You, as an entrepreneur, get the opportunity to serve and help and heal others, but you also get the opportunity, your customers are going to come back into your life to help you heal yourself, learn to love yourself at a greater level.
You've been inspiring me for quite some time with your work on rewiring the brain. Like, you know, overcoming the limiting beliefs, overcoming the things that cause the things that cause the behaviors that cause the thing, right? How did you get into this work and why are you so, like, I guess, dead set or passionate about it?
It's crazy because I got into it being in practice. I started working with patients and literally I had patients would come in and say, my back hurt, my back hurt, my back hurt. And I was like, okay, what? I look at their chart, right? And I'd look at it and say, why does it hurt? Their pain always shows up on the 3rd of the month. And I'd ask, why is it the third of the month? And so they start asking more questions, right? You can't just assume things. You got to get more diagnostics and ask more questions. And I find it out that literally in the third of the month, I'm like, what's going on? And he says, well, I've got this problem and it happens on the 3rd of the month. I'm like, okay, what is it? And he's like, it's the mortgage. It's the mortgage. Because every. Every third of the month, me and my wife were fighting about money on paying on the mortgage. And I thought, that's interesting. Why? So every time they did that. So then I started putting it together and I started asking different questions and I started helping them heal. And I said, look, I'm not going to touch your body, I'm not going to touch your spine. I'm not going to touch anything. All I want you to do today is just ask yourself these three questions. And I did some of the questions and things like that with him. And as I started the process and started to heal his life and started to heal his back, he was like, I didn't do anything. And I felt better. Yeah. Huh. That's interesting. And so I did this and I started getting clients from all over, you know, in practice and patients, then, you know, within the community, then, you know, clients and business associates, all this stuff started to happen. And then I went through a brutal divorce myself because I was so stuck in my blindness and I was stuck in pride and. And, you know, I had to humble my life. And my ex wife was a great teacher of that. And Taught me some beautiful lessons on how to humble myself. And, you know, I sat there with a lemon to eat for four days, and I had no money, couldn't see my kids. I couldn't do anything. And then I was on stage speaking, you know, because I love speaking. I love teaching, just like you do. And I was like, I want to help people. I'd be backstage with people, and I'd tell people the story. Or I'd be going out there and I'd sit and say, hey, look, here's what you got to do. You got to do these affirmations. You got to do all this stuff. And I'd come back, and I'd go back into the room, and these veterans of the industry whose names I won't mention, let's sit and say, look, I got to change my life. I'm not making any money. I'm getting drilled here.
Yeah.
I said, I need help. I'm like, I got nothing to eat. I like, if I don't pay child support, like, you know, I'm going to have the 50 coming knocking on my door. And they said, well, you just got to change your beliefs. And I said, okay, that sounds great, but how do you do it? How do you change your beliefs? I said, well, you just change them. And I said, okay, well, that makes no sense to me. How. I said, well, how do I know what my beliefs really are? Yeah. And they said, well, you just look at your environment, and those are your beliefs.
And I thought, stephen, that's the bunch of biggest crap I've ever heard. Yeah, I really thought it was the biggest crap I've ever heard, because we've all heard, you know, change your beliefs, change your life. You can sum up the entire personal development industry in one sentence. Change your beliefs, change your life, end the story, change, period. Done. Right. Yeah, but there's more to it, obviously. And I said, that's a bunch of garbage, because someone can walk into my office or walk into my practice with low back pain, and that's the symptom. Yeah, but the problem could be a back pain, could be a disc, could be a herniate disc, could be a low back issue, could be a brain strain, could be a subluxation, could be. It could be cancer, for crying out loud. Right? It could be almost 200 different things that were causing the symptoms of the back pain.
And when they said that to me, and this guy said that to me, he said, that's your. Those are your beliefs. And I said, that's a bunch of crap. Because we don't know. Yeah, we don't know what exactly is causing my money situation to be that. It was. We weren't figuring out exactly what was causing that. It was just the symptom. So we're basing our life on the symptoms. And personal development, in my humble opinion, is looking at the symptom, not the cause. Yeah, so I went back and I went like a mad scientist, pulled out my copy and I just went to town. I pulled out my, my textbooks and everything and I started mapping out the brain. How we create neuro associations, how we create patterns, how we create beliefs, how we create the associations of our life and where this all starts and stems and creates and, and I did a process to myself and I figured out that like, hey, look, you know, and I did. It's now called the belief inventory. I did it for myself to save my own life. And then people started wanting to know about it and other associates started to know about it and people's grades, you know, people would say, can you help my kids with their grades? And that would go up all of a sudden, business associates. And then it just kind of turned into a thing and that's. I wanted to create a scientific process that I could take anybody and change their mind, body, health and their business all at the same time. And that's what the work does.
