In this self‑help video, the speaker addresses the common feeling of being paralyzed by holiday expectations—traditions, family dynamics, gift‑giving pressures, and financial strain. She shares her personal experience of holiday overwhelm, noting how, as an Enneagram Type 2, her relationships and the expectations tied to them amplified her stress. Through reflection she identified that internal messages and unmet expectations were blocking joy. From this insight she has developed a method to combat holiday stress and set healthy boundaries, which she promises to share with viewers.

Tell me if this sounds familiar. It's November and the holidays are approaching, and you are already starting to feel paralyzed by the expectations that you have and those that others have. Traditions are hugely important to you. You want to create the most magical, joyful, wonderful experience for you and your family and your friends, and yet Year after year, you feel the pressure and stress and overwhelm of all the things to do. Or maybe this year you're feeling a bit more of the financial strain that many of us are feeling, and there is this set expectation within your family or amongst your friends about gift giving and who you give to and how many people you have to give to. And yet you're feeling like it's not okay to set boundaries around your gift giving because, well, isn't this the season of giving? If this is you, you're not alone. You see, I too have experienced this. A few years ago, I was really feeling irritable and sad and struggling during the holiday season, and I had to create time and space To reflect on what was going on. And really what it came down to was how I was experiencing the holidays was really affected by my expectations, expectations of how my traditions were playing out, expectations of family dynamics and relationship dynamics, and expectations of staying within financial boundaries. All these things were compounded and I was struggling with them. And as an Enneagram 2, one of the things about me is that my connections and my relationships hugely impact me. And because I was experiencing a lot of stress and I had expectations around my relationships, my interactions with people, and they weren't going as I had expected, it was causing a lot of inner turmoil. And I realized that my internal messages were keeping me from experiencing the wonder, the joy, and creating that magical experience that I had desired. So after having my own experience and struggle with expectations around holiday— the holidays, I have created a way to combat holiday stress, and I am ready to share it with you.
