A short motivational YouTube excerpt (Stephen Scoggins) urging listeners to view life as a series of small experiments rather than a binary of success/failure. The speaker advises asking 'What did I learn?' after setbacks to capture learning and joy, and mentions a related idea from a book by 'Jay' as part of this perspective shift.

See life as a set of little experiments. So many times we try something and it doesn't work. Or maybe we try something and it downright fails. Like, it's like the living illustration of a failure. Maybe it's a business, maybe it's a relationship. Maybe it's something that you've done with your kids. At any rate, when you look at things through the lens of failure and success, I think we miss valuable assets. We miss the learning. We miss the joy that comes with the learning. And one of the things that Jay mentions in that book specifically is this idea of just instead of looking at things through success and failure, look at it as a little experiment. So when you have something that doesn't work out, say, okay, that was a cool experiment. What did I learn? Not, oh, my gosh, it failed. I'm worthless. I'm insignificant. No one's going to care. Do you see what I'm saying? It's a total perspective shift. It's a total new way of empowering yourself and inspiring yourself on a consistent, regular basis.
