In this video, the speaker, a parent, expresses deep concern over the prevalence of school shootings and links them to unaddressed bullying and emotional wounds in children. Opening with a biblical reference (Mark 7:20‑23) that frames evil as stemming from a wounded heart, the speaker argues that society’s failure to recognize and treat these wounds enables violent outcomes. The core of the talk outlines three major warning signs that a child may be a bully: (1) lack of empathy, often rooted in emotional suppression; (2) a history of being bullied themselves, which can fuel retaliation; and (3) overt aggression, including physical and verbal hostility. Personal anecdotes about the speaker’s own daughter illustrate how schools often ignore bullying, prompting the speaker to advocate fiercely for better handling, including meeting with administrators, changing schools, or homeschooling. The speaker calls on parents to reflect honestly on their own emotional habits, seek professional mental‑health help, and become proactive advocates for their children’s emotional wellbeing. The video concludes with a typical YouTube call‑to‑action.

As a parent, it makes me very sad to see how many school shootings have been allowed. It's as if we don't care about our children. How can we continue to allow this to happen? One school shooting was one too many. PTSD. Today we will discuss a not so fun topic: school shooting and how not to raise a bully. Let's get into it. Mark 7:20-23 says, and he said, that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For From within, out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All of these evil things come from within and defile the man. Simply put, all evil comes from a wounded heart. As a parent, it makes me very sad to see how many school shootings have It's as if we don't care about our children. How can we continue to allow this to happen? One school shooting was one too many. When I go traveling, I have to take off my shoes, put them in a certain bin. I have to put pretty much everything in a different bin. I have to travel with 3 ounces or less of liquids, all sorts of other security measures because it took one tragedy, September the 11th, to put these security measures in place, and I'm glad to do that. I'm glad to take the extra security measures. I have zero problem allowing myself extra time in the airport to ensure that we all arrive safely. However, when it comes to school, no one seems to have a clue as to how to prevent this. Every time I read about a school shooting, the article makes mention that the shooter dealt with some sort of So you would think in order to stop the shootings, parents must learn to raise children who aren't bullies. However, people are so sensitive to the word bullies as it relates to children that no one wants to actually call it out. Parents don't or won't identify the signs of bullying in their child, and even if they do, they don't say anything about it. So something is horrible as school shootings continue to happen. So this is where we need to start. Learn to accept the small stings so that we're not facing big situations and enormous pains in the future. I believe if more parents are willing to look in the mirror and say, hey, we have a problem here and we need to deal with this, we can prevent so much of this in the future. So let's talk about the 3 major signs that your child may be a bully and how to deal with it. The first sign is a lack of empathy. Does your child laugh at the misfortune of someone else? Do they blame others for their misfortunes? Do they not care how someone else feels? This is a huge red flag because if they don't care how others feel, they are more prone to causing others harm without remorse. Usually children who lack empathy, it's because of a heart wound, emotional wound. Somewhere the child has been conditioned to ignore their feelings. So therefore, now they've ignored them so long they can't even identify with them. So if you are a parent and you're someone who don't like to talk about feelings, or say things like don't cry or suck it up or man up, repress feelings, suppress, push them down, cut them out or ignore and/or numb them, please stop that. You're passing this on to your children and the way it's showing up is a lack of empathy. And if anyone, not just children, but if anyone has a lack of empathy, they can do a lot of damage to a lot of people without remorse. Now the second one is a really big one. Have they ever been bullied in the past? This is huge. Because school shootings happen because someone was once bullied in school and nothing was done about it. So they want to retaliate. If your child tells you someone is bullying them, believe them. When my daughter was bullied, I had a hard time with the school because they just don't want to deal with it. And as it relates to school, school shootings are a major sign that the system is broken and it needs to be fixed. I don't know how many more tragedies has to happen Before the school system does a major overhaul. More parents are homeschooling, teachers leave in droves, and school shootings happen more frequently. Schools are ill-equipped to reduce bullying. The mission of the school needs to change. It needs to include the wellbeing of the whole child instead of just trying to get them to perform well enough to pass them along to get them through to college. I remember a time my daughter was fed up with the bully, so she hit them back. Of course, I was called to the The school once she hit them back. And I remember telling the principal, I find it interesting you call me when my daughter hit this person, yet what was done when my daughter kept being hit? She kept telling you and the teacher what was going on. What was done about it? Oh, just focus on your studies. Just ignore them. How do you ignore somebody who hits you? And so I advocated fiercely for her that the school needs to do a better job with handling bullying. And you as a parent, request meetings, get classes changed, even change schools if you need to. You may be saving your child's life and another child's life. Advocate fiercely. And the third sign is aggression. Does your child get physical a lot? Do they belittle, curse, spit, kick their friends out of the friend group? Again, a lot of this is emotional wounds. Emotional wounds are often more challenging than physical because they are not visible. It's what I consider the silent trauma. It's time for us as parents to stop sticking our heads in the sand and pay attention to what our children's emotions are telling us. I'm tired of seeing parents bury their children unnecessarily because parents are unwilling to take a long, hard look at the emotional health of their children.
