Short YouTube monologue by Christina Hall arguing that high-quality products/services alone don't win customers; businesses must use brand strategy and brand design to communicate differentiation to target audiences. If you know that you provide a quality product or service that might even be better than your competition, and yet your competition's making more money, getting more sales, doing way better than you, the problem is obviously not that they have better services and product. The problem is that you are relying on your services and products to convince people that they need your services and product. If you don't know how to speak to your target audience in a manner that helps them understand that they need your products and services only over everyone else's, and why they need them over everyone else's, you're never going to convince anyone to choose you over your competition. And more often than not, I see that people's competition, even when they're not as good at them as, you know, their product or service, they have better brand design. It makes them look like they're the better person. You need to visually stand out and also stand out in the way you're speaking to your customers and help them understand why you're different and help them see you as different and better. You do this through brand strategy and brand design. And brand designers who design without strategy are not helping you at all because they can't possibly, possibly be designing with your target audience.
