This System Took My Client From $10k to $50k Months (Here's How)

Tim Frey and Steph break down how clients scaled from $10k to $50k months: pick one offer, lock one lead source, run ads early, and systemize your sales calls. They show the math for a $2,000 offer and stress tracking weekly call targets and consistent selling to push through plateaus.

MrBeast did like a thousand videos before any of them actually work. Everyone's like, oh, I want to be Mr. Beast. It's like, are you willing to do a thousand videos that no one watches that suck before you actually get a result? So let's say you post on Instagram and you repurpose to TikTok and you repurpose to LinkedIn and you repurpose to YouTube shorts. Sounds very clever. However, it's not very clever because are you sitting on all those platforms every day responding to the comments and the DMs and the conversations that are being started? You don't even have the capacity to message all the new followers on one platform, let alone actually maximize the leads you're going to get from the other platform. So until you have a team or a. A system in place that you can roll out across multiple platforms, do one thing, get really good at it, and run some ads.
Welcome to episode 103 of the Success School podcast. Today we're talking about the system that built a 50k a month business. We're gonna give you heaps of examples today. Steph, how you feeling?
Pumped to be here. I feel like I have lots of time freedom and I feel very well satiated. And the reason I feel very well satiated is because we have recently resubscribed to HelloFresh. This is not an ad, although I would love sponsorship. So reach out if you know someone at HelloFresh. The reason we've gone back to HelloFresh is cause it turns out I'm just a bit of a shit cook, so. And when I'm time poor, I'm not actually that time poor, but I don't prioritize cooking. And so what happens is that it comes to the even and I'll be like, oh, the chicken in the fridge is off. So I guess we're gonna. Do you wanna go out? And it's not good. And not only that, but oftentimes we won't even go out. So what I will do is I'll just cook the world's crappiest tacos instead with like whatever we've got in the fridge. And it hasn't been that great. Like, considering I should be learning this, I wanna learn this. I'm not that good at it. And so HelloFresh is gonna give me the tools and the resources to do this well. So I am proud to say that I'm getting the help that I need.
I'm so excited.
I. I'm sure you are.
I'm super pumped what's yours? Well, my update, it's a bit of a conspiracy, so let's get into the conspiracy. So some segments of our audience would say Australia is heading down a dark path economically, politically, socially and there is a need for an exit plan. And I have been doing consulting work with a bunch of companies recently, so building their ads, setting up their ads, like just higher level stuff with big companies. And I've just got a recent consulting gig where we're building a marketing strategy for a company that offers exit plans. And what an exit plan is is a banking structure, residency and essentially like how to move your family out of Australia if shit does his hit the fan. So the, the word on the street is the tax system in Australia will be changing for the worse, especially for the entrepreneur in the future. So a lot of people with money are going to want to find out how to get out and pay less taxes. So that's where this business I'm working with is kind of capitalizing on that. So it's cool. I can kind of put my tinfoil hat on and write really cool ad copies around all this stuff, which is great because I love it and I am the ideal avatar for this as well. So it kind of works out really well. But yeah, super exciting. Something to really think about is like how can you actually maximize your taxable income or your, you know, tax position in other countries and where can you live and how does that work and what happens there? There's so much to.
Yeah.
That I don't even know and I haven't known. It's been such a cool process to go through.
Yeah. What a cool like thing to work on. And it's going to be really interesting to see how the Australian government goes with you running ads like that. That's going to be like really interesting to see what blocks come up. It's going to be fascinating to, to run that process. But it's a cool consulting gig and a really cool business and we love doing stuff that's different. So that's awesome.
Steph, do you want to tell us about today?
So we're talking about the system that built 50k months and I wanted to say like 50k months sounds like a random amount except it's not because a lot of our clients reach 50k months very quickly and we've reached obviously 50k months a few times over now and now we're obviously quite a lot more than that. And I think 50k months is like the first milestone. I think it's 50k months. I think once you get there getting to 84k months, it's a bit of a jump. But then from 84k months to 110 is pretty easy and then from there it's pretty hard to scale to the next level. It takes a bit of time. But recently we had a heap of clients that went from 10 to 50k months or 12 50k months. We got Sherry, Ang, Rach, Tom Hides, like a list of heaps and heaps of them, but they all use the same kind of system, pretty much the exact same process. And so we're going to talk you guys through exactly what that process is today so that you can replay this in your own business. What do they need to know about this?
The first one in particular, it's not luck or talent, it's actually just a step by step system that you guys need to install in your business. Secondly, our most successful clients do the simple stuff on repeat. They do it over and over and over every single week. We did speak about it on episode 100, 101. The success of your business relies to the simplicity and the stuff that you do consistently.
