Put you where you are today is not going to be the same thing that's going to take you where you're meant to be tomorrow. It's just not going to happen. Instead, what you've got to be doing is learning something new about yourself, about your identity, about your self awareness, about your personal growth, about your finances. You've got to pick a subject matter on a daily basis and learn more information about how successful people do those very same things. For example, if I was going to stay in the same financial position that I grew up in, I would listen to the people who put me in the financial situation to begin with. On the other hand, when I wanted to change my financial life, I began to listen to Steve Myrick, who some of you guys from watching the videos have heard me talk about before. My very first mentor. He's the one that told me one specific thing, and that is the difference between a rich man and a poor man is nothing more than the way they think. And in order to be successful, you've got to think differently. In order to brainwash yourself for success, you've got to be very intentional about the information that you're consuming on a regular basis. Basis. You can spend all your free time on the video games or on social media or doing all these other things. Meanwhile, people are going to pass you by because they are focused on learning information on their finances, their relationships, their self awareness. You've got to stay focused and you got to be intentional. I personally at the gym, will spend half of my time at the gym doing cardiovascular stuff that I mentioned earlier while watching and listening to content that are continuing to develop me as a person, which by definition is daily growth. I'm daily focused on learning something new and increasing my overall perspective of how I can better achieve my own goals and outcomes. And if you do the same thing, I know it will work for you. All right, let's go on to number four, which is to remove distractions. One of the most important things I've learned, especially over the last 24 months is this. The more distraction you have, the more inept you're going to be in actually getting things done. Why? Because those distractions are causing you to bounce all over the place. If your email is constantly dinging and you're constantly looking at your notifications on your cell phone, or you're constantly over here talking to this person and you're coming back over here to do this thing and you got to come back over here to do this thing. The longer that's going on, the More difficult it's going to be for you to focus. People that are super, super successful, top 1%, top 5% of the world, all of them have a way of saying no to more things than they say yes to. Why? Because it removes distractions. I can't come into the office every day and play around and hope to get home in a timely fashion. Time with my beautiful wife. Removing distractions is a brain hack that everybody should be doing. The first thing you should be doing right now, as you're listening to this is actually thinking about all the different things that you can shut off or say no to. Right? It's okay. You can't do everything all at once. You can't be everything to all people. Instead, focus on the main priority that's going to help you get to the place you need to be to take the next step in your life. And then if you're able, go back and do some of the things that were more fun and energetic and things of that nature. Right. There is a price to be paid if you're going to have massive success in your life and you've got to remove distractions to get there. Now, before we move on, consider doing me a favor. Pretty please, with sugar on top and a little cherry. And that is subscribe to the channel. Core objectives are nothing more than the main priority. First, okay, what do I need to do today to get the largest lift that's going to affect me tomorrow? So maybe I'm maximizing my time by saying no today, that gives me more time tomorrow. Maybe I'm changing how I budget my money. That's going to give me more seed money to utilize and invest tomorrow. Your core objectives are nothing more than the highest priority items. Now, the tricky part is making sure that the high priority items are in fact the high priority items. And you've got to be able to look through a lens in such a way that actually says this objective is going to give me the greatest return of investment. Roi, time, talent and resources. If I invest my time, talent and resources here, I'm going to get a maximum output for my time, talent and resources here. That's the definition of a core objective. But you've got to hone in on those to make sure that you're focused on the right ones to give you the right results. All right, number six, diligence. The most underutilized practice I see with modern people we work with is the lack of diligence. They want it, but they're not really willing to go after it. And you got to go after it. You can't play around. Diligence is brought on by repetitive behavior patterns that actually put action to. To your wants and your needs and your outcomes. If you're not taking action on a regular basis consistently, then you are not being diligent. You can't take an action on Tuesday and then skip Wednesday and then take an action on Thursday and skip Friday. Diligence is taking action every single day, including on the seventh day, which is rest. I'm being diligent with getting rest so I can attack Monday through Saturday. You see what I'm saying? And what you get to see as a natural uphill battle becomes natural to your core. And that's what you. Diligence is important because diligence is where the rubber meets the road and where you actually get things done. And if you're not getting things done, you're not going to have the results. I know it seems like it's so simple. Anybody can get it. But how many times are you wasting your day like I used to do, wasting my time and energy on stuff that's not important. You see what I'm saying? Like, you can't, like, bust it all day long, know you need to learn some information and then spend your time just going to the club or playing Xbox all night. I'm not saying you shouldn't have an outlet for fun from time to time. What I am saying is you got to put the priorities in place, and you got to put the actions behind it to make the priorities produce the results you want, which creates diligence. You can't play around, so stop playing around. Don't play around. All right. Number seven. One of the most underrated tools in brainwashing yourself for success is continually reflecting on where you're at, how you got there, and what needs to change. I have a daily reflection process that I ask myself, hey, look, how did the day go? What am I most proud of? What am I maybe not so encouraged by? Maybe something I didn't get done? What type of result do I want for tomorrow? Is there somebody I need to go say I'm sorry to you? See what I'm saying? You've got to learn to look at yourself objectively, like watching yourself on a movie screen as a character, right? So let's assume you're the narrator of the movie. Well, as the narrator of the movie, you're actively watching yourself as a character and the decision the character is making. Sometimes the decisions are great, sometimes those decisions aren't. But as a narrator, you can see further down the movie line than the person actually as the character. So you got to step outside of yourself and actually take the time to reflect. What do I want? What do I need? Who can I get encouraged by what inspires me? How can I shape things differently? A great place to start is either a digital journal with your iPhone or your Google phone or something like that, or with an actual hand journal. I personally like a printed journal because I can actually put my my own touch on it. And it's nice when somebody kind of comes along down the road. You can actually see your handwriting. Now, you may struggle like I do from time to time and have sloppy handwriting. So maybe the digital device is better. No matter what device, no matter what methodology you use, the point is to continually be reflecting on what could be done differently to propel you towards the place you want to be. Now, seriously, if you're going to brainwash yourself for success, you have to get things in place and actually wrap up your mind in daily habits to become daily results. That's the best way to keep you moving forward. And if you want more information on how to do that, check out this video right here.
