The biggest mistakes I made throughout that business, we scaled really quickly. So within nine months, I quit my day job. Within 18 months, we have 14 team members. I avoided looking at money. I just saw revenue as all my money. And I didn't see outgoings going from 10k months to 100k months. That's an identity shift. And I didn't have time to figure out who I was because I was so busy working to sustain the thing that I'd built. And it was doing a lot of damage to. It was doing a lot of damage to our marriage. I'm a people pleaser by nature and that's a lot of responsibility to be responsible for. We had 130 clients and I have 14 team members. And I was trying to make everybody happy. And the only person whose happiness was sacrificed in the journey to try and make everyone happy was my own.
You finally, for the first time in your life, you probably had to put yourself first. And what did that feel like? Yeah, it feels like, what kind of advice would you give to someone who's like, at that point.
