Hey, how you guys doing? I gotta change cameras. Boom, there we are. Happy Monday night. Hope you're doing well. I'm Jason with the Ink Spired Life where I love. I love sketching design. Architecture. Sketching architecture. I think I just love the whole idea of just the act of creativity and creating things. If you think about it, it's a really cool kind of power or superpower that we all have to create something from nothing. And my nothing is a blank sheet of paper. So we're going to create a sketch tonight. I have been sketching some kind of creepy haunted house. Maybe they're not so creepy, but haunted house vibe sketches. You can see this one here on screen. So we'll do another sketch tonight as well and hope you guys can join me for a few minutes. And I'm just clicking some buttons. I make sure everything's up and running and it looks like it is. Awesome. Alright, cool. So let's flip over to a blank page. I don't know exactly what I'm gonna sketch. I'm gonna zoom out just a smidge. Hopefully you guys can all see this at home. Let me know if you can or can't see it, if you can or if you can't hear me. All that stuff. And I have to close this window. A lot of clicky, clicky of the buttons over here. And there's a. I got it. Hey, great to see everybody. I am here. Anuj, great to see you on Insta. On TikTok. YouTube. Good to see you, Anuj. I am sorry. My brain's tired, but that's okay. Hope you're doing well. I love that you watch me from India. That is. That is just so cool. I hope you're doing well. All right, let's just sketch. So my goal is just to sketch like a haunted type house with these mansard roofs. We have a. They call this a widow's walk at the top. So we kind of have a tower happening. Maybe we have a roof line across here and then we'll do a porch kind of roof happening here. So I'm just kind of winging this guy. It's all just for my imagination. And we'll see what happens. Halloween is Friday. Are you guys. Is anybody out there dressing up? I'd love to know if you have a costume planned. I don't have any costume plans. It'll be kind of. It might be kind of fun to dress up or. I don't know. I mean, my go to costume would be Batman, of course, because you guys that know me Know I'm a Batman fan, but I don't really know. Cool. So I am sketching with a Sharpie right now on this. Cool. I love this. This craft paper. I just love the color of. Really lends itself nicely to adding color on top of. So this is Sharpie Creative marker and some colored pencil on here. So this has kind of been my go to sketchbook late. And let's see. So we have a. We have a porch kind of happening there. I think this sketch is actually going to extend on. Yeah, I think we're gonna. I want to bring it onto this page because I want a nice, big kind of gable roof happening. Gable roof is this pointed peak. So in architectural land, we call it a gable roof. So you might have noticed whenever I sketch architecture, I usually. I usually will start with the top or roof areas first because they tend to be the most complicated or. Yeah, in this case, the most complicated kind of shapes happening. So it's a good way for me to just kind of get the landscape going, the architectural landscape going with the building, and I could just work my way down. Hey, M. I see you on Instagram. Great to see you. Hope all's well. Let's run down some Sharpie marker, then we'll add some color and you'll see when things really start to kind of pop out. No worries, M. It's all good. I get it. I get it. I am. I am. I am wrapping up not later than 10 tonight. I am really tired today. Wanted to pop on, just say hello, do a quick sketch before I head off to sleepy land. Sketching is a really fun way for me just to kind of wind down the night, change my brain sometimes. My brain's really, really busy. Has a lot going on in it. In it. Sketching is a cool way for me to kind of empty out my brain. Calm down a little bit. Quiet down a little bit. Although sketching could also do the opposite for me. It could fire me up and really get my sparks going. So it's taken me a long time just to kind of learn which direction I want to go when I'm sketching. Do I want to go in calm, quiet mode, or do I want to be fired up, revved up like caffeinated mode? So it could go either way. And it's just practice and just kind of conditioning your brain, your mindset, and setting, setting an intention. So when I went to sketch before I sketched tonight, I said to myself, okay, I want this to be a calm, quiet kind of sketch session where I'm Just letting my brain kind of go and kind of relax a little bit. So I prepped my brain for that. Cool. All right. You can see some shapes happening