Hey Becky, good afternoon. Hope you're having an awesome, awesome Sunday. I am totally popping on at a random time on Sunday. But just wanted to paint something quick. I just realized I don't have any water here, so I have a water brush. Yeah, it's probably just doing something quick, trying, uh, something out with music on the stream, see if it's working out a little bit. I hope you're having a great, great day. Actually, I do have water. I just remembered. I have a whole thing right here. I just need a little bit. Put this cap here. Cool. There we go. Got some water. Awesome. Water that has some yellow in it from the paint that's in the lid. It's cool. I like the way it's looking. Part of my arm there. Was watching— oh, that's awesome! That's cool, thanks for joining. Yeah, I popped on very late last night after the workshop. I was so wired up that I wanted to keep doing stuff. Thank you for participating and being in that workshop. I really appreciate it. It was a lot of fun, a lot of fun. So thank you. Thank you for sharing your artwork and your feedback and comments with everybody. That was awesome. Good, good stuff. This will be probably a quick little thing here. Press soap just to 130. I got homework to do. Yeah, it was an awesome group. Totally agree. Totally agree. Love to keep that group going, keep it together. Such amazing people and positivity. It was awesome. Totally agree with you on that. Thank you again for, uh, for being part of it. Couldn't have asked for a better group of people I had my first workshop with. So, so blessed. Cool. Let me know if you can— let me know if you can hear music going on in the background. I have music playing. I don't know if it's audible, if you can hear on your end of things. If you could let me know, that would be awesome. Facebook friends requests are flying back and forth. Oh, that's great. Awesome. I'm so glad everybody's connecting, was able to connect a little bit more from the workshop. That's so cool. That's what it's about, right? Hey, you hear the music? Awesome. Yeah, it's like epic hero, epic music playing in the background. Creativity builds community, right? Hey, Dawn, you can hear the music. Awesome. I'm trying something new. I found a way I could play music while I'm doing this. Royalty-free. Well, it's actually not royalty-free. I have to pay. I'm paying. It's like a membership thing. I pay a fee and I can use this music to broadcast. So right now I'm just playing some instrumental. It's called— I'm calling it my hero, epic hero kind of soundtrack. Just to test it out. It's good to see you, Dawn. Thanks for popping in. You guys are awesome. Just telling Becky how awesome and what— how lucky I was to have you guys in my first workshop. So I really appreciate it. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive group of creatives. So thank you guys so, so much. It was a pleasure. I was really nervous about doing it and you guys made it easy for me. Made me feel comfortable. Even with the tech hiccups and everything. So thank you so much. So I'm just doing a quick little sketch here. I don't know what it is. Something maybe architectural. Actually using Kilimanjaro paper. It's only the third time I've used it. Hey, thank you, Becky. Yeah, we'd love to keep that— gotta keep that group going for sure. That would be awesome. I'm planning on June 19th, is that a Saturday? The last day of school is Friday the 18th. A Saturday, June 19th, I'd like to do a reunion and revisit everybody's final homework assignments, do a show and tell. But there'll be more coming up on that. Cool. I'm loving this music. So, uh, yeah, so right now I'm using a water— what do they call this? It's a brush that has black ink in it. It's a Pentel brush with black ink in it. Maybe it's a color brush, maybe? It has replaceable cartridges. I've only used it a couple of times. Um, so I'm just playing around, getting a feel for it a little bit here. It's turning out to be some kind of tower or spire. What a surprise, right? I do a lot of, uh, spires and towers. Sketching in some masonry work or stonework here. I thought it'd be fun for you guys to hear the music I listen to when I sketch, or at least the music I can play. It's like cool. Treekin Shave, thank you. "Jousting tournament tent, turnip farm castle, wonky cottage. Could be any of the 9 of— circus even." Yeah, I love that. Could be a lot of different things happening here. Very cool. Yes, Miss Chartreuse has made an appearance. Dun dun dun! No mask made from hollowed-out tree stump, maybe. Yeah, Becky, I love your imagination. It could definitely be any of those things for sure. So I'm using the Kilimanjaro paper. I think it's only the third time I've ever tried using it. A lot of texture, which is cool. 140-pound. Guys, I know you guys have seen this paper before. I'm on a quest to find paper that I like. I like the Canson XL for what I've been doing so far, but I find that I'm starting to add more water and ink and stuff to a lot of these sketch paintings, and I'm looking for something that's a little thicker, has a little more texture than the Canson XL. Not getting rid of it by any means, still be my standard probably to go to for just quick normal sketching, watercolor, quick watercolor washes. Something like this is actually getting pretty wet in here and it's actually taking it pretty well. It's not buckling in that bad. The Canson would be really bad right now with buckling. Of course I gotta break out some sepia, then we'll wrap this up for now. Course, gotta break the CPU. Actually, you know what? Yeah, we'll do it. I was gonna live on the edge and do something totally different, but not right now. Let's use the CPU. Oops, I think the music's on repeat. It's all good. Cool. It's looking a little washed out. Actually, turn that light off. It's looking a little washed out with the lights in here. It's hard to see on the camera, but this is a nice sepia kind of background here. It's a little washed out