Hey everybody, hope you're having an awesome, uh, Saturday, October 21st. Good to be on here for a few minutes. Yeah. So I'm going to just do a kind of perspective scene here inspired or inspired by New York City. It's kind of a view looking past Penn Station. We have Madison Square Garden here and then we're going to— I'll be sketching the Empire State Building back here in the background. Let me know where you're watching from. Hopefully it's going out there. I kind of started I was having some tech issues, so I don't even know. Looks like I'm live streaming. Yes, Linda can hear me. Linda, hope all is well. Good to see you. So I guess I am live streaming. I've had some tech issues, but it looks like everything's up and working. Good to know. Lily says, yes, you are here. You are, and I can hear you. That is awesome.
Awesome.
So I'm definitely out there streaming on the YouTube thingy. I don't know if I'm reaching the Facebook peeps or not. It's okay, I'm gonna keep sketching, just have fun. And I appreciate you, uh, you guys tuning in, whether you're watching live or the replays. It's all good as long as you're getting some fun out of this. That's all that matters too. A little bit of fun, maybe a little bit of peace, maybe a little— well, hopefully some creative inspiration. It's kind of my goal, is just paying forward with creativity, and hopefully, hopefully that is getting out there into the world. Um, yeah, very cool. So we got this kind of cityscape thing happening here, and then the Empire State Building is way back in the distance, like right Maybe in here we have good old ESB. That's how the cool people say it, ESB, Empire State Building. I guess I'm not one of the cool people because I'm saying it that way. I love the Empire State Building. It's just, it's a gorgeous, gorgeous building. You can see it from so many locations in the city. Pictures do not do this thing justice. You got to see this building in person. So dang cool. You know I'll gush on about it forever because it's an amazing building, but it's way, way back here. We got some other buildings kind of happening in front. I'm going to pop these up. I may actually pick— I think I'm going to take out a thicker Sharpie because I want to kind of darken some of this here, just pull the outlines out. This is an iconic building right here as well, Moynihan Hall, Penn Station, uh, neoclassical architecture. Lots of columns happening here on the facade. But let me know what you're up to on this Saturday. Hope you're having a great Saturday. And we have some windows. This is a big wall happening here. We have some windows kind of happening down in here. This building I'm sketching on right now is Madison Square Garden. And it is round. We got the sidewalk here. I should have another line here for the top of that wall. All right, cool. Quick little perspective. Uh, watching Nightmare Before Christmas earlier today. I'm watching It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown now. Yeah, great, great things. Nightmare Before Christmas is a classic. Charlie Brown's classic. Good stuff to be watching. I love The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is, uh, definitely in my top 10 favorite movies of all time. And there's been talk of doing a sequel, maybe, or I guess it would be a prequel, to learn a little bit more about Jack. I don't know if that would ever happen, but it would be cool if it did. The music in that is amazing, the animation is amazing, the set designs are amazing. Just a great, great story. Some windows on this building over here. I'm letting the paper texture kind of show through with the Sharpie. I just— I'll zoom in— I just kind of like the roughness and the broken lines. I could color these solid, but I I'm gonna keep them this way. I like the texture showing through. It helps to keep it kind of light, light and loose, like my style. I'm gonna let the texture help me with that. You can definitely use, you know, use your media to your advantage, whatever effects you're trying to get. You have these kind of finial pieces kind of popping up on the top of this building. Cool. Yeah, I like the way this is looking. They keep talking about— they keep talking about hoping that there is one for Jack. Yeah. That would be awesome, right? How cool would that be? I'm hearing weird things on my end, so I am having some, uh, I think there's some tech issues. I might have to start— stop and restart again. I just recently updated this software, my streaming software, and that could be Maybe that's what's causing some of the glitching.
Let's see, it keeps happening.
I'll stop, stop and restart, but I'm not gonna be on for too long anyway tonight. Pretty cool. Awesome. Way to check. Let me check some settings here.
Boom, boom.
Let me go on. Just bear with me for a sec if you're watching. I'm going to check some tech stuff out on my screen. What is going on? Let's click that. Interesting, interesting. Well, my words are not showing up in your yellow screen. Yeah, I definitely have tech issues, so I'm actually going to start— stop and restart. So let me go to stop and I'll be back on in a minute or two. We'll see if that works. Say lovey, the tech world.