here. One of the cool things that makes for me makes a building. We'll call it a haunted house. Look is the building is very asymmetrical. So asymmetrical means it is not balanced left and right. It's not a mirror image. It's has wonky shapes. It's kind of heavy on this side, gets a little lighter on this side. So it's asymmetrical. No balance really. No harmony to it. It's just almost frantic or chaotic in the layout. I wanted to have a stone base. So I'm going to sketch some stone here, then we're going to throw on some color. So if you have any questions, comments, please put them in the chat. I am going to check. As soon as I finish the stonework here, we'll check the chat, see what you guys are up to. More than happy to answer questions. Comments. Yeah. Cool. All right, put a corner here as well. Maybe have a nice round window there. And let's just throw in. Let's throw in three windows here that will add color. All right, cool. So kind of creepy. Ish. Hey, Chips in house. Chip says it would be cool if you could sketch the Dark Shadows house from the show. Great architecture. Oh, I'll have to look up the reference. I have not seen Dark Shadows in years. I remember the old PBS show and then Tim Burton did a remake actually with Johnny Depp. I remember that movie. It was kind of. Let's be honest with you, I love Tim Burton, but the movie was not that good. But I'll definitely check out the architecture. It's probably dark Gothic architecture. Thank you, Chip. Jessico Studio. I'll be picking up a lock b a 5 field folio soon for an early Christmas present. Jesco Studio. You're gonna love your lock B Stuff I'm gonna go into to promote promo mode. If you're going to order from lock me use, I would love for you to use my discount code. So my discount code is on the screen in the upper left. It's ink spired. I n K spired. You can get a 10% discount on most items. Love it. And I have to honestly, I get a little piece of that, the chain. The price does not change for you, but I don't really get much. But I would love for you to use my discount code. That is so cool. And if you have questions about your lock be stuff, let Me know I'm a lock me ambassador. I'm more than happy to answer questions. I'm very proud of. Very proud to use their products. So proud that actually inquired about becoming part of their design team. They're not looking for anybody right now, but maybe one day. Cool. I love that. Oh, cool. Jessica, I love that. Thank you. I appreciate that, man. All right, cool. Let's throw down some color, guys. So what am I going to use? Well, I've been using the same color palette. I love this color palette. So we're going to stick with it. White. We're going to use the white Sharpie creative marker. We're going to use a little bit of red. If I can find it. I hope I have it here. I should have it here. Yeah, I've got it right here. Got some red and then maybe some gray for the roof. Let's throw down some white. Actually, before I do that, I could do it two ways. I can throw down. I can sketch the siding of the houses. I imagine this to be like a wood siding. I like to do metal roofs, so I'm going to show metal roofs here. Actually, I'll do two ways. I'll show you when I put the siding down, first, I'll go over it with the white, and then we could do the white and sketch on top of it. Either way, there are no wrong answers, guys. Just throw down ink, throw down pen, throw down color, throw down lines. The main things you. I just. Just feel like. Just feel the joy of the act of creating. Like I was saying before, I think creativity and act of making something from nothing is a superpower that we all have. This was a blank piece of paper a few minutes ago. I'm kind of scribbling this on notice. I'm not coloring everything. I want to leave some space, some white space on that. Sorry if my hand was blocking it. You know, whether it's sketching, drawing, music, cooking, it doesn't matter. Takes so many forms. Creativity has endless forms. It's really just about getting the confidence just to express. Pick out something you like to do, try different things, and just express yourself. All right, so maybe you can kind of see. I'm gonna get closer. You can see here where I pre drew the lines for the house siding. It's showing through the white here. I don't have any yet. I'll show you that. You can actually zoom in a little bit. You can sketch right on top of that. What the heck? This window keeps opening on my screen. I don't know why. There. That's a little bit bigger. Just get some in here, and then we'll throw down some red. We'll add some more lines. How much time do I have? I have 10 minutes. This is a quick. Sketch. Throw