Every single one of these people that I just mentioned and every single one of the clients that have scaled past 50k months and we have tons of them, sells weekly as a non negotiable. Like in fact, most of them sell daily as a non negotiable. So they're showing up on their stories, they're showing up on their social media, they're selling in emails, it pretty much does not stop. And then last but not least, they keep going even when the results aren't showing. So a lot of them will get from 10 to 30k a month pretty quickly. And then sometimes it stalls around there because what got you here won't get you there. And they need to implement new Systems and new SOPs and get some stuff off their plate. And at that point you can kind of get stalled at around 30, $40,000 a month and it could be really frustrating and a lot of people at that point quit, they go backwards, they go, oh, I think I'm going to try a different type, I might go low ticket, I might try a different offer, blah, blah, blah. But what really you need to do with that moment is you just dig your heels in and you need to stick it out because your next big win is just around the corner. So we're going to go through a bit of a step by step strategy here.
The first step is you need a weekly call target. So without sales calls or a conversion mechanism or a way to sign up clients, you'll have no money. And honestly, that's the most important part of this, is just if you know you need 10 calls and then eight of them are going to show up and then you're going to sell four of them, that means you're going to get four clients. You need to know that every single week. And that has to be your number one KPI. It's like, how can I get those 10 calls or 5 calls or 6 calls or 20 calls or 30 calls or whatever it is. Is that ads is organic? Is it email? Like, what is the system? And you have to build this into a. Bonus points here. If you build this system and it doesn't rely on you, okay? And that's where the cool stuff with Facebook ads comes in, is because you can build a system that does not revolve on you and does not rely on you and how you're feeling in your energy, and it just kind of runs 2, 4, 7 without you. So you have to know this number and you have to know how many clients you actually need. And then you need to reverse calculate that to how many calls you need and then close rate and all that good stuff.
And Tim, how do you build a system? I know that's a big question, but like with this system, like, you know, to get sales calls, books. So let's say someone needed 10 calls booked a week, right, to be able to sign three clients. Let's say what is the system? Are we talking about organic? We're talking about ads, we're talking about emails. And when we talk about systems, are we talking about like a CRM or how's that work?
Yeah, so I guess I'll go into the nitty gritty on this because we got some time. So first thing I would do would be share client results on your stories. And the CTA would be like DME to talk about how we can do this for you. So that's the first system. And then I would have that system executed by VA so it wasn't relying on you. So every day sharing a win or a story and then they book in. Secondly, I would be making organic content around pain points, problem solution content, trust building, client results, case studies, that kind of stuff. And then in the cta, I would say, hey, linked bio to book a scale session. We could do that. So they're two things that are driving towards booking course. Then thirdly, I'd be boosting those posts. So $5 a day on organic for six days a week. Fourth, I'd be running email campaigns. So I'd be reusing the organic content, writing email, sending to my list five to seven days a week. CTA on that is book a call. So there's already five systems driving towards calls. Then I would be running a lead generation campaign of a lead magnet. Once someone downloaded, I'd be calling, texting, emailing them and asking them to book a call. So that's the main ones that I would run. Does that answer your question?
Absolutely. Thank you so much. So we're not talking about a CRM. We're not talking about Dubsado or go high level or any of these things. We're talking about actual processes that somebody, I e not you can run as much, often daily as possible to be able to generate leads and sales calls.
Yep.
Beautiful. I love it. So step two of the step by step strategy that builds $50,000 months is to lock in one core offer with clear outcomes. So I know we spoke about Jasmine a couple of weeks ago and she's the perfect example. And there are a lot of other examples that work really well like this. I think we spoke about Blake as well. He's done it really well. But don't juggle three week offers. When Jasmine came to us and shout out to Jazz, but she came to us at eight different offers. We've narrowed that down to one offer and within 60 days she made $25,000 in cash in sales. So she was not making that before, just to be really clear, because her offers were everywhere and she was marketing everything and everybody was confused. I didn't know what she sold. Now she speaks to one offer which is for one ideal client, which solves one major problem. Right. And it has an incredible promise. I think her promise is like something like I'll help you find 100k in 100 days, which is really cool. It's a cool promise and she does it. It's a really good system. It's a really good process that she runs because she can promise that within that business, people want what she's selling. We see it one a lot of weak offers, people being too scared to actually put a promise behind their thing and too scared to actually just go after helping clients in the way they most need it.
