A short solo YouTube livestream by Jason Nicholas (The INKspired Life) recorded in Spokane, Washington. While walking in a park he points out architectural/urban sketching tips—especially focusing on zooming into details (e.g., where bridge metal meets concrete, weathered/rusty metal) and intentionally limiting your view to make sketching manageable—and ends by promoting a free newsletter called "Ink Inspired Sketchnotes."

Hello, Jason here from the Ink Inspired Life. Hello from Spokane in Washington. Jason here from the Inspired Life. Just walking around this park. Before I head back, it might be cool to show you this bridge. I love the color, that kind of light blue color across here. One of the cool things I like to do when I'm out looking for stuff to sketch is looking at the details of buildings and structures. And I really like the details where the plant here. Sorry, right there. I just love the detail of where the bridge metal meets the the concrete pilaster there. I also love the rustiness, the weather metal. Sometimes I'll just focus in and zero in on some of the details of what I'm looking at. I'm really seeing this end of it here. And by just limiting my view, it's helping me to focus on just this section. So that's kind of a pro tip. Set up your views and of what you want to sketch to your advantage. Now I can move and show you the entire bridge you see. As I move down here, we can see more of it. So yeah. So I just want to share that kind of tip with you. Don't feel like you need to sketch the entire structure. Set up your views to kind of limit what you're seeing and just focus on what you see in that view. Hopefully that helps with your architectural sketching. All right, thank you for watching. If you are interested in learning more about architectural sketching and urban sketching, I have a free newsletter called Ink Inspired Sketchnotes. Just go to my website, www.the ink sponsor inspired life.com and you can sign up for it for free. All right, I hope to see you guys in the newsletter. Have a great, great rest of your.