more white down in here. All right, cool. I think that's good for now. Yeah, Chip, that was a cool idea. So thank you for that. I'm definitely look up images of the dark shadows house. Creating something that has never existed before this moment. Yeah, Jesco, exactly. That's. That is. That's so true. Right? I love how red creative marker pops on this paper. It is so fun. And I. You know what? I want to do another chimney. I just got an idea. I want to do a really kind of cool chimney over here. Maybe we'll do one with has, like a two kind of stacks coming out the top. Oops. There we go. That's fine. All right, let's do another chimney on that side. This has been a fun series. These kind of haunted house inspired sketches. I might have to go back and make them look creepier. Maybe I'll do that on the live stream tomorrow or the next day. All right, let's add some siding here. So here's an example of sketching on top of the white. I could add shutters on these. I didn't, but I just thought of that. It. Another thing I like doing is just have having wonky lines. So if you were to take a ruler, straight edge, none of these lines are going to be straight. And that's intentional. I don't want beautiful straight lines. Oh, you know what I could do? Let's do, like, a diamond pattern kind of a shingle here. I wanted to break this up a little bit. This little piece of wall back here so we do, like, a diamond pattern. Just adds a little bit of interest to it. Where's my roof color? Where's the gray? It. All right, I have, like, six minutes left. Let me know if you need questions or comments. As I get in the home stretch here. You know, we're going to do a. I know what I want to do a diamond roof shingle pattern up here. I'll sketch over that after it dries. Boom. Chip says it's very num. It's very numerous with spires Gothic, as you mentioned, like house on a haunted hill. Ooh. Gotcha. Yeah, definitely. As soon as I get off the stream, I'm going to. I'm going to Google that house. You know what, Chip? That will be. I'm planning on sketching live tomorrow night. I will sketch The Dark Shadows House. I have to sneeze. Sorry, guys. Excuse me. I will. Yeah, I'll sketch the Dark Shadows House tomorrow night, so stay tuned if you're interested. I've been popping on around 9:30 before I head to bed, so I'll probably be on around 9:30 tomorrow night as well. If you're on YouTube and you haven't followed me or subscribed yet, please do. I would love for you to do that. I think I'm at 900 and 967 subscribers. I really, really would love to get to 1000 by Friday. It's kind of a. It's kind of a personal goal I have. And says hey, hey, M. Hey, hey to you. Isn't he the. Isn't. Hei, hei. The chicken for Moana. I. Let's throw some hatch lines to create shadows. And then might be a wrap on this one for tonight. It's not quite done. I wanted a couple more things I would definitely do before I officially wrap it up. Like, for example, I really want to pull out the columns here on the porch. They're really not reading. So I would take my black creative marker and just do an outline. Oh, I want to do an arch here. Hold on. Let's make an arch. Yeah, let's make an arch there. You'll see it better when I pull it out with the creative marker. I really need more gothic pointed arches on these haunted houses. That would help give it more of a. Yeah, this. More of a haunted house vibe. It. Hey, thank you for the shadow. I appreciate that so much. Emily. I appreciate that. That is really, really kind of you. Thank you so much. That means tons. Thank you. And likewise back at you. I appreciate your hard work and your creativity. So keep on being creative. You got a lot of creativity. Love it. Thank you so much. Cool. So you guys think. You guys. Do you like this one? I think it's kind of cool. I got like three minutes, so let's add some. I love using the chartreuse for the kind of grass. So we'll throw them some chartreuse here. I have to be honest with you. I really could stay up. I'm not. I'm not tired enough to go to bed yet, but probably should. Cool, right? Emily says yes. Love it. Thank you. That's so cool. All right, let me show you what I meant by. By pulling out the columns on the porch. I'm going to use. This is where one of the. When I say sketch boldly, this is an example. I'm going to be throwing down this kind of heavy black marker on here. It takes guts to be able to do that. Right. Because this could be like an oh, my God, what did I do? Moment. Why did I do that? You can't think that way. You gotta just. It's easy for me to say. It takes a lot of practice. Just do it. Just do it. So I am just gonna do it. Yeah. I've had practice, so I