Woods Hole Research Center - A Pathway of Hope for Future Generations

Curiosity. It drives us. We are enthralled by the scientific exploration of life. We seek answers to the planet's most compelling environmental questions. How can we produce food while maintaining fertile soil, clean water and healthy air? Do tropical forests help stabilize the Earth's climate? Why is the Arctic thawing, and how does that affect us? How can human demands for natural resources be balanced with the needs of wildlife? This is our quest. We produce excellent science. The results reveal a deep understanding of how people and their environments are interwoven. They inform policies that sustain our planet and create economic prosperity. We remain committed to producing the knowledge and narrative for a pathway of hope for future generations.
