Hey there, I'm Jason Nicholas Nicholas with the Inkspired Life bringing you a first look at a product I have been so excited to check out. Um, this is an unsponsored video. I purchased this myself, so I'm just going to give you my first look at the Lockbee Folio. Um, you probably have seen me in the past talk about my favorite kind of journal or everyday carry which is the Lockbie Field Journal. So this is kind of a newer version of the Field Journal with some changes on it. So when I'm looking at this, the color is really cool. It's called Bumblebee. It's black with a yellow orangish interior. Um, it has a carry handle which I actually like to use, and I'm sketching, I'll hold this in my hand like this and then I'll open it up and I'll do my sketching. So it's really cool for that. Um, the one really big different feature between this and the, the Field Journal here is that the folio has a zipper on it, so it'll keep your contents really secure inside. So let's open it up and take a look. All right, this is the inside. Um, really, really cool layout. I love that it has a lot of pockets in here, so we can put, you know, maybe we could put some paper or note cards in there. I could slip a pencil in there if I wanted to as well. So this is a nice deep pocket. There are shallow— shallower pockets here, maybe some Post-it notes. Another mesh pocket down here, and there's also pockets on the back and a big deep one here. And also in the back here, got another pocket. This one I probably would put my cell phone in this one, so, and it fits in there pretty nicely. So you can see my phone in there. Let's take a look at the inside. So this is the paper that came with it. It's a dot grid 5.8 inches by 8.3 inches, so it's a really decent size. And I love, um, the system of putting these notebooks or sketchbooks in here. So if you see these elastics, you can actually put up to, up to 4 of these in here at the same time. But I'll show you how it goes in. So I'm just going to open my book up and I'm going to slide it right through the elastic. This is a great feature. It's also on the Field Journal as well. And again, you could put up to 4 notebooks in here, or sketchbooks. Really cool. It has the, the kind of book markers here as well, which I always like. Um, it gets to my page quickly so I know where to start sketching next time I start up again. Um, that is so awesome. I As I get to use this, I'm sure I'll figure out what's going in what pockets, but I just love the flexibility and the fact that there is a lot of options with this. So let's just— maybe we'll do a quick little— oh yeah, let's talk about the pen holder. Um, so the pen holder is actually located right up here at the top, so you can slide a nice pen in there. Also, I guess if you need more I always like to carry extra pens with me. You can put some more in the side pocket. So it should close with the pen. Let's give it a shot. So it closes nice. We'll zip it up. So you can see it's all— it's closed. No issues there. I got the handle again. I can carry it. Um, really, really cool. So for a first look, I'm loving the aesthetics of it, loving the zipper, um, I'm loving the handle, very comfortable. Seems like there's a little more space in this handle than on the, the, uh, Field Journal. And yeah, what's not to like about it? So I'm going to be taking this around with me for the next few weeks. I'm going to break it in, put it through some trials, and I'll come back with a follow-up video about what do I think and how is it working for me. It's going to be really hard to put the field journal down for a bit, but this is— I love, love, love, love this field journal. But let's try this. I'm just intrigued by the zipper part, and I think it's a little more secure.
