In this brief monologue, artist Jason Nicholas shares his experience of spending an entire day sketching outdoors in front of a museum rather than entering it. He explains that the brown kraft paper he uses as a sketching surface makes colors—especially those from colored pencils and Sharpie creative markers—stand out dramatically. Because the museum line was excessively long, he chose to stay outside, dedicating the day to drawing and finding the activity highly enjoyable.
