How to make a logo in canva! #canva #logos #branding

I'm a brand designer and if I was going to make a logo in Canva, this is exactly how I would do it. Full disclosure, I would never make a client logo in Canva, but if I had to do it, this is how I would do it. I would go outside of Canva and find a typeface that I could license to my business in order to use as a logo. I would do this because less people are doing that by going in Canva, most people are just typing up templates and finding the first ones to pop up. By finding a typeface that's not available in Canva, I'm already setting myself worlds apart from everyone else using I would download the freebie that's linked in my profile and find my brand personality from it and look at suggested colors and brand personalities so that I could come across as more authentic brands. I would also use it to develop certain adjectives that my brand personality is going to have so that I can design to keep those adjectives in mind. I would research my target audience who is most going to benefit from what I offer. I would find out what styles they're normally attracted to or what styles usually emulate the personality that I'm supposed to be emulating to them. I would use all of this research to inform my decisions with the typefaces I use for headlines, body text, etc. As well as the design style that I'm going to use to design my logo. I would create multiple versions of my logos, make sure that they can fit in multiple instances and in multiple assets like words.
