Migrating Your Funnels to ClickFunnels 2.0 with Barnum PT | Coaching Corner #017

Rob, Todd Dickerson, and Tyson show how to move funnels from ClickFunnels Classic to 2.0 using the free Barnum PT Chrome extension. The process takes under 15 minutes: install the tool, copy each page, paste them into a new 2.0 funnel, then fix checkout forms, broken links, and images. They also walk through the new workflow builder and email templates.

Hey, hey, hey, good afternoon everybody.
What's going on, funnel hackers? How are you all doing today? Hope you're doing well. Welcome back to Coaching Corner.
Welcome back. Have you guys, have you guys, uh, got hit with spring yet? Because we have— we don't have spring yet.
What?
We got hit with it.
Yeah.
We just got new snow.
Oh, that's fine.
Okay, I'm, I'm over in, uh, California. It's sunny. It's been sunny since, um, I don't know.
Perhaps in Canada, for those of you that don't know, it's been sunny since December for you.
Well, our winter ended right around January, so that's all right. I've been enjoying it.
That's funny. Hey, where are you watching from? Have you got spring yet, or is it just more snow? We would love to know. Down here in the Texas area, it's nice and springy. Things are blooming. We have some roses out in the front and they're just in full bloom right now.
It's great. You got a rose garden?
Yeah. Well, just one bush actually.
Oh, okay.
Oh, nice.
Yeah. I have a sick memory of being a child crawling through rose bushes and it was a great time.
That sounds terrible.
There's the scars to prove it.
My back has not been the same. That's funny.
All right, how about we dive in? Okay, what are we talking about today?
Well, we, uh, you guys spoke and we listened. You know, we like to drive, um, you know, customer-driven development, customer-driven content, and we, we, you know, we talk about what we're going to show on these meetings and in these corner— in these coaching corners, and the one common thing that we all experienced this week and over the past couple weeks is people want to know how to migrate not only from Classic to 2.0, but from external services to ClickFunnels. So that's what we're going to show today because you guys have been asking for it, um, on individual calls, on group calls, in our Facebook group. We wanted to show you the best way to move forward and migrate over to ClickFunnels 2.0.
Yeah, stuff looks good, all fun stuff. Absolutely, it sounds like a great time. Yeah, plus, uh, you know, you're jumping over at a great time. It's always a great time. 2.0 is like better than it's ever been. And, uh, there's so much more you can do, right? If you haven't done it yet, we're talking about it. You should, you should do it. The water's warm.
Yes. And in case if you weren't aware, ClickFunnels is not just for the agency builders, like the funnel builders out there, uh, not just for people that want to build funnels for other people, but it's also amazing for you to build it for yourself and your own business. I had that conversation with somebody, uh, here recently, and she had a misconception about it. But yeah, pretty much it's better in like every asset.
Absolutely.
I feel like they just, they expanded it times 10 and said, here you go, just have fun with it. And that's kind of what happened.
That's what it felt like.
And the new funnel workflow builder is insane. Oh my gosh. I love it. I don't know if you guys have been playing around with it or if people in the community have used it. I think it's out to everybody now, but like I just saved like 20 clicks. Yeah, so much time. And now we have the automation templates, we have new funnel templates. Like, we are moving. It is a great time to move over to 2.0.
Yeah, a lot of fun there.
Yeah, you know, going back through this, the stuff for, for Classic, uh, you realize how many more clicks was for everything. You made a good point on that because we're in the, the funnel editor and instead of, you clicking on the side navigation where you can go from page to page inside the editor. You have to back out completely, then go to the other page, then you can make your edits, back out again, go to the next page. Save yourself— it's so much of a time saver. Yeah, that's great. Yeah. But anyways, uh, today we're talking about how to transfer your funnels, like Rob just said, from Classic to 2.0. And we're using a fancy tool called BarnPT. Uh, this is something that's— if you haven't heard of it before, basically it's just like a— it's an all-in-one tool that you can use for a lot of different things. One of the features is that you can transfer things from classic to 2.0 directly inside the platform there. There's other things like browser tools and extent— like you can map out how big an element is and you can see the styles on the page.
