This is simply being human.
Hey, how you doing today? Hope you're having an awesome day. What are you up to? Anything fun, exciting? That's cool, that's really cool. Yeah, just chilling. I like that. Catching up on stuff, I get that. I so get that. Well, thanks for joining me. I'm just out here taking a walk for a few minutes with my pup, and we're just kind of, uh, well, she is in hot pursuit of some rabbits that we just saw, and she was a force to be reckoned with right now. So bunnies are safe, hiding away safely. I don't think she would do anything to them. I think she just likes The chase of it all. That's actually a good point. Was it creative brain? Sometimes it's the chase of it all that is the exciting part, the part that gets us wired up and fired up, right? It's the part that we live for, the creating part, and the energy, the fire, the drive, the determination. I mean It's so exciting to be starting new projects and the creativity's flowing, right? And then we get to that part called the messy middle and we kind of get stuck and bored. And that's okay. I mean, after all, that's just part of simply being human, right? Well, as a creative brain, we have to figure out— for me, I gotta figure out how do I get through that boring, messy middle part? You know, how do I keep pushing to get that end product designed or finished? And it's a challenge sometimes, but you know what, it's doable. And I think that's where we have to go back to dig deep inside or to the beginning of a project and remember the why. Why did we start the project? What was the purpose? Who are we serving? What is the end result we're going to be creating? Because that, after all, isn't that why we started to create what we were creating, right? I mean, for me, whether it's architecture project, I'm serving someone, or, uh, something for the Inspired Life, I'm sketching, or a workshop, or building an app or website, it's always to serve someone, to help someone out. So I think for me, just coming back to the idea that we— that I— that I'm creating as an act of service. And that is sometimes the drive or the push I need to get to that boring, messy middle where we're stuck in the quagmire of quagmireness. Um, so anyway, As a creative, I'm sure you can relate. And as a human being, I'm sure you can relate. So when you're feeling that, that energy, that surge of excitement for the beginning of a project, then lose that momentum. You want to keep through and push through. Just go back to your why. Who are you building for? Who are you creating for? All right. Until we meet again, sketch boldly, live creatively, and embrace imperfection.