Well, fast forward to today. Like, obviously you're in the middle of an amazing live event at the time of this, this particular recording. I'm sure you'll make it available for everybody online after the fact. But I'm curious, what is life like now? Post belief in Tory Post, working with thousands of people Post, like, what do you, what are you seeing in the trends and the transact transactions or transitions if you will, of the work you've been doing?
Well, the work has gotten more detailed. The work is much more finite now. It's crazy because we. So we do these labs and these studies in my, in my work and I've literally taken, I take clients and I take their mind, body work and I've just started doing this more and more where I have them do the neurotransmitters tests and their hormones and their blood work and, and everything they're gene testing and I lay the whole thing out and I can, I can pretty much from their blood testing tell you someone's personality. I can tell you what their psychology is and from their psychology I can almost reverse engineer and tell you what their blood work's going to be. And it's wild to like, it's. It's like Neo, when he sees the Matrix. Yeah, it's honestly like that.
Let me get this straight. So personality is actually controlled by biology 100%. All right?
Personality is controlled by neurotransmitters.
That is like associations. Yeah.
Yeah.
All right, well, walk me through it, because this is. This is.
To me.
So your brain, every single thing that you're doing inside of your brain is a based on neurotransmitters. You have basically five basic neurotransmitters. If you want me to go into it, I can a little bit, but just. You've heard of these, so I'll just drop the names. But we. We won't make it too crazy about it. But it's dopamine, serotonin.
Glutamate, glycine, gabapentin, epinephrine, norepinephrine. These are. These are the neurotransmitters, the basic one. There's hundreds of neurotransmitters, but these are the big boys, as they call them, right? Some will say five to seven of these. Now, these things are constantly interacting inside of your brain and creating you to actually follow paths and patterns. So if you think that you like this. I don't drink coffee anymore, but this is like a mushroom tea that I drink, right? Okay. So in my brain, when I drink this mushroom tea, I get a dopamine response, okay? And that dopamine response creates in my brain, says, oh, this is good. And it elicits a response from you to say, I want more of that, because I call that good. Now, if this was bitter and really, like, didn't taste well, I wouldn't get a dopamine response. I would probably get a cortisol response, or I'd probably get a norepinephrine response inside of it, which would say it's bad. It would cause stress to the system. And so it's like, I don't want more of that. So our entire psychology of what we think we like and we don't like is really based on the neurochemicals that are going on inside of our brains asking us to look for these things. For example, like, for more sugars, the foods that we eat, the foods that we crave, all this stuff is basically neurotransmitters in the brain.
Huh. Interesting. So basically, it's. There's an element of truth and says you. For what you search for, you find. Because your brain is literally trying to search for the things that makes it feel a specific way.
It Does. It's looking for it. It's looking for it to make it feel a certain way. But the problem is this, is that what we want necessarily is not what we need.
What we want is not what we need. And I'll just use cupcakes, for example. Sure, cupcakes are good. The first one's real good. The second one's really good. The third one's not so great. The fourth one, it's like, I don't know, someone says, you got to eat a fifth one or, you know, it's worth a hundred bucks. Fine, I'll give you your why, I'll do it. But by the time you have the sixth one, the body says, enough of this sugar, throw up, vomit. Get rid of that. Right? Yeah. So whatever we think is good eventually turns into something that's too much. And our body and our neurotransmitters, our intuition gets us back to a state where we go back to balance. It's always looking for that state. In our system, we call it homeostasis. In the world, we call it balance. In the Eastern, they called it ying or yang, whatever you want to call it. But physiologically, we call it homeostasis. And our body's always trying to get us back to that. Here's the interesting thing that for my entrepreneurs who are listening into this, why this is important is because if it's going on in your body, it's also going on in your thinking.
Yeah.
It's going on in your business, it's going on in your family, it's going on in your relationships, it's going on in your bank account. But if we're not attuned to seeing this thing, this is the universal principle that we need to pay attention to because our mind and body are working together to become more and more congruent. And the more congruent we become with it, the more opportunities of abundance we create. Huh.
