If this happened to me, I would be literally so embarrassed. I'm not naming names. I don't know the designer, but one of my brand clients actually reached out to me a couple weeks ago feeling really skeptical about what their website designer was putting them through in terms of process and how they were building out their homepage Specifically. I'm going to tell you what she said because it's absolutely wild to me. But first, I want to explain something like, I don't think people understand that web designers are very different. And there's a difference between web designers who work aesthetically and web designers who work str strategically. And I know the word strategic is tossed out there a lot. So the way I define strategic website design is by always keeping the user in mind, you can create a pretty website and it can be ass experience for the user. And when you have an ass experience for your user, they leave your site. They don't check out, they don't book with you, they don't fill out your form. Obviously, as business owners, we want our website to do things for us. We want it to make us sales, we want it to get us leads, we want it to improve our overall online presence and build authority. Just having visual.
