The truth about ego is nothing more than edging God out. Wayne Dyer said that a number of years ago before he passed away, and I believe it's absolutely true. When you are focused on just impressing other people with stuff and things and all kinds of whatnot, you are going to always end up empty. What I want you to do, instead of focusing on your ego or somehow embellishing your ego is actually drive the heart of service. Become a person of value, become a person of service, become a person of impact. Because then what happens is all the thank yous and all the accolades that come with it become a choice to help you grow and mature, rather than a tool to help you be self destructive and feel like you have to do more and more and more and more. Because the reality is it doesn't matter how successful you go, it doesn't matter if you go from a thousand dollars to a billion dollars, the stuff is not going to actually make a difference when it comes down to how you're actually relating and helping other people on a regular basis. They always say that people never remember the things that you did. They remember how you made them feel.