Well, we're not talking about that today, but I think there's an in-depth video that Ben Moot did on all the different features of Barnum PT. It is incredible. Shout out to Winder Jones, like, he is awesome. Um, but I'll add a link to that video in the, um, in the Facebook group, and you guys can check it out.
There you go. It'll be in the comments. Okay, post. Um, so yeah, we're gonna walk through the process, how this actually works, how to do it yourself, and, uh, really it's just a few clicks here and there, and then Bada bing, bada boom, you have a new funnel and a new platform. And that's it. That's our same funnel, new platform. There we go. Okay. Um, we'll also be walking through some things to look at after you transfer it. And as far as like what you need to be aware of, um, you know, things constantly are changing, things are getting better, but there are some things that you need to be aware of just to keep front of mind. So everything is functioning and converting as it would still in classic, uh, such as making sure buttons are set up properly still. Making sure that everything goes from step 1 to step 2, contacts being collected, all that fun stuff. So that's kind of what we're diving into today. Yeah, absolutely. Sound like a plan. Okay, so David, you wanna—
yeah, do the honors, show us.
Yeah, step on the gas.
Special shout out to Mark Harbert. What's going on, Mark? Thanks for dropping in.
Hey, Mark.
We're going to be showing how to move and migrate funnels easily from Classic to 2.0. We've got this question a lot. Okay, let's dive in. I'm into a funnel over here on Classic. And if you have not yet downloaded or installed the Barnum PT extension, then you'll need to do that beforehand. We have made videos about that, but also go to barnumpt.com if you haven't got it yet, it's free. And then it's just a Chrome extension. Okay. So get that installed. You'll see it up here at the top. There's some awesome tools. Can't see that, can you?
No.
Okay. A little bit.
Yeah. No, no, it's not that. I need to actually share my screen.
So you can drop down.
Okay. Give me one sec.
Oh, I see what you mean.
Yeah.
I got to share a different, not the Jeopardy music.
There you go.
Okay.
Jeopardy is my grandma's favorite show growing up. I remember watching that like every other day. It was great.
That's funny. That's funny. Okay, here we go. So once you have it installed up here, then you drop it down and we'll start to see all the different tools right there. Okay. The one we're looking at today is called Copy Page, and then we'll be also looking at copied pages. So how we do this is we just go to the funnel, we preview the page, and then we open up RPT Tools and click copy page and watch it do its thing. We verify that I, this page belongs to me or I have permission to copy the assets. Cool. Copy page.
Pretty simple. Couple clicks.
Pretty simple.
And now it's, now the page is copied. What was that, like 3 clicks?
Yeah. Amazing. And we'll go to the next one. Next. That's it.
There we go. You go to each page, you go to the Barnum PT tool, you click copy page, and then that's it. Then it's stored in Barnum so you can reuse it elsewhere, right?
Correct. Yep.
Exactly. Yeah.
That's it.
There's other use cases.
Is anyone using Barnum? Is anyone who's watching using Barnum? Put in the chat if you're using Barnum. Just put, I am in the chat.
I love this. Oh, cool.
See if we get any guys.
All right. Now, if you wanted to, you can actually open up Barna PT itself, click manage, and you can see your copied pages down here. And we can see the copied pages just imported right there.
They're all stored in there, which is nice. It's nice because you don't have to go back and do it again. It's just there.
Yeah.
If you happen to, if you want, you're like cloning the funnel multiple times in different workspaces, maybe. I don't know.
Yeah. So here we go.
I think what you just showed is actually important because some people might not know that you can copy all your pages. Yes, it's one by one, but go ahead and copy all the pages in your funnels at one time. It's not like a copy to clipboard on your computer that you have to paste in ClickFunnels, then come back. It's— you can copy them all at once. They get stored in Barnum, and then you can go to 2.0 and paste them in.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. So now we're over here in 2.0 in the funnel area. We're going to click on funnels and we're going to click on create funnel. In this case, we're going to create a blank funnel, start from scratch over here at the top right.
Is that the new funnel template? It is.
Yes. Lots of awesome things in here, Todd Dickerson. We don't have time for that today, but there's awesome things on your screen. I'm out of— yeah, there we go. I was out by 80%. Okay.