Wow, that's pretty profound. There's no other way to say it.
How much is the, the study of quantum tied up in the work that you're doing? Are you, Are you pro? Are you like, not pro? I'm curious to understand your perspective of quantum.
I'm pro at all, man. I'm pro everything, learn everything. That's what I love to sit and say, right? Because quantum physics has a great, great value. And we're already living in a quantum world. Inside of it, we have atomic computers, we, you know, the quarks, and. And so there's. There is a quantum element to healing, right? You could do. Like, it's crazy, the stuff that is happening. Like, I've taken cases where people will heal conditions that shouldn't heal.
And I shouldn't say this, that I'm not healing them. They're just. I call it healing because to me, healing is just an acronym of health, helping, energy aligned with love.
Yeah.
And I said the ultimate quantum frequency is love at the end of the day.
Yeah.
And so if you look at it from that space, quantum has a great space because anything that is a wave potential goes down to balance. And anything that's an emotional state creates chaos in the system. And the more we can get to a state of potentiality is the Deepak would like to say. Right.
Yeah.
That's the state of balance and order and of infinite wisdom that lives. So it's kind of a culmination of wisdom and quantum simultaneously.
Yeah. Well, I think that. I mean, I think, like you, I think they're. They're both highly intertwined. I've. I've been the. On the receiving end of miracles, what we would call them. Right. Some in high states of meditation.
Sure.
Some in high states of prayer meditation kind of thing. Some outside of my knowing, meaning I don't know, I don't know how it happened. It just happened kind of thing. I don't know if I, you know, brought it into my life through some form of manifestation or if it's, you know, there's the divine. Obviously, I'm more on the divine side, but sure. You know, as. As I kind of look at the whole thing when I started looking at the mind specifically, I know how powerful the mind is, because, you know, part of my story of, you know, going from where I'm at to where I'm at today is just doing nothing more than changing this noodle up here and trying to figure out how to do it. How are. What's the easiest way or the most practical way for someone to get immediate traction if they've maybe been stuck in that mental rut, to kind of get them out of the mental rut to the next stage?
Yeah. I think the first thing that people can do is just. If you're in a mental rut, believe it or not, the first thing I'm going to tell you to do is not do anything with your mind.
Okay.
First thing I would tell you to do is do 25 jumping jacks.
Okay.
Because the first thing you got to realize is that if you're in a mental rut, you got to change the body. You got to move the body you got to get oxygen into the system. You got to get oxygen flowing into your bloodstream. You got to get that physical state. You can't think your way out of the same state you're in. Einstein said you can't create a solution. The same level of consciousness in which it's created. Your frequency in that state is literally the same state that's stuck. So you want to change that. First thing. So I'd tell you the first thing to do is get up and do 25 jumping jacks or push ups. Just move instantaneously. Second thing I would tell you to do is say, you know what? Next thing I would do is tell you to take five minutes of deep breaths.
Okay?
You can't take five minutes of deep breaths and have the same feeling inside of your system. It's not. It's not possible. You need oxygen. That oxygen is going to wake your cells up. Yeah. Third thing I would tell you to do is go have a kale salad.
Kale salad. Is that for alcohol? Sorry, Is that for alkalinity?
No, it's because 94. 90 to 94, depending on the literature. 90 to 94 of the serotonin, the feel good hormone, is made in your stomach.
Interesting. All right, so now, now you guys know why I personally follow this dude, right? Seriously, like, you need to be checking this guy out.
94 of the serotonin is made in the stomach. That's the feel good neurotransmitter. So we sit and say we have a mental health disorder in this world. And I'm telling you right now, and I've quoted all over to say we don't. Yeah, we don't have a mental health disorder. What we have is a health disorder because people are eating crap in their stomach. They're putting sugars and diets and alcohols.
Yeah. Stuff that creates all kinds of inflammation.
Inflammation. The stomach doesn't produce a neurotransmitter. You feel like garbage. Your life goes downhill. That's what in essence happens. Then let's start talking, rewiring. Let's put the right things in the physical system, get the body to think. Then I would sit and say, go have some. Maybe a salmon kale salad would be good to get the right fats for the brain.
I actually dig that. I like salmon.
