Why are all the targets turning brown? Like there's no more bright red in their branding?
I love when I know the answer to questions like this. Why is Target turning brown? I'm going to tell you why. But first I want to talk about something else she mentioned in the original video, which is that Target started introducing a new teal color. And I want to touch that first before I talk about why Target's turning brown. The original creator said she noticed not only a lot of red being removed from the buildings, but a lot of teal being introduced on the website and an email. Let me show you why they've done this. I went through historical emails to see when they started making this introduction of this new teal color. Whether you get Target emails or at least have seen one, you know that they use colors very strategically. They use associated colors based on the category they're referencing within the email, but they maintain speckling in the target red. They actually tell you why they've added the teal back in March of 2024, which is when they introduced the new Target circle to their email list. They've added in some different hues of teal and as well as a purple. So the teal is not for Target, it's for their sub brand Target Circle. It's essentially a sub program to help people save and this color usage is going to help people.