You're the only person I know who goes smaller.
I've never—
yeah, it was just too big. It's just too big. So, all right. Yeah. You can filter your templates by the outcome, grow your audience, grow your leads, host a webinar, or by the funnel type or by the category. So we have all sorts of different awesome templates in here now. Coming soon to a funnel designer. Creator near you. I think it actually might be live everywhere right now.
I think it is live. I think we launched this out last week. So are we going to be using this one? We're going to do starting from scratch.
Starting from scratch. All right. What's the name of that funnel? Okay. Now, if you can't see your whole name of the funnel over here, click on settings and we'll go into TripleClick there, copy that whole thing and come over here and start from scratch. Triple-click there, delete, and paste it in there. And I'm going to call this Classic Import. Cool. Create model.
Mark, you just got a sneak peek then. It's— I think we just revealed something.
Mark doesn't have it. Oh, Mark, how do you not have it, Mark? Oh, I think we're rolling it out to like 50% of the time or something. 50% of people.
Uh, I'm not exactly working this end, but you were on the other side of the coin flip.
Yeah, I am too.
We snapped and you're on the other side.
So let's stay—
so we got the funnel. What are we doing here? We got a new funnel created. Now you're creating this new step.
Uh, yep. I'm just naming each one according to how it is over there, make it a blank page. And, uh, let's do one at a time. Let's go ahead and edit, leave it blank. And then we're going to open bar MPC Tools. Okay, and here we go. Drop down, copy the pages. The first page is down here. The most recent copied pages are up at the top left. So we're going to click on that first page and just watch it do its thing. Sit back, drink some coffee, enjoy your day, kick your feet up, let it do its thing. What's that do?
What it was supposed to do?
Yeah, go grab your, uh, welcome emails.
Go do a frosty mug.
A frosty mug of water.
Hey, that's actually—
that's Zevia. It's a root beer. It's a clean soda alternative. And there you go. Boom. Look at that. Pretty stinking amazing.
And these are built with ClickFunnels templates or elements. Yeah, it's built with ClickFunnels elements. So it's not like you're not using custom HTML, it's not pulling HTML and, you know, your styles from the other page. Well, it does, but when it imports it into 2.0, it converts everything into what 2.0 understands. Oh cool, it's using the exact— the, the sections, the rows, the elements, so you can It's, it's an experience that you're used to. You can go in and edit things, update things as you would as if you built it yourself.
Yeah. Now let's look at a side-by-side copy. On the right we have classic, on the left we have 2.0. Nice.
If anyone was scared to move a funnel before, what, what are you scared about now?
What are you scared of now? This is as easy as it gets, my friends. It doesn't always do it as perfectly as this, but it gets it pretty dang close. This one worked out perfectly this time.
It still saves you a bunch of going back and forth and trying to recreate things manually though. That's the biggest thing.
Oh, it's so nice.
Yeah, you have to do element by elements, or you used to. Now you can just do 4 clicks and you're way closer to actually having a live page that you already had. Plus the other one can still be live. Like, if you're still live in Classic, then it still is running there. It's not like you're changing that, and you have time to go through, make the adjustments first instead of 2.0. Make it look pretty again. Well, or just if there's anything missing or something needs to be updated, uh, now you can do it.
All right, so we're gonna— now we're gonna race to the finish, see how fast we can do it, just to show you, hey, you can, you can, uh, you know, uh, migrate your funnel from Classic to 2.0 in about 15 minutes.
Wow.
Less than that if you can We get done here early, we'll let everyone go, right? Like class, right? Like if we finish early, you guys can all leave. There's nothing else to show today.
You can, you can go, you can go migrate your files.
I think that's the point is how fast it can be done. That's it.
That's, I mean, there we go. And now there we go. Copy page. We're going to be done with this in 5 minutes, y'all.
That's wild. I mean, we couldn't do this a couple of months ago. The advanced, the using AI and the advancements that we've had. In the past couple months have really helped just like solidify this tool and make it just exactly what we need to have the migration be done in 5 minutes.
Yes.
And you don't want to think about rebuilding. You don't have to— I've been there before. It is such a chore to go to Classic and just pull all the assets off from one, you know, one, uh, site to the other and rebuild it. And this just makes it so easy. And then you get all the other tools in 2.0. You get all the other tools.