So it's good for the brain. So then let's go talk about the brain. Now when you're starting to rewire, the first thing I would tell you to do is just start looking and just start counting your gratitude. Just start counting 50 gratitudes to start the process.
Okay.
So if you're down and out and you're looking at saying, okay, I got to change my life, I don't know where to begin. Those are five steps to begin. And just start there because yes, this, this rabbit hole can go very, very deep. We can go super deep and to figure it out, but not everyone needs to go down that rabbit hole.
Yeah.
If you want to, sure. I'm happy to. I love doing it. But for the everyday person that's trying to live a better life, start there. Start with counting your gratitudes.
Then let's talk about kind of the, the next steps from there.
That, yeah, no, that's awesome. I, it's great feedback. So I love the, I love the tactical, the practical. Right. I've had some, you know, wonderful guests on the show and wonderful thought leaders in their own right. But sometimes we have a hard time drilling down to the. You had mentioned earlier, we first started talking, you know, hey, look, here's, here's the, here's the 30, 000 foot view. Go do that. And you're like, well, how do I get on the airplane? Like, right. You know, kind of thing. And that's why I was so glad, so grateful that you're willing to break some of that down. When, when it comes to your physiology, obviously driving your biolo, if you know, is it, is it strictly diet and exercise? Does, does rest and sleep and something like those elements also play a role into your overall health and kind of get into the right space.
So let me. Can I, can I get a little geeky with you guys?
Just. Yeah, let's go geeky.
Okay, so let's go there. So there's two parts of the nervous system and, and it's basic. But you guys, you have to understand it so that you understand why they both make sense. You have the parasympathetic nervous system, which is really the rest of the, and relaxation side, and you have the sympathetic nervous system. And that's the basically fight or flight mechanism. Right? Everyone's heard of these at some level. Rest and digest is, hey, look, I'm on vacation. I feel great. I'm burned out. Cool.
The fight or flight is, I'm highly stressed, I got lots going on. And the world is going to take saber tooth tiger in the building type story, right? Both are in there. But today's world, we don't have the saber tooth tiger and we don't have a lack of food. What we have is social stresses, stresses of acceptance, stresses of approval. Stresses of bills, stresses of, of constant dopamine. And these two levels of stresses are going back and forth in our brain.
Yeah.
So we don't have hyper stress events so much in our world. We do, of course, everyone does. We have more chronic low grade stress events. Okay. Now why that's important for me to explain that first is this is during the day. Your sympathetic is on and it's working. The cortisol's up. Cortisol. People give cortisol a bad rap and say cortisol is bad for you, it makes you gain weight. No. Cortisol is needed in your body to be able to take on the tackle and challenges of the day. It's normal hormone, it's good for you, it's healthy. Yeah. At night. At night you have the parasympathetic nervous system kick in and at night the body is supposed to rest and relax inside that. So if you want to have a great day tomorrow, you worry about it the night before your preparation for the day tomorrow. Right. Yeah. And so rest and recovery are essential so that you get the full recovery for your body to get up and go do work inside that state. Studies show that an individual who doesn't sleep well is really on, on the path of cortisol issues, insulin dependence, diabetes and. Diabetes and brain issues, Alzheimer's issues. Because Alzheimer's is technically type 3 diabetes. People don't realize that. Wow. Yeah. It's brain sugars in the brain. So the more sugars you're putting in the system and not getting the rest that you need to recover from the day of stress. You break your body down. People think you know the grind it out, work harder, you know, stay up and stay up till 2 in the morning and wake up at 4 and then if you want it bad enough, you'll do.
Maybe when I was a young man.
Yeah. I mean, but in reality that's not sustainable. Yeah, it's not sustainable. So yeah, rest recovery is essential for the body to work optimally.
Yeah, no, that's good. That's so good. Well, let's talk like, let's talk about impeding that rest because you know, the, if a lot of it starts with the, the biology drives the, the brain work and the brain work obviously that drives behaviors ultimately long term. If it seems like if the rest and regeneration part is so important, then we need to pay closer attention. You mentioned earlier about having the plan kind of before you're supposed to kind of rest and go to bed. At least for me for a long time. I used to consume all kinds of media just before bed. Right. And then I would. And that would take me an extra hour to fall asleep. Sure, maybe I'm. Maybe I'm dreaming about the Spartans I just saw fighting on TV or whatever. But talk to us about what's going on in the brain and what's impeding our. Our rest profile in that moment.
