I could never get bored sketching in the city because the city is vibrant, it's busy, lots of lines, lots of buildings, lots of this, lots of that. And I love just trying to break the world down, simplify that crazy, energetic, frenetic world, just try to simplify it in my brain by putting it down one line at a time on paper. Um, it's kind of my way of dealing with the chaos that's sometimes around us is by capturing it and processing it in simple shapes, simple lines. It's— I don't— I can't explain it, but it really is something that, that has become really an effective tool for me for processing the world around me.
