Hi, I'm Stephen Scoggins. I want to welcome you back to the Journey Principles. Each week we try to give you a video that matters. Our goal here is simple. We will hope to encourage your mind and inspire your heart. Well, today let's talk about faith. You ever think much about faith? Can we ever have too much faith? How do we know if we have faith? You see, faith is the substance of things hoped for, yet unseen. That does not necessarily mean that we will have what we hope for or that it will never materialize. But it's an example. How many of us have ever taken an art class in the middle of school or high school? Somewhere in that lesson on the color wheel, we learned that black is actually not a color, but rather it's the absence of light. That's a unique thought. See, scientists will also tell you that there is no such thing as cold, only the absence of heat. You see, I believe that fear is nothing more than the absence of faith. And faith strengthens our resolve in the face of fear. So on a snowy day, there's nothing better than sitting in the front of a fireplace and wrapping up in a warm blanket to wet well escape the cold. Escaping fear is as easy as surrounding yourself in the blanket and comfort of faith. I have personally found my greatest faith in Jesus Christ. Now, that's my perspective. But faith is not something that can be obtained all at once. But it grows and develops over every day. Faith is a free gift, but it does not come without adversity. If you are facing a difficult circumstance right now, then know that faith can ignite your future. Life will always present obstacles, but each obstacle is an opportunity to draw closer to God and to cultivate a more resilient and stronger you. You see, faith creates a new hope. A hope that creates a new outcome. And that's what we want to share with you today. So go live in faith. I'm Stephen Scoggins. Encourage you to heal, grow and go. And we'll see you on the next journey. Principal.
