Foreign. Hey, It's Tuesday night, February 10, 2026. I'm Jason with the Ink Spired Life. Popping on kind of late here on a weekday, especially when I have school tomorrow. I did not have not done any sketching or anything yet today and I'm trying to maintain my daily practice of 20 minutes or so. So I have to do it. So I figured I would just go live and do some stuff. Feel free to pop in, ask questions. I'll be mostly just creating here in creative mode. So again, just feel free to ask questions and I'll check the chat a few times throughout the stream. Okay. Not gonna create anything in particular. I just want to throw down some colors, get some lines down. It's a great way for me to unwind before I go to bed. It's been a kind of a non stop day. All right, again, I'm just gonna throw down colors. I am not trying to create anything specific. Oh, that's a lot of acrylic pa. And I'll zoom in a little bit here. Sorry. Boom. Oh, hey, Jen. Great to see you. Hope all's well. I'm sorry I'm popping on late here. I appreciate you popping in to say hello. That's awesome. I wasn't gonna go live, but, you know, I didn't do my sketching today and I figured since I had to do it, I might as well just go live and see if anybody pops on. It's always fun to do that. And I've just thrown down colors. Not. I know I sound like a broken record tonight, but I'm just throwing down colors. I just want to get something on paper here. So I have some acrylic. We'll use some creative markers as well and we'll just see what happens. This is going to be very, very brief. I mean, it's 10:08, so I should literally put a timer on. So 10:08 plus 20 would be what, 10:28. I will be over at 10:30, the absolute latest. I'm tired. But one of my words for 2026 is consistency. I'm trying to really be consistent. Something I have, I have lacked in over the years. I'm just. I'm throwing down some acrylic ink here. This is that really thin paper, so it'll be fun to see how it holds up to what I'm doing. But I just want to be more consistent. And consistent is a. Is just. It's a habit. Right. The more you do it, the more you can develop it. So I'm kind of just kind of pushing myself in that capacity. And I'm going with just kind of inexpensive sponge brush thing here. Feel free to let me know how you're doing, how your day is going, how it's winding down. This is fun. I like the colors that are happening. I just gotta grab some yellow. We'll throw some of that yellow down. Face, face red heart shape. I could see that. That's cool. I have a feeling once this dries, I'll come back with a sharpie and I'll sketch something on top of it. So this will be kind of a back. This is a. This is gouache. Acrylic gouache. Whoa. That is a lot of gouache that just came out of there. It looks like mustard, but it's not. Holy gouache, huh? I'm looking for a. I want to scrape a scraper thing. What could I use to scrape it? Scrap. I have scrap paper here. We're gonna make a little scraper thing. We're just gonna scrape this. So it's cool to just. To kind of throw things down and be abstract. You know what I'm going to do? I'm just going to play around. I'm going to take scissors. I'm just going to cut, like, an edge on here, and then we're going to kind of scrape that acrylic paint to see what it does. I got to be quick before it dries. So it's been a really kind of busy day. Did a lot today, and I need to wind down. Sketching is great way for me to wind down. Although we're not really sketching right now. All right, so I kind of made a jagged edge. Was not an Alanis Morissette song. Jagged pill or something. I don't know what this is gonna do. I'm just gonna. I'm. It's kind of cool. Where am I going to put this so I don't put my hand on it? Hey, Gigi's in the house. GG Great to see you. I appreciate you guys popping in. I'm on so late. What time do you guys usually go to bed? I'm usually in bed around 10:30 between. 