in that corner. Hey, hey, hey, Cat, good morning. I do sleep. I do sleep. That's an awesome question. Good to see you. Yeah, I don't usually pop on Sundays this time, but I am going to wrap up. I said 1:30. I'm a little late. I'm going to wrap up so I can go do homework. I am procrastinating. But I wanted to play with this Kilimanjaro paper, just play around with it a little bit, get used to the texture. It's only my third time using it. I'm liking it. Awesome. Hey Linda, good to see you. Thank you, Linda. Glad you're enjoying the music. I finally subscribed to a music site where I can play music online that, you know, I'm basically paying to use the rights to it. So I found some music I can play. So I wanted to test that out this morning as well and see if you guys could hear it. This is my— I call this the Heroic Epic Soundtrack. Cool. I want a brighter light. Lighter yellow than the chartreuse on here. Um, cool. Looks like my camera's lagging a little bit. I was just testing it. Kind of waving my hand here. Um, I do— I, uh, oh cool, new subscription Artbox Strathmore Art Journal 400 Series. Oh, 184 pounds. Paper? Oh, I'll have to look for that. That sounds cool, Don. I'll have to Google that paper, take a look for it. I am on the quest for the ultimate paper on a budget. That's awesome. Yo, Becky, cat, catty, but yo, Becky out there. Like that. Yo, yo. Hey, you guys are awesome. I'm gonna log out in a minute. Minute or so. I just wanted to pop in and say hello, and again, thank you guys for being in the workshop. I truly appreciate everybody so much. It was a great experience. I was really nervous doing it, haven't taught anything like that before. You guys made me comfortable, you made it positive and fun, so thank you guys so, so much for that awesome experience. I really appreciate every single one of you guys. Yeah, it's interesting. I'm just looking at it on screen. I think after it dries, I'll play around with it some more. It's kind of wet right now. I want it to dry before I do anything else on it. I'll come back. I do want to show you guys one thing while you're here, if you don't mind. So we'll let that dry. I want to show you, I was working on the perspective from the workshop. This morning, and I'll show you kind of where it is. I think it's almost done. I want— wanted to go back and kind of add my style to it. You guys did awesome stuff with your perspectives. Incredible. But so this is kind of where I ended up with it right now. Zoom out a little bit. So this is kind of where my perspective is headed. It's almost done. I wanted to add some more grunginess to it. I still want to come back in, I think, add some line work to it. This is where it's headed. Yeah, we had an awesome time. Yeah. In case you joined and you didn't hear me before, I'm planning on June 19th, which I believe is a Saturday. It's the day after school's over. June 19th at night, 7:30 PM, I'd like to do our kind of reunion and everybody show their homework, their final homework assignment. I'll talk— we'll talk more about it. So that'll be like June 19th. It's kind of like last year, last day of camp. Oh, don't cry. You guys are awesome. Tears of joy, tears of joy. Love your sky. Thank you. Wow, looks so good. Awesome. Thank you, Becky. Yeah, so I wanted to kind of grunge it up a little bit. Uh, I don't think it's 100% done, but it's getting there. "Ultra Grunginess," thank you! "Wicked awesome with crunchy sauce." Hey, can I quote you on that? "Wicked awesome with crunchy sauce." Love that. You guys are awesome. "Wicked awesome with crunchy sauce." That's a great way to describe this. You guys are awesome. I love how you riff off each other as well in the comments. That is so cool. Awesome. Hey guys, so, on that note, I'm gonna head out for today. I will not be on tonight. I'm gonna take some downtime and maybe watch a movie later with the family at home. At least my wife. My son doesn't watch movies with us because he doesn't— I guess 15-year-olds don't like movies. That's what he tells me. Anyway, he's awesome. Hey, you guys are awesome. Thank you so much for tuning in on This is an unexpected timeframe. It is raining out here, which I kind of love because it's making me want to stay inside and go do homework. Thanks again, guys. Um, we'll keep the group workshop group open on Facebook, so you can always feel free to comment, post stuff in there, share stuff in there. I'll pop in and out of there as well. And what else? Oh, I posted a survey in there. If you guys could look at maybe sometime this week, I have a survey in our workshop group. I'd like you to to do and just give me feedback on the class. What did you like? What didn't you like? What could I improve on? And just some other, a few other questions in there. Please, if you have time, I'd love for you to do that. And I'm looking for like a testimonial if you, if you're up for it. Maybe write down a couple words or a sentence that I could, a couple sentences I could use to maybe include when I promote the July class. I would love that if you're up for it. If not, it's all good. I appreciate you guys. I know I'm asking a lot. Hey, Cat, have a great day. Enjoy the West Coast rum. That's awesome. 15-year-old Starl easily, yes. I have some paper I think you might like. Ooh, Cat, that's cool. Yeah, if you ever think of the name of it, put it in the comments. That would be so cool. Guys, thank you so much. Take care. I appreciate you all. Have an awesome, awesome Sunday. Peace and live creatively. Thank you so much. Pay it forward with your creativity. See you guys, have a great day. I hope you— by the way, let me know if you like the music or not. Just put in the comments, "Yes music" or "No music," if you like the idea of playing music while I'm doing this stuff, or if it's annoying while I'm trying to talk. I'd love your feedback on it, and I'll mix up the sounds tracks too. I have some cool jazzy stuff and I like all kinds of music. Bye guys, have a great day!
