Reprogram Your Mind For POSITIVE THINKING Today

Stephen Scoggins argues that pain becomes wisdom when you face it with passion and faith. Stop letting past hurt run your life. Take baby steps, build confidence, and let experience teach you instead of trap you.

One of the most destructive things that can hold you back in life and calls you from actually getting where you need to be is letting your pain rule your present. Stay tuned to find out more.
As I travel around the country and actually speak to more and more people, one of the things in which I've discovered that helps people really stay stuck and discouraged with their lives is actually due to the fear and pain that they've experienced in their, well, previous time on earth. In reality, they fear pain and they freeze in place, or they fear pain and they run and hide. Either of those are not going to help you move forward. And like myself, who's experienced a lot of pain on the front end of my life, I had to learn how to believe that my pain was going to lead me to something greater and was going to be simply be a stepping stone to allow me to overcome my hurts, my habits and my hangups and actually teach me something that I could actually use in my life. The reality is all adversity, all pain, all frustration, all everything that you go through can teach you something about moving forward. And that moving forward can actually come in the form of experience based wisdom. If you think about it right now, for example, I'm talking to you right now, okay. I'm able to create a video based on the pain and the experience that I've understood, that I've went through, that I've suffered through. And the lessons and the wisdom of those experiences now become the tools I can use for someone like you and your success. The truth is, when you're younger, you have less control over your overall situations, environments and things of that nature. However, once you begin to reach your late teens and beyond that, you actually begin to have more and more decision making power on what experiences and what things you let in your life and what you keep out of your life. And you've actually got the freedom to choose about whether or not you're going to let something define you or whether or not you're going to let something propel you. You see, pain, when utilized properly, does nothing more than actually teach us progress based behaviors. We know what we don't want to have happen again and therefore it gives us a lesson on how we can use that same information to move us towards where we need to be. So what's the trick behind moving forward past the pain? Whether it's an experience based pain or that that pain is completely based in fear alone. It's simple passion. Passion always trumps pain, like faith always trumps fear. You're where you want to go has to be stronger than where you've already been. And you have to let go of where you've already been. You take the good from it and keep it. You take the bad from it and toss it in the garbage. You've got to have the confidence that every single pain that you experience will one day equal a prize that far outweighs the previous pain. I can tell you from personal experience, if you adopt this principle, then you will actually experience it just that way, just as I have. It's not about the pain that you've experienced as much as it is about the progress that can come out of the experience, but only if you face it rather than trying to avoid it altogether. You have to face this stuff head on. And when you do, you'll never have to face it again. So each time you take those baby steps of faith and resilience, you will grow stronger in your confidence and the anchor will become deeper and deeper within of potential rather than pain. That's what makes a warrior a warrior. A warrior takes what they fear most and stares it in the eye and picks up their sword. Look, I want to share this quick story. It's something that I actually saw as a meme, but I really, really liked it. And here's how it goes. The devil saw me on my knees with my head hung low, leaning over my sword, and he thought he had me licked. And then he heard me say amen and I looked up and picked up my sword. What is going on in your life that you can face head on? What perspective that can you gain that can give you the power to look straight in the eyes, use passion and overcome it once and for all. You are stronger than you think, you're worth more than you think, and you are capable of getting out of your own way and moving forward. I'm not taking for granted that some pains may take you to your knees. What I'm saying is you don't have to stay there no matter what it is. So get up, say amen, pick up your sword and keep it moving forward. You'll be surprised at how far you can go with all the things that you do when you use the passion to overcome your pain.
