Alright, how you doing? Just forgot to give some YouTube streaming a test here and see if it works with my setup. Haven't really done it. I think I've only done it once before, so let's just do Do some sketching. Hello, so if you're watching, let me know if you know what building I'm sketching. It's a famous New York City skyline. It's a, uh, What's the word I'm thinking of? An iconic building. It's definitely iconic for sure. Trying to do a, just a quick sketch. I'm not trying to capture all the details. Just want to get the shape and the form of the building. See if it's recognizable just by this know some of the characteristics. Hey, hello Pat, how are you? Happy Sunday afternoon to you. Hope things are well. Thanks for tuning in. I'm in skyscraper mode on this Sunday. Just trying to capture a A New York landmark. So if you think you know what it is, let me know. Good to see you. Trying out a YouTube stream as well, seeing how that works. I haven't really done a YouTube stream once before, so I just want to see if I have it all up and running and all the wires plugged in in the right place and the right settings on and all that fun stuff. So, uh, Yeah, hopefully it's working well. If you're watching this, be sure to hit the like button or even feel free to subscribe. That would be awesome. Once I hit 100 subscribers, I can change the name of my YouTube channel to The Expired Life. Right now it's just some kind of random crazy name they assign to it. You need to have a certain amount of subscribers before you can give it a custom name. So yeah, hopefully I'll get there one day. That would be really cool. This is fun. Feel free to ask me questions, say hello. Rainy afternoon in Brunswick, Georgia. I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it's not too cold for you. We were supposed to have some snow today, but I think it's gonna miss us. Monday into Tuesday is looking kind of messy with snow and ice and all that fun stuff. That's okay. If we have a snow day Tuesday, I can teach home virtually, which is awesome. I really am enjoying teaching from home. Virtually. I miss the kids in school, but it's cool to be home teaching as well. I have all my stuff here. It's kind of fun. Pop on camera and say hello. Oh, there I am. So yeah, hopefully the YouTube stream is working out okay and the signal is clear and all that fun stuff. Just, I was always trying different outlets and seeing other places I could stream to. Typically I do Facebook, which is awesome, but I want to see if I could do it on YouTube as well. 50 degrees in Brunswick, that's not too bad. I Actually, is that cold for Brunswick? I'm not sure. Have you ever had snow there? So I'm sketching and, um, painting with with graphite today. Ah, no snow, that is awesome. I used to love snow, but I have to say the older I get, the less I'm liking it. I always had a dream of retiring to Maine, Maybe as a summer location, but I don't think I could do it in the winters. Yeah, it's kind of— snow's wearing on me. We've had a lot of it this year. So I'm gonna be streaming for about 5 more minutes or so. Got some pork chops that I have to tend to. I can smell them cooking. lived in Kansas for 12 years and moved to Fort Lauderdale for 20 years. Moved north just over Florida line into Georgia. Awesome. I have, uh, some family members that moved from New Jersey down to the Georgia area, and they love it there. Absolutely love it for sure. If it snowed, do you guys— are you prepared? Like, if it ever did snow, for— with snowplows or salting or anything like that? I have to say, at least out here, when it does snow, they take really good care of cleaning the streets and all that, so pretty lucky. It's looking pretty good. Fun little piece. Oh, awesome. Okay, so you wouldn't have snow that far south. Gotcha. Flurries? There you go. That counts. Cool. I think I'm at a good stopping point with this for now. I'll let it dry and maybe I'll come back later and add a little more to it. Hopefully it captured kind of a loose, quick, sketchy kind of feel. I'm going to let it dry. So like I said, I just used graphite and some water. Couple paintbrushes, a water brush. You don't really need too many supplies when you're, you know, creating and drawing and sketching. Depends where you want to go with it, right? So I'll let this dry, and I'd like to maybe try a version of this, maybe with adding a tint of color or something. So maybe I'll do that at another time. But, uh, Pat, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the class last night with the shapes and putting them together. That's Awesome. Really, really cool. That's great feedback for me. I'm not used to, like, kind of teaching or giving instruction on how to do this stuff. A lot of it gets from here and just from doing it. So I'm glad you found some useful information. It was, you know, meant to be a quick intro just to get a little bit into my mindset of how I approach the doing architecture. I'll definitely be doing more. I might do another Facebook Live Saturday night. But I think, you know, one of my end goals is I'd love to really start making classes, you know, private classes where I could in detail, you know, go through this kind of information. So I'm working on something like that. It'd be cool. It was great seeing you there and everybody coming out to support the Facebook Live. It meant so much to me. Awesome stuff. Alright, well, I hear— I don't hear, but I smell pork chops going. I gotta check on them, make sure they're not burning. Thank you for watching, Pat. I appreciate it. Give me some feedback here on YouTube. Was the stream okay? The tech, did that seem to work? The sound? That'd be really awesome feedback, and I'd appreciate it. And also let me know, do you have a preference for Facebook livestreams or YouTube? I'm just used to doing Facebook, but maybe I'll try doing YouTube as well. Awesome. So thank you for tuning in. I had a great time. It's always fun to do some quick sketching. And yeah, I'll be back sometime soon. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. It is Valentine's Day, so Spread some love somehow, even if it means connecting with yourself and pampering yourself a little bit, right? But that's it for now. Thank you so much. Have a great night. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. And tomorrow's President's Day. Have a great President's Day if you're— I'm off, so that's great. I'll enjoy the day for sure. Catch up on some stuff. Take care, everybody. Peace. Live creatively. See you soon. Thank you.
