.
You know, and I think that's a telltale sign of God working in someone's life. You know, there's. I'm always respectful of people on their journey because I remember what it was like to be castigated.
Almost like people were picking up stones and throwing them at me, you know, kind of scenario when I was on my atheist, I'll call it a binger, so to speak. You know, I was out there believing and hating and, you know, and most of the reason that kept me from faith for so long kept me uncurious. In other words, I wasn't curious. Right. I think curiosity begins the wooing or the awakening, so to speak. We were just talking about. But what kept me from that so many times was, unfortunately, people who professed to be Christians, who weren't acting Very Christlike. You know, I see you smile. It's like you experienced it too.
Yeah.
So one of the things that I know that you and I are both very passionate about is making sure that we don't do that. And, you know, that we are a semblance of the king that put us on this planet. And, you know, I try to operate in love as much as I possibly can. I'll never forget this. My grandfather referred to me as the little soul winner from the time that I was born all the way until he passed away in 2016. So I was very much an adult by then. So he would introduce me to people. This is my little soul winner. This is the soul winner. This is the soul winner. All this kind of stuff. And when I was an atheist, I'm like, stop calling me that. Knock it off. Like, da, da, da, da, da. You know, and Big Bang Theory and dinosaurs. And he would say, I got a question for you. We came from monkeys, right? Well, yeah. Well, how come there's not. How come we still have monkeys? It seems like all the monkeys would be people by now, right? You know, just silliness. And I would. I would go.
You know, and then, you know, and it was just interesting because the only reason I let it was led back to faith. And the only reason I began to start that journey myself was because of a wooing that came through my grandfather. And the one thing that I remember most about all of that was he never judged me, he never condemned me. And granted, I knew what I was doing wrong, he knew what I was doing wrong, but he never used those as tools to say, you need faith. He would tell me to dig deeper, look more often, and just keep seeking and you'll find Keep seeking, you'll find, Keep seeking, you'll find. Once I finally got back to a level of faith, one of the things that he shared with me before he passed, he put his hand on my head back in. This is. Back in 2016. He prayed over me. And he says, before you rise, you're to be one part lion and one part lamb.
Wow.
And you're supposed to. And God will give you the wisdom to know the difference. So certain times, I'm a sledgehammer in certain aspects. Certain times I'm as loving and as empathetic as they come, depending on the situation and what that person's facing. But each time, change happens.
Yeah.
You know, and that's. That's one of the things I love most about this conversations because, you know, I meet so many amazing people. They have amazing platforms and, you know, they're doing great things in the earth and all that's well and good, but I don't get to stretch my legs a little bit as regards to my faith. And Bo, who's a good friend of mine who actually helps me with a lot of my podcast situations and bookings and stuff like that. He's actually. He is actually from Ireland, so he and I met. We had the. We had the both. The fact that we were both homeless connection. The back. We both love Ireland, you know, because, you know, Ireland's like my second home. As soon as I can get back over there, Covid stuff, I'm coming back with my wife. And that's just the second home for us.
We have to meal big time.
Yeah, absolutely. You know, when we started doing this, you know, he started putting it, and he recently told me, he goes, stephen, he goes, I think it's okay, and it's time for you to stretch your legs with your faith a little bit.
Yeah.
I said, well, rock on, let's do that.
Wow, that's so powerful.
Speaking of that, one of the things that you do on a month in, month out basis that I greatly appreciate. So I watch. I watch every video you put out.
So.
So, just for the record.
But one of those things is like a monthly prophetic word over the month, and May is going to be a great month based on the prophetic word for a lot of folks. Curious how you found yourself having a prophetic word for the month or what calls you to that? Because I don't see that with a lot of folks in the space. They'll give a. Maybe they're talking to one person, but they don't really get a tonality for the entire month. How did you discover that?
Okay, well, first of all, that was amazing about your granddad. We love our grandparents, right?
Yes. Yes, we do.