kind of know the result I'm gonna get. And the more you do it, the more confident you'll get. Right. So you can see by throwing that black outline, it's helping to pull that porch out a little bit. And what else will help is throwing in some white where those posts are. So I might have to go back over it. Whenever you're drawing, whenever you're painting, it's your world, right? Especially if you're just doing this for yourself. Like, no one's paying me to do this. Not a commission. This is my world, so I could do whatever the heck I want. It's kind of fun. It's kind of powerful. Who's. Who's gonna tell me that this is wrong? And if they do, So what? It's okay. Everybody you meet, everybody you encounter in your entire life is they're all going to have different opinions of you. I've definitely learned that over the years, especially teaching. And you can't let that stop you. Let people have their opinions. It's so. It's hard sometimes not to take things personally, but don't let it shut you down. Just be you. That's all I'm gonna say. Just be you. Cool. I think it's starting to pop with the outlines now. Jessica said, dude, that's awesome. By M. Thank you for watching. Appreciate you. Hey, thanks, Jessica. I appreciate your kind words. Thank you for being. I think you're one of my newest followers, so thank you. That is so awesome. Yeah, I'm. I'm liking this one. Guys. I'm gonna go a minute or I think two minutes over. I just want. I'm gonna wrap this up just by coloring some of the windows in black. Chip, I know if you're still out there, you had to leave around 10, so I appreciate you watching. Thank you so much. Chip is a. Chip is an amazing human being. Shout out to Chip. I don't know if you're still there or not, but I'll give you a shout out anyway. I received a really cool painting in the mail today from Chip. It was such a surprise when I came home today. And, yeah, I don't have it here. Otherwise I'd show you guys this in the other room. But thank you, Chip. It was. It's awesome. I am really blessed to know some incredible people in my life, and I don't take that for granted at all. Guys, what can I do to make this look more spooky? So tomorrow I'm gonna. I think I'm gonna look at Chip suggestion. We'll start stark. My God, I'm tired. Sketch the Dark Shadows. A Dark Shadows inspired house, man. You can see these are all the same color palettes. Oh, Chap, your song. Thank you so much. I know you got to get out of here. I appreciate you. Thank you. Endless, endless, endless gratitude, man. Love you much. Sweet. Hey, Zach, I don't know if you're still on, but I see. So Zach was on Instagram. Cool. Guys. You can tell that I just. I don't want to stop. This is so fun for me. Oh, there's one thing I wanted to sketch is I wanted to pull out the porch here. So I'm going to throw some white across just to pull out the base of the porch. Some columns there. Maybe we have some white where the steps are. There we go. I knew it was missing something there. I think this one's done, guys. Yes. Love it. Hey, Andrew. Good to see you. Hope you're. Hope all's well. I see you over on Insta. It's either Andrew or Zach. I see two names there. You guys are awesome. Appreciate y' all so, so much. Thanks for watching this kind of spooky haunted house inspired week I've been having. Well, it's only Monday, but I think I started these on Saturday, so stay tuned for tomorrow. Hope you can join me around 9:30pm that's my plan. We'll do another spooky house. This one. Next one will be inspired by the Dark Shadows house. Shout out to Chip. So m. Thank you for watching Jessico Studio. Thank you so much as well. Appreciate your kind words in the chat. Let's. If you ever want to talk a lock B, let me know. Like I nerd out about their stuff. Andrew said it's going pretty well. Awesome. Finished con the Conjuring House main sketch. Ooh, Andrew, I can't wait to see it. I know. I. I spent like five seconds and I drew one line on your sketch today, so wasn't much help. But I kind of. I knew my brain where I was going. I'm more than happy to spend time with you. Sit down longer if you want and we can kind of walk through the process, but I'm excited to see what you came up with. Awesome. Right, guys, we meet again. Sketch boldly, live creatively. And I'm gonna change the last one. I have a couple ones, so it's usually sketch boldly, live creatively, and inspire endlessly. But I was having a talk with Chat GPT. I love Chat GBT for brainstorming, and it said to change the last one to be the light. I think it knows I do Statue of Liberty torch sketches that say be the light. So, anyways, anyways, till we meet again. Have a great, great night. Take.