Number three or step three is one clear lead source and then once you've got that locked in, run ads. So I did talk about it, but I feel like a lot of people, especially under the 50k month, they're like dabbling in LinkedIn, they're dabbling in TikTok they're doing some ads, they're posting on their stories, and they haven't just locked one thing in consistently. Yes, you can repurpose content, but that repurposed content has to be all in on one platform. So I would rather a client of ours go all in seven days a week on Instagram and then add another set on Instagram rather than starting again with another profile somewhere else where they've got three followers and they're your mom, dad and sister. So I think you need to get really specific on the one channel, lock that in. Then if it is Instagram or whatever it is, boost it and then take the content from there, your best content, and then run that as ads. That works really well as like a simple structure. So you could take your best three posts from Instagram, you could turn them into lead magnets, get the leads, call the leads, or you could run them as like book call campaigns or whatever it is. But you have to have a clear way to get clients or a lead source. And that doesn't have to just be social media. I was speaking to Cindy the other day and she buys lists and buys leads. Some people buy email lists, some people do cold calls, some people do outbound calls, like, whatever that is. You just have to have that one that brings in the consistent amount of calls that you need every single week. And, like, stop trying a million things and trying to do all everything at once. If your one thing isn't working. And that's where we see it go wrong time and time again is they just dabble in everything and they don't nail anything.
Yeah, if it's not working, get better at it. That's because all things work, right? Like LinkedIn works, TikTok works, everything works. But you just have to be good at it. I think Mr. Beast did like a thousand videos before any of them actually work. And everyone's like, oh, I want to be Mr. Beast. It's like, oh, you willing to do a thousand videos that no one watches that suck before you actually get a result? It takes years, dude. Like, if you want to get a result, it's not about doing more. I think we see a lot of clients that go, oh, like I'm going to post on LinkedIn and this. So let's say you post on Instagram and you repurpose to TikTok and you repurpose to LinkedIn and you repurpose to YouTube shorts, you repurpose to Facebook. Right? Sounds very clever. Very hormozy, very clever. However, it's not Very clever. Because are you sitting on all those platforms every day responding to the comments and the DMs and the conversations that are being started? You don't even have the capacity to message all the new followers on one platform, let alone actually maximize the leads you're going to get from the other platforms. So until you have a team or a system in place that you can roll out multiple platforms to make sure that if you are generating leads and interest on the platform, you actually have someone there engaging with them and starting those conversations to turn those leads into sales. Otherwise, do one thing, get really good at it and run some ads.
So, guys, you've heard what to do now, here's what not to do. So don't change offers every few months because yours isn't selling. Maybe it is a marketing issue or you're just not pushing it hard enough. Don't rely on how you feel. Focus on the numbers. This is all about data. KPI's number three is don't post content or make content without a clear call to action. So CTA could be book a call or it could be comment a word below and you start a mini chat flow or sequence with them. And then number four is don't wait to run ads. We see this all the time. A lot of people wait because they think they're not ready or they think their business is not ready. If you have a clear offer, you have a demographic, you have an outcome, you're solid on it, it gets results. You should be learning to run ads.
I wish I ran ads earlier. Like, I regret. I have a mad regret is that I didn't run ads when I was younger in business for two reasons. Ads were so much cheaper back then. There was way less people using them and advertising on them. I think we would have really crushed. I reckon we would have double the size, triple the size email list. If I just bit in the bullet and run ads earlier. Guys, we have no idea. We could be in an ads heyday right now you are not going to know for like three years whether now was the best moment to run ads, right? Like two years ago is the best time to be on Instagram, right? You just don't know until you're out of it. When you look back, you're like, oh man, do you remember how easy it was back then? So don't worry, wait to run ads.
And get some help on running ads, guys. So if you're just running ads and then you're like, ads don't work and they were just bad ads so obviously you guys know a guy. I can help with ads. If you guys want help with ads, please let me know.
If you join successful, you actually get an ads mentorship for 12 months with Tim, which is a phenomenal way to learn and understand ads, so that when you do decide to out the source them to an agency, you don't get ripped off and lose heaps of money. We have a listener question today. It's from Jamie. She said, how many calls should I be aiming for per week to hit $20,000 a month? Month.
Great question, Jamie. So let's math this out. Let's say your offer is $2,000. That means you're gonna need to sell 10 per month. And then to have 10 closes, let's say your close rate is 33%. You're gonna have to have 30 calls. So then divide 30 calls between four weeks. That's like seven and a half calls a week. So you wanna just math it out between your close rate, how much your program is, and then how much money you wanna make. You need to calculate people showing up to your calls as well. So there's another calculation that you need to throw in there as well. So that's gonna blow out a little bit. So, Jamie, I'd probably say you're gonna need to aim for 10 calls a week and that's probably conservatively. So you need to ramp up your marketing to meet that level. And what you guys will realize here is that, you know, most business is just sales and marketing. It is literally sales and marketing. We can't beat that home enough. It's like literally sales and marketing. If you're not doing that every single day, you're probably going backwards.
Yeah, absolutely. Okay, so the 62nd recap of today's episode is that success needs to be systemized. That you should have one great offer on one channel and one focus that you should track weekly and sell weekly and that consistency always wins. And that wraps up episode number 103.
