Hello. Happy Friday, January 24, 2025. I'm Jason with the Ink Spired Life, bringing you a quick sneak peek at a new product I just got today. And we'll do a quick sketch on this Friday night. I hope you're having an awesome, awesome day. So yeah, if you could see it here on my desktop, a new product that I purchased. This. So this quick look is my own words, my own thoughts. This was not supplied to me. I'm just giving you my first kind of impression about the Lockbee Sidekick Wallet. Really compact in size. It's only. Let's see, it's about. And round this off, let's say it's like 5.75 inches by 3 1/2 inches roughly. It's pretty cool. It folds nice and flat and I'll show you what's inside. So if you open it, I kind of have it mocked up in here. You could fit some credit cards maybe on the side pockets, place to put some cash if you want. Over in here. I love this. This is probably my favorite feature right now is the built in pen holder right here. So I have my Sharpie kind of fitting in there nicely. There's also a place over here where you can put. I kind of mocked up a notebook, but I think you could fit like an A7 size notebook. I forget the exact specs. I think it's two and a half by four inches. Not 100% sure. But there's more information on the Lock B website if you want to know the exact size. But I just mocked up. This is a smaller version. I just stapled some paper together to fit it in here for now because it does not come with a journal or notebook to put in it. So you can fit a notebook in here if you want. There's other pockets on the side. So I am not sure what I'm going to be using those pockets for yet, but they are there. They're as another option. It's really cool, very compact. I did put it in my pocket earlier today, so I was walking around with it in my pocket for a while. So it does fit in the, in the front pockets of my jeans. And again if I close it, you can see it's pretty narrow when you have even when you have a pen inside there. So pretty cool. So it's called the Lockbee Sidekick Wallet. It's available on their website. This is the brown color. It comes in black and also blue. And I'm gonna give it a try. I'll come back with another review after I've you know, I've had it for a while. I just literally got it this afternoon. I've only had it in my pocket for a couple hours, and I haven't really done much with it yet. But an initial glance, I mean, I love it. It matches the rest of the Lock B lineup as far as, like, the quality goes, the colors go. So it'll be interesting to see. One thing that I'm a little. Not hesitant about, but I kind of wish it had some kind of a. Either a snap closure or maybe a zipper, which I know would add to the thickness of this, but just something maybe keep it sealed because I don't want it to open and have any cards or anything fall out. All right, so that's my quick look at the Lock B Sidekick wallet. I'll give you more feedback after I use it. Awesome. Let's do some sketching. So I think tonight I'm going to sketch. I have some Fabriono 1264 watercolor paper, four by eight. I love the format of this paper. You can use it vertically, horizontally. So it's just a real nice piece. I'll zoom out a little bit. So let's do a quick sketch here. I think I'm gonna do a Brooklyn Bridge sketch. I haven't done one in a while. So let's do it. Let's see. Let's do that. And you know what we're gonna do? We're gonna sketch on the black background so you can see it better. There you go. Awesome. So I have my Sharpie here. I'm gonna do a quick Brooklyn Bridge inspired sketch. And we might just focus on a part of the bridge I haven't sketched in a while. So let's do. And I'm going to time myself. It's 10:42, so let's see. 10:42. Let's go to. We'll say 10:50 on this sketch. So like eight minutes or so. It. Zoom in so you can see it closer. There we go. Actually, I'm going to sketch faster because I want it to be really kind of scribbly and I want it messy looking and the proportions are a little off. It should be taller, narrower, but I don't. That's okay. I'm just sketching for fun little sketching before I go to bed. It's a great way for me to wind down from a busy day. And let's see, we kind of have the roadway coming through. Let's bring the structure of the bridge down a little bit. Let's kind of bring the roadway through like this. Looking forward to the weekend. Saturday is here tomorrow. Great. I think Saturday is my favorite day of the week. I just love it. There's, like, no pressure to get things done, Although there's always stuff to do, but there's no, like, immediacy. I guess I can kind of get things done at my own pace. Maybe spend some extra time sketching, maybe shoot some videos. And of course, I have to do some house chores. So we kind of have, like, a structure going for the bridge here. Get the cables. Let's sketch some cables in. I might break out some creative markers just for fun. Throw some quick colors on here. I love the Brooklyn Bridge. I can't wait to walk across it again. I'm shooting for spring to do that, so that'll be fun. Maybe during my spring break, I'll do that. Cool. All right, let's break out. We're gonna throw some colors on here. So there you go. It's just a quick. It's quick black, black, and white. I do like it black and white. But you know what I want to do? I want to pull the cables out. So I'm just going to break out. Let's do some colors on here. Let's. Let's start with maybe some yellow and see what happens. I did a video last night about building creative confidence, and I talked about my create framework for creative confidence. Be sure to check out that video if you haven't seen it yet. And I gave some tips just for helping. To help to create some more creative confidence. I just said the word create a lot of times. Right. We got. Let's say we have some yellow, and also I also want to do the diagonal ones. I'm gonna. I'm gonna be brave and use red. I'm using more red these days. I've noticed I'm not as afraid of red as I used to be. So these are just the cables coming down, and I like how you can see them with the color contrast here. And I don't know if I'll put. I don't know if I'll add much more colors right now. I think I want to do some hatching, so I'll take the Sharpie out. I want to kind of add some hatching under the bridge here to give a little bit of shadow, a little bit of depth, And we'll bring some here. So I'm just adding some shadows kind of under the roadway here, under the. At the bottom side of the structure. So I think it adds a little bit of depth there to It. And then we're going to do the same thing in the arches just to add a little bit of depth to the arches so they look like they kind of go back. Back a little bit. Just trying to create the suggestion of some little bit of perspective happening. Maybe we'll do some under the cap stones here. And then also along this. This kind of pops out a little bit. So we'll do some down here. Let's see. Hopefully you guys can see that. Okay. Sorry if it's. Sorry if I'm drifting to the right a little bit. I tend to move my paper when I'm sketching or my. In this case, the kind of the sketch pad here is moving. I think I want to pull this outline a little bit out, so I'm just going to go over it. I could use a thicker Sharpie. I could use a black Creative marker, but I'm just going to just take what I have right now, just kind of go over some of that line work to pull it out. I think I'm gonna pull out the roadway. Let's just. We'll keep with the yellow and red and we'll see how that looks it. And pull out some of this kind of X pattern that you see kind of in the rails here. One of the things I like about the Sharpie Creative markers is that they dry super fast. So I can actually go back over this with black again really quickly. For me, they're great to take when I'm out sketching in the field and I don't have a lot of time. I'm trying to capture stuff quick. I know I can use them because they'll dry really quickly. So now you can see an overview. Yeah, I think I like it. All right, cool. So there we have a quick sketch of part of the Brooklyn Bridge. Let's sign it here. Cool. All right, guys, so that's a quick sketch of the Brooklyn Bridge. So tonight we looked at a quick peek at the Lockbee Sidekick wallet. Definitely go to their website if you want more information.