But I mean, that. That is. I mean, your name is prophetic Stephen, so. Oh, you've a great journey ahead of you. So keep going. But anyway, we say no more. So about that. Yeah, it's like yourself. You know, I had to learn about my car. It wasn't just like, inez, get on the pulpit and preach. No.
Yeah.
Like everybody else, I have to go through train. I'm still going through training. I mean, I haven't even started yet, Steve. So, I mean, I just. Baby steps right now. Yeah. So I have mentor myself. You know, Beverly angel, she is just amazing businesswoman, brilliant, and great mentor. She keeps me in check as well.
So. But I learned from her. So this. This is what I mean. When I was young, I had no clue. I would have dreams. And not just dreams. I see things. Okay. So if you don't know who you are, so there's the bad guy, the devil, you could say, and then there's God. So if you have a prophetic calling, the devil will use that for his purposes. So you can go the wrong way. Okay. So if God didn't get me in time, I know that I would have been dead, Stephen. Yeah, I know. Well, I had no idea what was happening to me. So I'd wake up and I'd see a word. Now, I mean, spiritually. So it would come up in my spirit and I didn't know. So I'd get a word, say grace or Stephen or flowers, and I'm like, what is that? You know, I didn't know. So it's like, even in the Bible, you know, there was Elijah, there was prophetic skills, you know, so it's like even me. So people to be out there. I'm not going to criticize anybody, because that's not the thing. But there's people out there that do their own thing. But you need to be mentored and trained, and it's just like a mechanic, like a hairdresser. This is how you do it properly, and this is what you don't do.
Yeah.
And like you said, I like that. We all make mistakes. We learn from them. Same here. Just because you've fallen on your life, people in churches, you mess up, you know, but you have to learn from that. And like you said, also, there's consequences when you do the wrong thing. But with that prophetic gift, I had to learn about that and I had to have impartations on me, and I had to be prayed for and I had to understand. So how do you do that as well? The first thing I do in the morning is I get up. First of all, I'm grateful and thankful I'm alive. I have my children, I have my family life. Thank you, Jesus. You know, so then I spend time in the Word, and then it's like, it's totally different to people. You know, people say, oh, I get the same thing. I get the same thing. But when there's a call in your life, it's totally different.
Yeah.
Okay. So it could be reading a word and something can come out. I can see. People say, you see visions all the time. What's a vision? You know, there's dreams where you see a dream. There's real dreams from God. And then there's kind of. You're just your mind, you know, there's prophetic dreams. And then I've also had open visions where, I mean, I'm sitting here and it's like a cloud would appear and I maybe would see a scene take place. And when that began to happen to me, I'm thinking. Because, I mean, it's just a blink of an eye. It's like you go like that and it's okay. So that's happened to me a few times. So then it's like when I was learning about prophetic, you know, and I'd get these words or a scripture would come up and then God would give me. It's like it comes out of my spirit. And it's like he gives me the interpretation then of what it is. So you have to determine then, is it you? Is it me? Is the spirit of God. So he teaches you this. So as you walk with God, as you learn to hear him. So. Especially in the ward. So my eye gate, my ears can't be messed up with the things of this world. So that's also about surrendering. So you have to come away from this because you don't want any of that junk in your head either. Yeah. So your life, your heart has to be right. Like I said, we all mess up and stuff like that, you know, But God leads you in the right way. So on my prophetic call, it's like I could be speaking to you, and you're talking to me now, and in my spirit, in my known. It's like words of wisdom, words of knowledge. I could know you were crying last night. I could know you're angry the other day, but how would I bring that out? Do I say it? Or. God could lead me to speak something encouraging to you, and it's how to manage it, just like anything else, you know, on how to deal with people in love, which is what you said.
Yeah.
You know, so it could be anything. So when I have my prayer times with friends, you know, they have words about me. We sit there and we'll pray, you know, we'll have a word for each other. And it's not just, oh, I think this, or I think this about Stephen or about your wife. No, you're not going to say anything unless you know it's from God. So that's why I'm very, very careful as well what I say.
