Steve D Valentine explains his approach to sharing knowledge: he freely publishes extensive teaching and resources (YouTube, website) but charges for personalized, time-consuming coaching. He advises entrepreneurs/agents to use free resources, self-practice (be their own client), and invest if they want a fast-tracked, individualized coaching experience.

I give out free information all the time. All the time. And when somebody calls and says, hey, will you coach me through, it's like, hey, if you showed up to my classes, I would be more than happy to take this call. But you don't get to spend an hour of my time when I've given a thousand hours of teaching and coaching. It's on YouTube, it's on my website. It's all there, right? So that's an equal exchange. If you want me to give you the fast track to how to do this, you're going to have to pay for it. You're going to have to invest in that fast track in order to do that. Most people, there's two things. If you don't have the money, there's free shit online. I do it every week, all the time. Fine. It. Start it. You start figuring out. You start asking yourself questions, right? That's what I saw. I first saw my dad's business and I questioned everything, right? Why is he doing that? Right? So somebody look at my business and question why I'm doing it, how I'm doing it, and then figure that out, Right? The other thing, too, they're not willing to practice. Very few agents that I know are willing to be their own client when they should absolutely be their number one client.