10, 10:30 on a weekday. Cool. I want this to dry fast because I want to add more on it. Dry quick, quick, quick. I got a little heater thing here. Oh, dang. Holy. Making a mess over here. It's kind of cool. Hold it up closer. You can see the texture on there. Always great seeing you guys. Where's the cookies? Yeah, I made. They're in the Other in the kitchen, I made 12, 24, I think almost two dozen chocolate chip cookies. Here's. Here's the reason I made them. One of my students cheese moving soon. And her and her friends requested that I make some cookies for them. Some chocolate chip cookies. They've had. Had them before. They've liked them. So how could I say no to that? Yeah. So that's kind of fun. So I'm bringing them in for. For them tomorrow. And it's just cool. It's a cool thing to be asked to do that. One of the things I love about school is I'm just connecting with kids on different levels. It's fun. I feel like we need more pink on there. When I cook for dinner. Cheese steaks. I made cheesesteaks for dinner. Cheese steaks. That's honest with you. I didn't eat any, but I made them. That's because I had McDonald's after school. I was so hungry. Yeah, I went to Mickey D's. But I did make cheesesteaks. Cheese steaks with. I use like the steak meat. Steak and some peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, some Italian seasoning, olive oil, mozzarella cheese. You guys are funny. Love the question. Love the questions. Cool. I'm really living ordinary. I'm really liking Ordinary song lately. Ordering who's. Who sings Ordinary song. I. I am sorry. I don't know who the artist is. Yeah, it was yummy. Guys. I. Yeah, I did not. I did not watch the super bowl at all. I'm not. I don't have peacock. And not that I'm cheap. I just don't want to pay 12 bucks for the month. Although I'm missing the Olympics. I didn't watch a Super bowl, so I am so out of the loop. I know Bad Bunny was there in Green Day. I don't really know Bad Bunny, but I would like to have seen Green Day. I am just going to hold this over the heater. I'll put some. What else can I show you guys while we're doing that? Give you something to look at. I got a cool book. I'll show you. I'll give you a little show and tell. Here, let me. Oh, my gosh. I have such a mess going here. Ay, chihuahua. Here's a new. Here's a new book. Actually, it just came today. I haven't really even read it. It's called Meditations on Nature. Meditations. I am holding this in front of the heater as I'm talking to you. I'm multitasking. Meditation on nature. Meditations on Silence, edited by. I don't know if you can see that Roderick MacGyver, he has all. He did all the artwork in here. And I look at this cover, how cool it is. So I think, I believe he does water. All watercolors. So I'm really intrigued. I have another book that he did about Henry David Thoreau and you know, quotes and passages from Thoreau's work. And he did art. This guy MacGyver did artwork to the passages here. I just opened up this randomly. So we think we have some poetry in here, some quotes about nature and. Oh, obviously nature and silence and. Actually, let's just read this one here. Ready? Gather round for story time while this dries over here. So I'm going to read this. It's called Country Cottage. A peasant shack beside the clear river. The rustic gates opens on a deserted road. Weeds grow over the public well. I loaf in my old clothes. Willow branches sway. Flowering trees perfume the air. The sun sets behind a flock of cormorants drying their black wings along the pier. This is by Tu Fu, translated by Kenneth Rexworth from 100 Poems from the Chinese. So I just read this. So this is me. Really inspiring. What I want to do is read passages in here and I think one of either Monday, Wednesday or Friday livestream. I'll take a passage from this book and I'll do some artwork to it. So that'll be kind of fun. I'll flip through some other pages. Here's another cool kind of image. You guys are coming for dinner. That's so funny. That'd be awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Hey, if any of you guys are gonna be by the Met on Saturday. The Met. Let me know. I should be there painting or not painting. Sketching. This Saturday. This is cool. Bright angel point at sunset. Thus the light rains. Thus pours the liquid and Russian crystal beneath the knees of the gods. This is from I can't read this. Pound something the fourth Powell. I can't read that. Pretty cool though. And look at that image. So it's a cool book. Can't wait to go through it, read it, do some artwork to it. All right, let's see how this is drying. Oh, it's 10:20. So I got a wrap soon. So here. This is kind of how this is looking. I'm itching to get my Sharpie and draw on here, but it's not dry enough. Dang nabbit. See if you guys any other questions or comments. Oh, Alex Warren. I will. I will check that out. Awesome. Of course. I love Sharing. Love. Sharing. Love the idea. Really awesome. I'll show. I'm