Yeah.
So when I sit down, like you said the monthly word, I will sit there for even hours and I'll take it's mostly a Saturday. It's just me and God. I'll have worship. I'll have. The kids are gone, everything else is gone. And I'll sit there with the Bible. I'll just sit there and I'll just meditate. I could be just watching a sermon. It could be anything. And all of a sudden it's like, I guess scriptures I'll get you say about grace, you talk about honor. And then he'll give me a scripture. It'll start to come up on the inside. Yeah. And then it'll come out. And then I'll pray over that. I won't say anything unless God says.
Yeah.
And then has to be nothing of me. It has to be all of Him, Stephen. Yeah, so I've learned that as well. So, you know, I've made mistakes as well. But then God will lead and he'll go out. But it's. Especially with people, one on one. Swell. And I'm talking about could be someone on the street, homeless person, someone in a store, you know, and I could feel this person needs encouragement or even my friends as well. People in ministry as well. And they correct me or they'll talk to me. So there's times and seasons for everything.
Yeah.
There's times we need encouragement. There's times God will impart something and edify you. And you're like, wow. Or, Stephen, this is going to happen in your ministry and you're going to come in contact with this person. You're like. Or he could say, you know, Stephen, you know, you need to take some time now and relax and spend time with me. Don't be fearful, don't be worried. And you be like, I needed that.
Yeah.
So that's God. And God is love. God is a father. You know, people think that he's just like, oh, I can't do this and I'm not allowed to die and I have to live like this. It's just, get up, live your day.
Yeah.
He wants you to be happy. He wants you to live your life, but he wants other people to know about him.
Yeah.
So it's like, say that guy, the homeless guy, he just needed that word that day, and he lit up straight away. And there was another guy, a Muslim guy, actually. He was sitting in a wheelchair, and I was walking up the road and I got bold and he was like, please, please, please. You know, I turned around, I said, jesus Christ is the one you should be following.
He said, it's true, it's true, it's true.
Wow.
I've had Some. I could talk to you for hours. How God has just done things. I can even cry just talking about because he's so amazing. And even your listeners listen to this. Jesus loves them so much. He has a plan. He has a purpose for your life. You know, you need to get up each day, just be thankful. You know, it might look bleak and it might look like nothing's happening. And that step of fate is when you just move and just believe that's it. And he'll just take your places. Stephen, as you know.
People come in your life.
Yeah.
He blesses you and he lifts you and he loves you.
Amen to that. There's no doubt about that.
Amazing.
I love it. I love it. You know, it's, it's, it's good to spend time with, with people that have. Have been to some pretty dark places and have discovered the real light and finding identity in your created value and not the identity in your subjugated value. Like some, you know, your, your, Your job, your. Your relationship, your, your, you know, your, Your parental role and, and seeing your identity all in that altogether. You're doing so many different amazing things. How can people stay connected with you and learn more about what you're doing? Oh, sorry. I want, I needed to. I need to say this. For those of you guys listening and watching.
The prophetic monthly words have been accurate to date since I've been watching. Since I've been watching for two years, including prophecies that were geared up towards the US Government and some other things.
Oh, we going there?
Yeah. No, I'm not, I'm not going there. They can go watch your videos and see that stuff. But what I'm saying is there's definitely a prophetic call in your life because the evidence shows that when you've spoken a prophetic word, the evidence shows there's accuracy behind the prophetic word.
Amen.
You know what I'm saying? And the reason I say that is because for my listeners who are struggling to find their faith, maybe they haven't found it. Maybe they're seeking it. Maybe they're at the cusp of it. Maybe they're in the middle of it. Maybe they already believe in the prophetic world and awesome, you know, kind of thing, all of them can benefit from your videos, all of them can benefit from your content. And you do a great job of showing your heart, being vulnerable, never, never trying to be something that you're not. That's, I think that's one of the things.
