Hey, hope you're having an awesome day. I'm out taking my walk after dinner. It is cloudy and drizzly, but you know what, I need exercise, so I'm out here walking. And, uh, let's do some bunny spotting. I wonder if we'll see any, any bunnies out tonight. So, oh, I see a deer. Yeah, there's a deer up ahead. All right, so we had a deer, deer sighting. Where there's one, there's usually more, but I don't see see any bunnies. Usually by now I would have seen at least one or two. And I hope you're having a good day today. Summer is flying by so fast. Less than a month before school starts. I can't believe it. It's crazy. It's been a busy summer, a good summer but busy. Uh, I'm thankful I've had some work this to do this summer, so no complaints. All right, where are the bunnies? I know they don't like to come out when it's raining, so it has been kind of drizzling on and off. I hope you're all having a good summer. Let me know, what have you been up to? Have you had a summer break? Have you just been working as usual? I'd love to know. When I, uh, started teaching 7 years ago, I was like, yes, I'll have summers off, don't have to work. That was so not true. First of all, I forgot I did not— you know, I don't get paid in the summer. From school, um, which is a misconception. A lot of people think maybe some places they do, I don't know, but I don't get paid for not teaching in the summer. Um, a lot of people, a lot of people think teachers are paid, you know, the whole year, so that's false. And that's okay. I'm just thankful I still have my architecture going as well, so can always keep busy, right? Yeah, I have no bunny sightings. I am like, there's nothing. All right, we'll see if my one friend down here Jason Nicholas saves the day. There's one that's usually consistent, usually consistent down here. See if he's, uh, hanging out. Down in the, uh, I call it— I call this Shrek's land. This is where Shrek lives in the, the bog here, the swamp, swampy area. Oh, where's my friend? I don't see him. Nope. Usually there's one hanging out back in here. Okay, it's a bunny-free walk so far. We'll head to Middle Earth, we'll go from there up to the Thinking Bench. Maybe we'll spot a bunny on one of those levels, and, um, then we'll head back home. So if you like this so far, give me a thumbs up. I would love that. Let's share this out there. I'm usually either walking and talking on this channel, um, mostly live streaming and sketching architecture. So if you're new to watching, my name is Jason Nicholas Nicholas. I am an architect. I'm also a high school teacher. I teach architecture and CAD. I like to think that is like a product design class. I love teaching so much. Now, yeah, on YouTube here, I like to kind of walk and talk sometimes. You know what, is there one up here? Did one pop out? Hmm, you know what, we're gonna do something different. Usually I would go up this way, but I think I see one out here. We're heading back the way we came in. Yeah, so I'll walk and talk, or you can find me sketching architecture. So definitely check it out if you like that kind of stuff. Hit that subscribe. We have some awesome, awesome people that watch in the live chat. Just a nice community, very positive vibes. Oh, I think I was, I was dreaming. All right, not a bunny. We'll go up the hill. Wishful thinking. I should have brought my lucky rabbit's foot. All right, we're going to head uphill, which is better than going downhill. I mean, like, literally going downhill. Um, all right, let's head up here. What's up, birdies? All right, welcome to Middle Earth. It is so overgrown here, it's crazy. Wow. Look how, look how tall the grasses are. If you've been watching me walk through here throughout the season, you'll see it's like really overgrown. It's crazy. Hmm, all right, no bunnies here. Let's head up to Thinking Bench and we'll probably wrap the stream up once we get up top. Flies are crazy though. Wow, flies are all over the place. All right, let's go up. Don't usually see any bunnies up here, but who knows. All right, cool. Look at that sky. Yikes. Hello, Bacon Bits. Thank you, it's good to see you. Thank you for saying hi. Don't forget that thumb— hit that thumbs up button, I would love that. This is a cool view. I really like this view from here. This, this looks really awesome in the fall. All right, that is the Thinking Tree and the Thinking Bench, and the mosquitoes are out. Well, if we were mosquito spotting, we would have probably 100 by now. But no bunnies, guys, no bunnies. What the heck? I love that view, LOL. Well, I'm glad you love that view. It is cool, especially in the fall. Like, I love fall and the leaves are changing and the colors are out. OMG, I think, I think I would pick fall as my favorite season. What's your favorite season? Let me know in the chat. I would definitely pick fall. A lot of dragonflies up here. I don't know if you see them buzzing around. Wow, lots of dragonflies. That's good, they're eating all the mosquitoes. Eat those mosquitoes, eat them up. Um, I love the kind of overgrown field here with these I forget what they're called. Dang, I forget what they're called, but I know— I think they use them for tea. I think they're called bergamot or bergamot. I forget the exact— bergamot, I don't remember. But these flowers are— I think they're used in tea. Alright, we have one more possibility for a bunny location, so we're gonna head to that one. It's straight ahead up there. Let's see if my buddy's up here. We gotta see at least one on this walk. Here, you can check out the, um, I subscribed. Well, thank you for subscribing, Bacon. I appreciate that. Thank you for subscribing. Love that. Again, I feel like these kinds of just informal walks and talks— sometimes I'm in the park, sometimes I'll do it in New York City, other random locations— but most of the time you'll find me online sketching architecture, which is I love doing. All right, let's check it out. Usually right up in this kind of clearing there. There's a bunny hanging out, but no luck. It's a bunny-free walk. That's crazy. All right, we're going to head back up the hill, then we'll go back down the hill. And, um, wrap up. But I do love this view also. I love being at the bottom of the hill and kind of looking up that pathway towards the Thinking Tree. Thank you for the thumbs up, I appreciate it. Alrighty then, here we go up The hill. All right, I did that just to get a little more, little, little more steps in, and then we'll head down the hill back towards Middle-earth. All right, so if you're keeping score at home tonight On our nature observation scorecard: mosquitoes 100, deer 1, bunnies 0. So mosquitoes 100, deer 1, bunnies 0. So that was kind of fun seeing the deer at the beginning of the stream. Very cool. Oh man, this is so overgrown. Which way we are going to cut through? This way, through the bee field here. There are bees in this field enjoying their flowers, and we'll cut through here. This is the highest I've ever seen the, um, the grasses growing here. I've been walking here for a few years. Looking back towards Middle-earth down there and back up the hill. All right, I think I'm going to wrap up. If you have any final questions or comments, let me know in the chat. I appreciate you watching, and this has been, uh, good exercise. It's always great to get out, get some fresh air, especially if you've been inside most of the day. I've been inside a good part of the day today doing some work. I love getting outdoors. It's just refreshing. And yeah, there you go, there you go. Now, thank you so much for watching. I appreciate it. Until next time, sketch boldly, live creatively, and embrace imperfection.