saying awesome a lot. Every time I say awesome. Score yourself one point. Yeah, I'll definitely follow through with that idea. So I will check that song out, that recommendation I am actually listening to. Do you guys know who this is? I recently rediscovered great Gregorian, and I. I'm loving their music, So it's kind of fun to listen to. All right, so again, I need to wrap by 10:30, so we're in the home stretch. Appreciate you guys hanging in and watching and especially at this weird time. Let's break out some acrylic markers, and I'll just keep adding on this. I'm gonna rotate it. Oh, do you guys see. Maybe. Maybe, like, a silhouette of a face? Maybe the head and nose? That's okay. I'll let you know how. Those cookies. What kind of review I get on those cookies? I had a fellow teacher. He. He's like. He told me he thinks I could actually sell them, make money selling the cookies. That's a compliment, right? Red. Red. I want some red. I used to be afraid of using red in my artwork. I was just. I just feared red because it's just so in your face. I have learned to love red. So usually my sketching is really more architectural based. I'm just kind of trying something a little different the past few days, just throwing down kind of random stuff just to see what comes out. So it's good to experiment, try different things, push yourself a little bit. I'm missing my architecture lane right now, so I'm. I'm feeling that. But that's okay. That's why I'm trying something different. And I might find techniques or things here I can apply to the architectural sketching world. All right. Hey, have a great night. Take care. It's great seeing you. Take care. Appreciate it. Nothing else Matters is my fave, but also losing my religion. Oh, yes, you. So you do know them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would agree with you. I like Forever Young by Gregorian. I think that was a Rod Stewart song. I'm seeing a face here. I'm actually making a face out of this. A profile. Very cool. Thank you so much, guys. Good. And I'm out of here in, like, two minutes. Yeah, I'm not cray cray with this, but I'm just having fun. That's all that matters. I need a little more. A little more structure. So adding these straight lines is adding some structure to what was kind of still very chaotic, but it's adding a little bit of Organization. Think of a city layout. Think of New York City, right? We have say midtown versus downtown. Midtown, you know, Manhattan, all the grid. This, the streets are laid out in a grid pattern and you get to the downtown area, Wall street, etc. You have. The streets are no longer a grid. So it feels more chaotic or more organic. The grid as structure. I felt like I needed some kind of structure on here, so that's why I'm just scoring these lines on. Alright guys, I got two minutes. Let me know if you have any final questions or comments. Kinda hold it up. Does it look like anything familiar? No. And that's cool. It doesn't. That's fine. That wasn't the goal. Do I love it? No. Did I have fun? Yes. And that's the point. Is it helping me to wind down for the night? Yes. It's helping to change my brain, my state of being. So is it a success? Yeah. I had fun and it's helped me wind down and that's all I really wanted this to do. But when it dries, I will come back and add some Sharpie. You can see the grid and texture. If I hold it up closer. Actually looks kind of. Actually before I head out, let me just throw a frame around it. I did find my frames the other day. Let me zoom in, take a last look, crop it out so. So even if I just like frame a little part of this, actually it looks kind of cool framed. I like the blue. Oh, all right. Now that I put this frame on here, here's what I'm seeing. I was just talking about nyc, right, the street grids. So this is not nyc, but what I am seeing is some kind of a map. Ish. A map. Blue. Could be the water. We can have some kind of street grid or city grid here next to the water. So maybe some kind of an abstract map. Let's move it here. Maybe something like that. So that's the fun thing about these abstract kind of sketches or sketch paintings is putting a frame around it and pulling pieces out. All right, it's 10:29. I'm gonna wrap. Guys, thank you so much for tuning in. I'm Jason with the inspired life. Be sure to hit that like and subscribe and all that fun social media jazz. Let's get this channel going. Let's get it rolling.
