In this video, I'm going to share the biggest mistake I made when developing my professional life and my relationships and how you can actually avoid doing the same. So go ahead and stay tuned.
Why did I do that? I can't tell you how many times I've said that to myself, not even having the slightest clue or on why I did the things that I knew that actually would get me into trouble. And I did them over and over again, of all things.
Guys, let's face it, we've all been there and I was surprised at how universal that feeling is for really everyone around us. But go ahead and imagine, if you will, if you could avoid those same stupid mistakes and huge misunderstandings just with one simple piece of knowledge and a little bit of hard work. You see, some time ago, I finally realized that not understanding how I was wired was actually costing me valuable opportunities. And I was sick and tired of actually missing out. How much do you think not understanding how you're wired has cost you or is costing you? Now I know in my case it cost me relationships, a ton of money, and honestly, several professional career opportunities. That was until I learned a principle that I'm going to share with you guys today. And that is you have to know yourself in order to advance yourself. Here at the Journey Principles Institute, we teach that there are three main buckets you need to focus on if you want to transform every single area of your every single area of your life. These buckets are what drives you so kind of discovering what that is, how to map out a life you love, how to actually create a map, and how to build better relationships that can actually be part of your plan to keep you moving forward. Basically get self, aware, create a detailed plan and build solid relationships to help you on your journey. The first of these three buckets is self awareness. Why? Because it's incredibly vital. The greatest mistake I ever made was not taking the time to understand what drove me, what motivated me, and to take action in the world. And when this isn't clear, nothing else will ever be clear. In fact, in the seven stages of life mastery, the first step you'll take after your initial call, after step number one is obviously step number number two. And that's called transformation through the process of self awareness. It's the first step when you actually want to take yourself seriously and begin to transform yourself. You see, we always get the results of the seeds we plant. And if you want a better life, we have to plant better seeds to get there. In order to do that, an important principle to live by is focus on knowing yourself before you focus on knowing others. Here are some advantages of getting more self aware. Less mistakes Better communication Increased authenticity Higher levels of productivity Lower levels of procrastination Lower levels of frustration More control over your actions the ability to make much better decisions and honestly, so much more self awareness is so important that you're never going to get the full benefit until you fully understand it. Okay, so if you're like me, you may be saying to yourself, that's great, but how do I actually become self aware? Where do I actually start? Well, that's the exciting part about this video We've put together a customized personality assessment that you can actually take for free. This offer may not be available for long because the assessment is worth well over $100. But for now you can take our Journey Principles Personality Assessment for free and get an in depth full report on you. Why is it so important that you can take the test? Because in order to become unstoppable, you have to know what's standing in your way and what you can do to leverage the best parts of you for a much brighter future. This report is 80 pages on you, the real you, because you'll actually get the time to know who you really are at your core. You can then uncover how you need to act in order to get a better result and consistently improve. The report will help you get clear on several things including why you do what you do, what your natural gifts and talents are, and how you actually take action with what needs to be done to be far more productive. And let's be honest, there's a whole lot more inside of it than that too. It's really broken into three phases. Your disc, personality style, your personal values index and the attributes of your actual emotional being and security. Developing true self awareness gives you the power to reach a whole new level and get you well on your way to building the life of your dreams. We're almost out of time for today, but hopefully I gave you something to consider as you're starting to develop this thing called self awareness so you can actually build a life where passion, purpose and fulfillment are part of your everyday life and far more than what you ever thought possible.
