Hello, hope you're doing well. Thanks for coming along on a real quick, um, journey here. It's raining, as you can see in here. But that's okay, it's not gonna stop me. I'm under some cover in this nice little arcade space, and I'm gonna just do a quick sketch. So here's another plus for using Sharpies. It's raining. My paper is soggy. You might be able to tell here, it's got raindrops and stuff on it, but I'm still gonna keep sketching. I could go inside, that's probably the smart thing, but it's quiet out here. I like the sound of the rain. I'm just trying to capture this kind of triangle shape in the background really quick. My sketchbook is balancing on the edge of this rail. So sometimes when you're out sketching, you got to make the best of what's around, right? What kind of surfaces and things you have. And it's just fun. Like I said, I could, I could go inside, but I just like the sound of the rain out here. Hello, Nicole. Nicole, great to see you. Appreciate you watching. Yeah, I, I wish I lived here. I don't. I'm visiting. This is the Walt— I'm currently in the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and I'm looking at the Dolphin Hotel. Uh, it is an amazing, amazing place. We've been getting some wicked rain here this week, but I don't mind. I always find something to do. So here's my sitch. I mean, you can kind of see what I'm dealing with. So kind of balancing the sketchbook there, have the phone in one hand and sketching with the other. And it's fun, right? I'm just keeping it kind of quick, loose, just trying to capture what's here a little bit. I'm not going for precise detail at all. I'm just trying to capture a feeling. Feeling a moment in time. Got these kind of string lights happening kind of in the foreground, so let's just draw these little kind of circles and lines. Hey, thank you for the thumbs ups, I appreciate that. So I am safe. I'm undercover here. See the hotel doors behind me. This is a very nice kind of courtyard garden type of space. I'll come here, you can see more of it. I'll probably come back and add some color to this one. I'll go through— let's see, let me show you guys some of the other sketches I've Done. This one, I was actually— it was— I was outside and it started pouring, so that didn't get finished. Um, here's kind of a quick sketch I did earlier today, Disney Springs. But if I go back into here, we'll look at some of some other sketches. This is from Hollywood Studios. This is also from Hollywood Studios, the Tower of Terror ride. So this sketch was done really quickly. I love the way it came out, really loose, right? Which is the style, which is my style. I love real quick, loose kind of sketches. Here's more sketches of the dolphin and swan areas because it's my favorite area to be in and sketch. Um, here's actually one I did. Let me pull this one out. So here, this is actually kind of this space. Let's see if I can do this. We have that, and this is my take on it. Hey Dirk, great to see you. How are you? Dirk has a thunderstorm as well. I am currently in Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Florida. Not for much longer though, but it's been an incredible experience here and just out and about sketching in the rain. I'm gonna do some hatch lines on here just to give a little bit of depth. So just by adding these diagonal hatch lines, it creates a kind of a shadow line. Although if you look out here, it's kind of a gray day, but there you can see the shadow areas around those openings. So I just wanted to capture that quickly. Looks amazing. Yeah, this— it's a really amazing place. Um, I'll be putting together more videos about this place, and I'll show— I'll be doing a lot more sketches. So I've been doing field sketching or urban sketching here and doing other sketches as well back in the studio. So I kind of like this one. All right guys, I think that's a wrap for this video. Please make sure you hit the like or subscribe and/or subscribe. I'd love to get, uh, more of this out there. This is my passion. This is what I love doing, obviously, in all kinds of weather. And thank you for joining me and sketching along with me today. I'll probably pop back on at some point, but thank you so much. I appreciate it. Have an amazing, amazing day. Keep using your creativity for positivity. And remember, if you can scribble, you can sketch. Architecture. Stay tuned for more quick tips and all that fun stuff. Thank you so much, Dirk.
