Joel Puthoff, CEO of Lynxy, slept in his car for several days to make payroll during a cash-flow crisis. He lost a 20-year-old team member to a freak accident, which deepened his belief that choosing your hard shapes your destiny. He credits sleep, exercise, and human connection as keys to resilience.
We were at, you know, fear of making payroll, and I was traveling and on the road. And man, I could spend money on hotels this week, or I could pay one of my employees on time that needs to get paid. And I slept in my car for several days saving money on travel and doing everything I could to make payroll.
My special guest today is the CEO and co-founder of Lynxy. He has also trained over 250 entrepreneurs himself personally. He's a serial entrepreneur. He's been very successful. Guys, please help me welcome the one and only Joe Putoff.
One of them was 20 years old. He was on my team. He was like a young prodigy on my team, and he kind of died in a freak accident, and it really woke me up and it put me through this like level of sadness. Do hard things. It's like choose your hard. I don't know if you ever heard that. Choose your hard or hard will choose you. Choose an easy life, hard will find you. Yeah. If you choose to do difficult things, figure out what the heck your purpose and mission is behind it, uh, and curiosity, because you're going to need it. All the habit stacking that fuels human optimization— sleep, exercise, gut health, all these things— you know what the number one was? All the research supports human connection, quality meaningful human connection.
