A short video segment by Christina Hall critiquing Emma Hernan’s website design and user experience. Hall argues the site shows inconsistent branding (red theme vs product green/orange packaging), uses a generic logo/font, outdated holiday graphics, spinning decorative elements, and an intrusive image slider that disrupts reading.

Let's roast the shit out of Emma Hernan's website. First thing I want to point out is that she actually paid someone to make this when she probably could have populated a template herself in five minutes, because that's all that it looks like was done here. I want to talk about the fact that her website theme seems to have a red theme going on with it, whereas the fact that she has what I deem to be completely non existent branding, because all of her branding is a logo with a repeatable free Google font. But most of her packaging is. Let me see if I can move myself out of the way. Most of her packaging with her product is green with an orange color. So by having so much red at the very top of her website when you first visited, it's already breaking brand trust and consistency. But she also has like these spinning snowflakes on either side, which makes it feel very Christmassy. But perhaps that's because she has a Happy Holidays picture up and maybe she hasn't updated the site in months. Another thing that bothers me is she has a slider. It's sliding between all these different images I've shown you so far. These cause constant disruption in the visitor's experience if they are trying to read something on.
