Christina Hall says most websites fail because they don't clearly explain what the business does or who it helps. Your site needs to state what you do, who you serve, how you help them, and what they should do next. She offers a template and workbook to help you write clearer copy.

This is the biggest mistake I see people making on their websites that they build themselves. Whether they built it from scratch or they use one of the templates that came free with their online platform, they set up their website as if the people visiting know what they do already. How are they supposed to know what you do? That's what your website supposed to tell them. This is exactly why I made my Harper template and why it comes with a free killer sales page copy workbook specifically designed to help you fill out every text section inside that template. What it does and what you should be doing on your website is speaking to one person and being exceed exceedingly clear about what it is you do, who you help and what you do to help them and then how they can get in touch with you or move forward to the next step. Stop trying to sound smart or catchy or extra intelligent. If I read one more headline that says something like changing the way you do XYZ differently, I will literally lose my mind. Tell people what you do and if you don't know how to do that, just go grab my template. It will walk you through everything.
