A short YouTube video by Christina Hall about her preferred collaborative brand-design process. In this excerpt she recounts a client story where a designer delivered a non-collaborative, one-shot brand without ongoing communication; Hall contrasts that with her own rule that she only takes clients after a conversation (personality fit), while keeping package/pricing information public on her site.

If you've ever worked with a designer before, I need to know if you have had this experience. I was speaking with a client yesterday and they said they had this exact experience. And I knew it was around, but I didn't know people still did it. Their experience was essentially they talked with their designer about getting a new brand design, and they essentially told them what they wanted, what they were thinking. The designer was like, great, I'll create that. Didn't speak to them for four weeks and then delivered a final product, and we're like, money now. Do designers still do that? Like, do they still have a design process that is not collaborative at all? Because my jaw was on the floor that this company had still worked with someone like that. Because my process is we do not work together unless we've spoken before, which means if you want to work with me, you have to get on a call with me. Because I hire people and let people hire me on personality fits. Now, that does not mean I gatekeep what my packages are or what my prices are. Those are all on my website. But I do have a little bit more insight.
