life for. I love sketching, love architecture, love design, and I love life. Um, quick, quick stream here. I'm just bringing you a New Year's Eve— Happy New Year's Eve, by the way, 2025— quick New Year's Eve stream. I'll show you where I'm at, real special location. Let me turn this camera around. Boom. Um, I am here at the Palace of Versailles. Where? In Versailles, France. And let's pan around so you guys can kind of see this. Uh, this is a fraction, a fraction of this megaopolis of an estate here. Um, I guess they're heading back towards where the bus is getting us. So feel free to leave comments, questions. I'll check this stream later. But yeah, uh, this has been an incredible whirlwind journey to France. I've been here— to Paris especially. I've been here for 2 days, headed home tomorrow, and, uh, I'll tell you more about why I'm here later on. But this is— I just want to say this trip has awoken, um, a part of me that's been gone for a while. And I've always loved, you know, I love design architecture, but You know, this reminds me of what architecture is, what architecture can do. It can really transform, uh, state of our mind, state of our being. It could symbolize many things here. Obviously it's a symbol of wealth, um, but this trip in general has been incredible. This and Notre Dame have really— and Eiffel Tower— really awoken my senses big time. But I just want to give you a quick peek on New Year's Eve here of Versailles. This was just a real quick trip for me here. I've only been here a couple hours and I've only scratched the surface of it. It's jam-packed inside, is incredibly, incredibly busy. So it was a quick walk through the building. Grounds, as you can see, are equally as busy, but it's just incredible. So let me know where you're watching from. Feel free to say hi in the comments. I don't know if there's anybody watching. Gigi! Hey Gigi, that's awesome to see you. Hope you're well. Hope you're doing well. Sorry I'm missing the NYC live streams, but, uh, I'm out here in France right now. It's really amazing. Sorry guys for the shaky camera. I don't have a gimbal. I am holding the phone in just walking with it. Um, you know what I'm missing? You know what I did not bring today? Always have it with me, and today I left it in my room. So when I actually had time to sketch today, uh, would have been the first time since I've been here I've had time to do some kind of sketching. But anyway, I'm videoing, saying, checking, saying hello. I can't read all the comments right now because the sun glare on the screen. Hope you— towards the exit. Um, I'll keep you guys here. Enjoy the shaky ride. The scale of the places I've seen on this trip have made me feel minuscule. I'm walking out towards the main entrance where you guys will be able to see the front of the building, so if you stay It kind of puts things in perspective, you know. We as humans have a specific, you know, a short amount of time on life compared to these buildings which are outliving us. I mean, of course we can maintain them, but it's just wicked, wicked incredible. Take a look here, guys. And I'm talking a lot. Bonjour. I'll just come over here. You can see some more of the building. Okay, so this is Versailles. Um, this is kind of the front area here. I actually have to go down to the lower gate down there to meet my group, but I'll show you. Just want to take a look in here. Hey Gigi, I did! I went to Montmartre, it was, uh, spectacular. Well, Mara, it was an incredible experience. Um, we were there at night, it was pretty cold, so we didn't— I didn't get to spend a lot of time there, but it was astonishing. It was just— the vibe there is unique. I love it, love it. Here, you guys can see these cool gates here. Stop. Nicole Dyer, good to see you. Hope all's well. Thanks guys for bearing with my shaky hands here. Again, I don't have a gimbal, I'm just kind of walking and holding this thing. My hands are a little chilly. Um, go down here, this is kind of where the main entrance is, down this way. So yeah, let me know if you have any other questions or comments. My highlights have been this Versailles, Notre Dame. I was there last night, didn't go inside, but let me tell you— my hair is a mess, I didn't do my hair, guys, sorry. Notre Dame is an amazing, amazing structure. Wow, it's really bad. Um, I was speechless last night. I was outside there at nighttime, so it was all illuminated. It was spectacular. I have to be honest with you, it almost brought tears. Well, I did bring a tear to my eye last night. Just being in front of that incredible iconic building was spectacular. Um, so do a little hike and mic session as I walk walk out and just kind of riff a little bit. So I think sometimes we take the built world around us for granted. Um, buildings, architecture, and design have a major impact in our lives, and a couple different ways. I think some of the most successful buildings we don't even know are impacting us. Um, we walk into a— maybe see it— maybe say a children's hospital and has a real special vibe to it, a real peaceful vibe to make children feel happy. Um, yeah, so it's kind of doing its design, its function, we don't even know it. Then you come to places like this where it's kind of in your face. You know what this place is about. So design really, really can impact us on so many different levels. Obviously, that goes from everything from buildings to fashion reminded of, uh, that kind of power. Here's a, here's a great shot on the way out. Gigi said after the fire must have been emotional. Oh, Notre Dame, 100%. Yeah, um, but let me tell you, there's still— it's still not finished finished. There was scaffolding and work going on, I guess, when I was there yesterday. But they're, you know, they've rebuilt it and they try to bring it back to what it was before. So there's a restoration work. Um, they do have to add some new stained glass windows there. Um, but the main— I think the main window, the big rosette or oriel window on the front, is staying, right? Which is kind of cool. Come over here. Thanks guys for watching. So stay tuned when I get home, uh, next few weeks I'll I'll be doing some live sketching streams and we'll definitely be— I'll be sketching Notre Dame online for you guys, at least my take on it. Uh, we'll do some sketching maybe inspired by Versailles. Yeah. All right. Very, very cool. I don't know if you have any other last questions or comments, please feel free to say it. Feel free to say hello. Before I go. My hands are cold, sorry. Here, check this out. You can see the moon over here. That's kind of a cool view. You guys see the moon up in the sky? And tonight we'll, uh, New Year's Eve here in Paris. That's actually going to be very cool, and, um, I'm looking forward to it. And I'm looking forward to getting home as well tomorrow afternoon, so that'll be nice to see my family, my pup. Um, yeah, thank you guys so much for watching. I appreciate y'all. Feel free to hit that thumbs up button, subscribe, all that fun stuff. Let's I, yeah, I wanted to end here with 1,000 subscribers. We got close, so thank you guys. I appreciate your time you put in. Um, we'll get to 1,000 one day, but in the meantime, I appreciate you guys for who you are, for your time and your support. Thank you so much. Uh, until we meet again, sketch boldly, live creatively, and inspire endlessly. All right, peace out from Versailles. That was kind of a cheesy ending. Au revoir. Au revoir. I'm learning. I don't really know much French. See you soon.