Attracted me most to your channel early on. A couple years ago was the fact that you weren't trying to be anybody, you were just.
No, just be real. Yeah, Just. Just be. I mean, that's it. Like, what's the point of coming up? I don't understand that. You know, when people are fake.
Yeah.
You know, just be you. Because fake will always show. You know what I mean? And I remember even Steve, when I started the YouTube, I put about three videos up and I took them down. Put about three videos up.
And I took them down.
Yeah.
And I felt God was like, put it out. So I remember for about two months or something, I don't know what it was. And I was just making videos, just in my home, putting stuff out. No views, nothing. And that's the other thing as well, with God. That's fate.
Yeah.
It's just like your listeners, it's just keep going. Just believe. And even if you're trying to do something yourself, whether it's a blog, a blog, you're trying to start something and nothing's happening. Keep going. Because the day happens when it goes boom.
Yeah.
And it just explodes out. And I mean, that's exactly what.
Exactly what happened. I watched it happen. And we're talking. We're talking. We're talking from zero subs to like tens of thousands of subs, and it's growing every day.
And that's even as well because I'm actually involved in a professional prophetic ministry myself, and that's my mentor. So when I get imparted with them, when I go to London in. In the church, you know, and when they've prayed for me. And that's why you need a prophetic gift. People think I'm not interested in that. You know, I'm not doing this. But I mean, the prophetic shifts, you know. Yeah, yeah. When your friends. I mean, I have prophetic friends. And whenever we pray, I mean, boom, the next day something happens. Yeah. So it's very, very important. And everything in the Bible is real. So Jesus is real, the prophetic is real. You know, connections are real. So it's like, I need that too.
Yeah.
So when that happened with me, it was like, boom. But you see, God had to keep me on track. And you need to stay real.
Stay at the level. You don't go up there or he'll. He'll take you down pretty quickly. Yeah. And even now, it's at this minute, you know, in the next year or two, things are just going to go. Because I haven't even stepped into my destiny yet. And it's nothing to be like, this is what I'm going to do. I'm actually even nervous myself because I know God is going to do amazing things.
I learned a long time ago that the greatest destiny you can have is awakening a destiny and somebody else. And that's something you do very, very well. And I can't wait to watch it skyrocket and continue to grow. It's going to be amazing. How can everybody find more about you and learn to connect with your own stuff?
Even just my name, anais Marnin on YouTube. You know, it's there and the same again. I just have my name in A's Marinen on Instagram, on Twitter, and I have Facebook and it's an A's Marin and ministry, if you want to type that in. And that's it. I'm there. And I'm just sharing my story. I'm real. And just email me or whatever. And I pray for you. And Stephen, you're there from day one.
Yeah.
And you're in great encouragement. And just thank you for all that you do. Love you and your family and what you do. You even inspire me. I mean, hey.
Oh, thank you so much.
Ireland, when?
Yeah, no, you know what I need? I need to do a transform. You live in Ireland. That would be fun. Come do the live event in Ireland. That would be amazing. Maybe we can figure that out. We'll. We'll pray that into existence and make that a reality.
We'll do all that. I mean, your wife and everything and Karen and everything and just praying for you guys and love you and you stay strong.
Yes, ma'. Am.
Thanks for this opportunity.
Oh, we had a blast. I can't wait to do it again, man.
I could talk for hours.
All right, well, I guess we'll go ahead and. We'll go ahead and wrap this up. But I really appreciate you. I can't. I can't wait to see everything that you're doing and we'll call it out. Take care.
Thank you, Stephen. Thank you. Okay, bye. Bye.
Whether you're in the US or over in Ireland, make sure you check out Inez Marin. I hope you enjoyed that video. And if you did, you're really going to like this one right here. So check it out.
So the source of the pain isn't the source of the problem. And so many people going to therapy come in with a presenting problem, but it's not the problem. I'm an alcoholic. No, your problem is you don't feel worthy enough.