I'll tell you that I could talk about this stuff for, like, the next three days. Like, you are walking down. You were walking down, like my. My. My favorite wheelhouse. So at night, we. When we look at our devices, our phones, we trigger these light receptors in our brain. And these light receptors are, if you recall, I said, sympathetic. And sympathetic. It releases cortisol. So it wakes you up. So it says, hey, there's light outside. There's light coming in. That means it's time to wake up, not go to sleep. And so what we do when we're on our devices at night is we're turning the brain on, and the neurochemicals inside, the light receptors inside that are saying, hey, I'm awake. The sympathetic nervous system kicks in and says, oh, okay, let's release cortisol into the bloodstream, which increases your heart rate. Let's raise the cortisol, which is going to increase your blood sugar. Ready to go do something in your. That's why you don't fall asleep. So you lay there, you put your phone down and be like, oh, I can't sleep. My brain just stops. Won't stop thinking. Yeah, that's why it's happening.
And then you get up and get on your computer and make it worse.
And then you make it worse. Like, I can't sleep. I might as well have to be productive.
I used to lie to myself for that very same lie.
Yeah, it's better, actually, to close your eyes and breathe. And if you really want to do that, what you do is you breathe in for a short breath for three, and you breathe out for seven. Because what you're going to actually do is activate the other side of your nervous system, which is parasympathetic. And it's going to calm down all that cortisol and all that so that you can actually fall asleep.
Wow. See, it's crazy that it's almost like we're trained to overcomplicate things, because it's like if it's overcomplicated, we can excuse ourselves from what we know we need to be doing.
I think so. I think the more information we get, the more information we want to get. Right. Rather Than let's. Nature is. Nature in its own right. Is so beautiful. Right. Like there's no question. Right. You live in North Carolina? I'm more in the city. Well, I'm in the burbs of Chicago, but city of Miami and. But either way, like all that light pollution that we get, and I don't know your area if there's a lot of light pollution or. Not necessarily, but all that light stimulates our body. But if you go into the woods and you go camping, I mean, those are the best night to sleep you'll have because you're with the energy and the, and the, you know, the electromagnetic energy of the earth and that regulates the system completely.
Well, let's talk about electromagnetic energy because a little bit. Because I've been, I've been told that we as human beings exude our own certain amount of electromagnetic energy. Well, electromagnetic magnetic energy or, or some level where they, they've done. I forgot the name of the science, but where they could literally do a light profile on you somehow and you always have like a quarter inch of what looks like a light beam around you, right?
Yeah. They would call it auras, you know, the mystics would call it the auras and that. Yeah, sure.
So is there science to back that up? Am I hearing that correctly?
Yeah, 100. And there's, there's a lot of science that backs it up, actually. You know, there's. Now, I've been doing this for about seven, eight years, but now people are, Are diving into these PEMF mats, if you've heard of those. And what they do, it's called pulse electromagnetic frequency. And what that does is that it balances your energy to the energy of the earth. And it's kind of this pulsating energy to reorganize your, your body, your nervous system, your, Your cells. And it's a truly healing mechanism. It's. It's super valuable. I use mine pretty much every day, especially if I'm home for sure. I use it pretty much every day. And what it does, it re. Governs the entire energy system of the body. And so, yeah, the electromagnetic. Electromagnetic energy is completely real inside that, you know, and, and some people will see it. They can see like those auras and colors and things like that. And there's even photonics around there. Pictures or, excuse me, cameras that will take pictures that will show the aura of a person around them.
Yeah, no, that's pretty profound. And the reason I think that is there's been a lot of talk, especially the last five or Six years about raising your vibration, becoming more magnetic to the things that you want to bring into your life and things of that nature. And, you know, for the longest time, it sounded kind of frou to me. I'm just being honest. Sure. And then I started looking at the science, or starting, you know, getting doses of science, I should say. It's not something I'm able to spend a lot of time in, unfortunately, but someday I hope to. But as I'm digging into this, I start. I start seeing. Well, if there's electromagnetic frequency within the body, it can be captured with science. There are color tones to it, which, you know, going back to the mystics, they, you know, my wife is one of those people that told me when she met me, she was your blue. I'm like, I'm what? She's like, you're blue?
I'm like, huh.
