How To Build A Waitlist Funnel In ClickFunnels | Funnel Fridays #003

This Funnel Fridays livestream discusses how to build a waitlist funnel when you only have an idea (not a finished product). Hosts reference Russell Brunson’s Expert Secrets and describe using public commitments (announcing launches or creating waitlists) to force execution and involve audiences in product development. The conversation contrasts old-style secret product launches with modern participatory marketing and previews three waitlist funnel designs and a linked launch backend the team prepared.

Welcome to Funnel Fridays. For some of you, it's still mornings. From you, it's not. We're going a little bit later than normal, but welcome to Funnel Fridays. How is it going, everybody? We have Winter Jones here. Winter, how are you?
I'm doing great. How are you?
Doing great. Absolutely. Love. It's so. Sa. And what are we talking about today? Let's do funnel builds.
Does it say that on the email that goes out or do people know that what we're going to talk about?
No, nobody knows what we're talking about. Okay. Unless if you guys do know, let us know in the chat. Let's see, we've got Annette. How are you? Holly, how are you? I saw you earlier today. We have Jonathan. We have Robert, Gus, Michael, Lolita. What are we talking about today? Connie, how are you? Connie, what could it be? All right. Freezing funnels. Holly says no, no, not, not freezing freeze. Although hot chocolate funnels, I think. Okay, there needs to be. Do you remember the Aubon bone broth that Russell did? Oh, yeah. I might have an unholy amount of that left. And I have found, like a perfect way to make it, in which case it tastes like hot cocoa with like, with melted marshmallows. Wow. And like, I almost think I needed to build a darn funnel for it. But I don't know if we can sell it. So it's. We're gonna figure this out. It'd be so cool. Bone broth's amazing.
Be the first one to sell like pre mixed drinks into the mail. You know.
We'Ve only got a couple more weeks for Christmas, so. I mean, how cocoa. It is that time of year, but that's not what we're covering. We're covering something a little bit different today. And this was. This is an idea from one of our funnel builders. And it was actually a brilliant idea.
Nice.
How many of you read Expert Secrets? Who here is an Expert Secrets reader?
It's right. Right there.
That's beautiful. That's where it belongs. If not in your hands. I absolutely love if. Who. Yes, yes, yes, me. Wonderful. Okay. In Expert Secrets, Russell talks about creating an event and actually having people on. But what if your event isn't ready? What if your product isn't ready? What if you just have an idea? Can you build a funnel if you just have an idea? Yes or no? If you think yes, type in a one. If you think no, type in a two. All right. If you have an idea, can you build a funnel? We're getting lots of ones. This is great. And yes, you should always be able to build a funnel. What kind of a funnel would you suggest somebody build if you're like, I have an idea for something, I think it could turn into something amazing. What kind of a funnel would you recommend? Ooh, a wait list funnel. Jeji, Very interesting theory. Interesting. A product launch funnel. Anisha, that's wonderful. High ticket webinar. Winter. Interesting.
That was me.
Winter.
Probably not the best idea to do judgy.
Like you're quoting from Expert Secrets. This is like the. What is your biggest question? It's the ask campaign style. Right? We've covered those before. We use Summit, so you can absolutely do something like that. And so yes. So Jesse, you hit it on the nail first off. And Dan, you just hit it again. We're talking about wait list funnels. We're talking about. Is that the name we came up with? Yeah, it was okay. I was like, wait a second, that sounds right. But I wasn't quite sure. We have created three different designs for waitlist funnels, but because the funnel team was so excited about this, they created your entire launch. Like pages on the back end too. We've got three different designs for you of not just the wait list page and the thank you page, but like a full on launch on the way on the back end. Because there's a strategy here. There's like how many of us have an idea? We're like, oh, I should do this. But I'm really not sure when. I'm not sure if I really want to. We all have those ideas. I've heard Russell talk about this. He talked about his self persuasion secrets, but he's talked about a whole bunch of different places. Like how many of us have had the idea for Uber or had the idea for, for, you know, for, you know, I don't know, Netflix or we had an idea for something and it's like I've had pieces of ideas in the past and we've all had like how many of us have had those ideas? Like someone took my idea. If you had that type of one in the chat, you're like, yep, I've had that before that's happened. Someone has stolen my idea from the ether. Russell's theory that he has said is that like it's very often that like he thinks the universe, God, however you want to put it, is dropping ideas of what needs to happen in order to help the system grow, how to help people learn and grow and change and how to help humanity. So he drops these ideas and then he waits to See which person actually picks up the idea and runs with it, and depending on how you pick it up and run with it, decides if you are a good enough steward for the next bigger idea. Like, were you actually willing to actually take that idea and run with it? And if so, better ideas will come and you'll be more and more successful. But the question is, are you going to steward the idea that you get? So for me personally, Jake, I'm going to let you talk about this and once. I'll let you get your opinion. The only way that I have launched in the past is if I made it public. I told my list and I'm like, this is. It's going live on this day. And then I'm like, oh, crap, now I have to do it. Like, there was no backing out. That's my way of doing it. And that's the only way I was able to do it. Jake, that's kind of similar for you.
Yeah, I actually had something similar too. And I've created a couple products and just that same concept. But I, I find it interesting now the way that marketing's evolving. Marketing used to be a secret, where you would develop something in the background and not tell anyone about it, and then all of a sudden you would just dump it on them. Like, Steve Jobs is the ultimate. I was going to say dumper, but that's not, that's not a correct term. But you get what I'm doing, what I'm saying. He literally would just be like, here's an iPhone. And all of us are just like. And would blow our minds. And it worked really well for a long time. We're in a day and age now where people want information faster and they kind of want to be a part of the process and do it with you. And I think vlogging and just, just that kind of content that we've absorbed over years in social media kind of gets people to the point where they want to be along the journey with you. It's really, really, really interesting. And there's always that biggest fear of, like, well, if I, if I talk about this, are people going to, like, steal my idea? Or they can do this or they can do that. It's just creation is hard. Like, someone could say, oh, I want to do that too. But actually creating it, producing it and pushing takes a very, very special person. Like the fact that Russell and Todd were able to create click funnels. It was a lot of work and takes a lot of time and a lot of effort and a lot of, like, sweat and tears. And so I. I think just pulling or bringing people along through the process is a really, really interesting thing. And I want to talk about something that's actually happening right now, and I want you guys to all pay attention to it, to see the marketing that's happening behind it. So how many of you guys have seen the movie Jumanji? There's Jumanji, the new age Jumanji.
The original age Jumanji. I was the video. Yeah.
Old school ones. The OG Right. But like the new Jumanjis with the Rock and Kevin Hart. So obviously, they're phenomenal movies. They're hilarious. They're filming Jumanji 3 right now, and I want to show you guys. Let me share my screen really quick.
Do they have a coming soon wait list page?
So they.
