These are from my generation, the greatest generation. You all remember in 1989, the best version of this movie came out. Little-known actor named Patrick Swayze. One of the best, best movies ever. Actually, it's not. It's a really bad movie. But it was— it's an iconic movie, right? Like, I made my kids watch it and they were like, Dad, this is horrible. So, but it's iconic. So the bar owner Recruited— I didn't know you had like a recruiting pipeline— but recruited this like expert world-renowned bouncer named Dalton, okay, who was Patrick Swayze, right? And Sam Elliott and Patrick Swayze, they go to the Midwest. And one of the best scenes in the movie is Patrick is giving his management philosophies to his team. Okay. So Patrick When he's given his like management philosophy to his bouncers, he says, I've only got 3 rules. Anybody remember his 3 rules? So his first one was always expect the unexpected. Like always expect the unexpected. Never assume you know what the other guy's going to do. Always expect the unexpected. I was like, alright, noted. Second thing was, was take it outside. He said never start a fight in the bar, always take it outside. And his third rule was the most thought-provoking. Do you remember what it was? Be nice. Be nice. And like, like, that makes sense for us in this setting, right? But you could imagine the look on his bouncer's face when he was like, be nice. What are you talking about? Like, is this Disney? Like, what, you know? And they're like, be nice. He was like, yeah. And they're like, well, what if the guy's like mean to us? And he's like, be nice. He's like, well, what if they like, you know, yell at us? He's like, be nice. He's like, what if we have to escort them outside? He was like, get some help, escort them outside and be nice, right? So, but my My, my whole idea around the leadership philosophy is this, is that be nice until it's time to be tough. Okay, so that's my leadership philosophy.