I know I'm short, but I'm not a Smurf.
Right, Right.
And, you know, we. We began talking through this a little bit, and then I go in and. And started doing a lot of auditory frequency music for me during my times of meditation or relaxation or whatever with different, you know, and going through delta and beta and, like, going up. But as I'm going through that, I find myself feeling better at certain frequencies than I did before. You know, I popped the earbuds in and I sat there and I breathe. I breathed for a little while. You know, I typically do a sensory dip. Sensory removal. I take, you know, I, you know, I covering on.
And I've discovered that there is an element of that that seems to be real from a. From a magnetic attraction perspective of more opportunities, because I'm putting more focus in making sure that I'm the best version of myself. I may be talking in circles, but I'm trying to articulate what I think is happening, knowing that you could probably help me break it down.
Yeah. So you're. You're. You're talking about what some would say, like the. The frequency of vibration to create and manifest. Right. That's really what it's coming down to. And there is. Right. We can do it psychologically. Now. Technology is allowing us to use different frequencies to create, you know, gamma states and alpha states and theta states, and also that for healing. Completely for healing. And the interesting thing is, is that when you allow the nervous system to be in balance and you rewire the brain, you're actually creating the same type of energy to help you create, to help you heal the system.
Wow.
And so we're in the process of working on doing studies around this. We're not there yet right now. We're just. I'm having too much fun with the lab work right now. But, but we. In essence, you're. When you heal the brain and you rewire the brain, you're taking yourself to a theta state, an alpha state, and so that you can actually heal and create from that. So. But now we have technology that will help us get there, manufacture that space as well. And that's why there's people who are doing great work and helping people heal, using meditation in that capacity as well. However, meditation in that people aren't going to like me. I'm going to get a lot of hate mail when I say this is. For some people, it's an escapism.
Versus an integration of their world. Right. If it's used as escaping, which a lot of people do, like, I just need to meditate because I'm so stressed out, then you don't heal anything. Then you're just calming yourself down to rile yourself back up.
Right. But if you're using it as an integrative meditation where you're using it to heal kind of what's going on in your life and learn from it and assess from it and take the lessons from it, that's a different meditation. Yeah, completely. But, yes, it is. All of that comes together to help create more opportunity. Absolutely.
Now, I'm curious on this. This differences between integrated meditation versus the other is when you're going for escapism is do you think there's an element of feeding yourself a dopamine hit like you're. Because you're going there to. Okay, yeah, I figured that would kind of be like the thing, because if. If your Instagram is your dopamine hit or your Twitter is your dopamine hit, or you're seeing your significant others your dopamine hit, or, you know, for me, I just enjoy what I do. So work might actually be a dopamine hit for me, which can be.
And dopamine's not bad. Sometimes people would say, well, dopamine, then that's the bad thing. No, no, no, no. You need dopamine. You want dopamine. It's the excessive dopamine that becomes a problem. That. It's that fourth, fifth, sixth cupcake that becomes a problem with dopamine. Yeah.
All right, well, let's. We have a ton of entrepreneurs that consume our content, mainly early stage aspiring, maybe even some of the entrepreneur category. They're looking for a bit of acceleration. They're Looking for kind of the next level. How was your work? Because I know this about you, but how does. How is your work played into business owners and entrepreneurs who are at. At their core, creators, right? They create nothing. You know, something from nothing.
It's huge, right? Like, because your business will never outgrow the psychology of the leader, ever, ever, ever, ever. And if you're stuck in an emotional pattern around your business, no matter how hard you work, you're going to stay stuck at that level no matter what. Or for new entrepreneurs, you want to make sure that your business is set up and your psychology as a leader is set up for that because you'll never grow the psychology of the leader and an individual that is working on their psychology is ready to lead others inside that. Now, when you're stuck in an old pattern, an old nervous system, an old frightened state, a scared state, that's probably where you are as a new entrepreneur. You're scared out of your mind, but you have all the gust and vigor saying, look, I'm going to do it. I'm going to go be an entrepreneur. It's going to be the greatest thing ever said everybody else who also failed. That's reality. That's reality. Right? But if you can govern your thinking and get over your stuff and not get caught up inside of it and heal yourself and then learn the strategy. Strategy is important, but strategy will never trump consciousness. It can't. Consciousness is more important than strategy because you can do all the strategies, same strategy, and Steven and I can. Steve, we can do the same strategies, same demographics, same people, same locations. It won't matter. But he's going to attract a different person into his life, and I'm going to attract a different person into my life, all relative to the people that we are, so that we have to work on ourselves.
