He warns that agents can become complacent, and that as they gain experience and need less support, they should assess whether brokerage fees and services still justify the return on investment and consider changing if not.

A lot of agents go in and they get sold on this. Not, I don't want to say Kool Aid. We get very complacent and very comfortable where we're at. We don't like change and we don't look at what we're investing in and what the return is in for that company. So when you get to that point there in your career where I don't need as much support, I do need to look at what I'm paying into and what the background of that company and things is. So I do think that that's a very relevant conversation where you're at being new because there is going to be a time you're like, hey, I've learned what I needed to do and I think brokerages are very aware of that. Obviously always want to keep us in. But there's going to come a time and space where the value isn't worth the return on investment and something's going to change.