Yeah.
So I like to sit and say this. As new entrepreneurs, you get a great opportunity to bring in customers that you get to serve and help and heal their life. But they're also the greatest teachers for you to help you heal yours. That's why it's so important.
That's so good. That is so good. Say that one more time. That was good.
You, as an entrepreneur, get the opportunity to serve and help and heal others, but you also get the opportunity, your customers are going to come back into your life to help you heal yourself, learn to love yourself at a greater level.
Man, that's good. And that includes, I assume that's the one that includes the ones that challenge you, Right? The ones that challenge you. To like. I'm thinking about all the major shifts that I've had in my life. I'm a pretty stubborn individual by nature. The good side of that is that resilience has carried me far and helped me go through a lot of different things. The negative side of that scenario is I don't always hear the thing I need to hear the first time. In fact, it's normally a four by four upside the head. Figuratively and metaphorically. Is it safe to say that the people that we draw into our lives are there to elevate us or challenge us past an a certain limitation?
100% right. I like to say that service is the currency of the universe. And so every person is there to make you, is to serve you. They're not there to reject you. They're not there to. They're there to teach you a lesson. If you can learn the lesson and learn what they're trying to teach you, you can evolve and transcend it. But if you stay stuck in it, then you're going to stay stuck at that level. It's like it's. I use money as a good barometer. It's just a good barometer to, to measure. Let's make say you're a new stage entrepreneur and you want to make $10,000 a month. But by the time you make $10,000 a month, you get a customer that comes in that really gets under your skin and they start aggravating you like I'm not going to do this for them. Forget it. This and that. You hold on to that resentment and you hold on to that resentment. Chances are you'll stay stuck around that 10 to $15,000 mark.
Yeah.
Stay stuck there. You won't bust through the bust it open. Because if you have an association built in your brain around money and that and customers, that's resentment. You'll resist making more money because why would you bring something into your life that you resent and resist?
Yeah.
That's why I say that whatever you resent, you'll resist. Yeah. And if you have, and if you have guilt and shame holding on to your life and that guilt and shame is keeping you stuck, then what will happen is that you'll stay stuck in that level no matter what.
Yeah.
But the bigger part is you'll give away your wealth.
Because guilt causes you to give money away because you won't have self value inside of it. So I like to say that your self worth is 100% equivalent to your net worth. Self worth and net worth go hand in Hand one without the other. It's an imbalanced equation.
Yeah. Geez, man. Now you know why I love you too much. Love you so much.
Thanks, man. I appreciate it.
Well, look, dude, I've got one more question for you before we head out, and that is, if I want to work with you and I want to do more with you, what is the easiest way, the next step, for me to kind of get to know you and learn more about what you're about and then maybe take the next step.
I have a different response to that question. Okay. Before you get to know me, I would rather you get to know you. So I've designed a questionnaire, a quiz. It's called your Rewire score, and it tells you what part of the brain you actually use, how you think, how you make decisions. Are you functioning from a state where you're living and making money decisions from a have to state, what I call complete necessity from the amygdala, or are you making it from the prefrontal cortex where you're making it objectively thinking, and you get to live a life that you completely, 100% love. And there's gradients in between that. So there's a questionnaire that I have in a process. You can just go that and learn through that for yourself. It's called just go to rewirescore.com. it's rewirescore.com and you can do. Do that for yourself, learn about it. And then if you want to take the next steps from there, you can get on a call with someone on my team, or you can just go to my website, Dr. Rewater.com, or any social handle that there is. Dr. Rewire.
Dude, man, you're amazing, man. Thank you so much for hanging out with me today. I seriously thank you, man.
Thanks for having me. This is so much fun. We got to do this more often.
Oh, you got it, man. You got it. All all hands down deck. Let's go.
Let's go.
All right, brother. Take it easy. Have a good one.
Thank you, man.
I hope you liked that video. And if you did, make sure you check out this next video right here.
There's something else that's more important than all of that, and it's not the bucket list, and it's not your bank account. It's not the car you drive. It's not even your career choice. Research shows that the number one regret at the end of your life is not having the courage to live true to yourself.