It's so 100%. So special shout out and thank you to Barnum PT and Winter Jones. Appreciate you, man, for putting this together.
This one, we're going through it. You can see the difference right now. See these small tweaks? There's like certain elements that need to be adjusted. The checkout.
Yeah.
It's one of them. In this case, it's separated into individual inputs, but that's an easy switch. It's one singular element versus individual input fields. Um, and that's it. It's really just a one switch over scenario.
Yeah. And then you do have to, you know, assign the links to things like right now, this button here is not going to do anything. It's set to go to, we would need to change the custom action link to go to custom URL and just come over here and right-click and copy link address, paste it right there. And we're basically done with that too. And we've got the order confirmation element there. Correct. Now one, oh, right-click on this other button here and go to custom URL. And it's pretty much done. I'm going to open that one up. Okay. Now there are a couple of caveats to be aware of. One of those caveats being the images. Are not stored in 2.0. They're still stored in Classic. Okay. So if you want to make sure that you never lose them, we would need to download them from Classic and upload them into 2.0. Okay. So you'll notice that the URL over here is clickfunnels.com and the 2.0 URL is myclickfunnels.com. So all we got to do is triple-click here. We're going to copy that, open up a new tab. Paste it, and now we can right-click and download that image, save image as, and now you can upload it into 2.0. Or you can come over here to Classic and then get all of the images with, uh, bar MPT itself, extract images, get them all at the same time.
Yeah, it's good. The whole thing, it just downloads it in one zip folder and you can just mass upload.
Yep, perfect. Easy as that, right? Uh, what else? Yeah, well, yeah, that's just one of the things.
So the images, yeah, definitely go through and double-check all those. You'll notice if you don't change them that after a while they'll end up like they'll disappear. They will The layout will stay the same, but the images will not stay there forever as far as what I noticed. So as long as you go and download the images using BarnPT, you could just do it in like 2 clicks there. Um, so what I—
yeah, so what I would do in this case, I would delete all of this and add the checkout element. So we don't need this, we don't need that, we don't want this, right?
Because these are— this is just a form from classic.
Yeah.
And in 2.0, we have this really great checkout element that you could use.
Yeah. So this to me looks like a one-step checkout with the order summary on the right-hand side. Okay. So we're going to do this and check out. Check out. There we go. And I would set this one to a single step. That way it looks just like it was. Cool. And we're also going to take a look at some of the templates just to see if any of these match the color scheme and feel a little bit better than the purple. I kind of like this bottom blue one here. Oh wait, we got more. I'm going to go with this one. Okay. Cool. And set it to one step. Cool. And we're going to delete this. Delete a whole bunch of these. The fighting element line here. Okay. Going to leave this. We can actually delete this one. Don't need that because the submit button is here. And what I'm going to do to make that look better is click on buttons. Submits, change that to complete order like it says. And we'll kind of make it look big. Complete order. How big is that? Inspector text over here, 34. Okay. Okay.
You just touched on another tool that's inside Barnum. Uh, the inspector. It's again, just like an all-in-one tool. That you can abuse.
And watch this. We're going to do another one. We're going to click on colors and copy. Actually, is it this one? I think it's that one. We're going to copy that color over here. It's that there. Oops.
See, we're already getting to the nitty gritty. Like if you wanted the funnels done, right? If you didn't want to change the colors, if you didn't want to change anything else, Like, you couldn't launch with the blue button, but now we're getting to just like the fine-tuning of, you know, the copy-pasting between the two platforms.
Yeah, and that's it, he's done.
It doesn't even take that long.
He's going— no, he did that in like maybe a minute and a half.
Uh, now we're just making it look pretty.
Yeah, now put on a TV show in the background, and by the time it's over you'll be done.
Yeah.
Yeah. Cool. And you can pretty much leave the rest. Now, if I was actually building this for a client, I would probably add some testimonials here on the right-hand side and maybe even like the value stack.
It's true.
You get more value stack. Yeah.
You see, you have all this white space now that you can fill with, with value. Like you said, either a value stack, testimonials, something else.
Add the code. Yeah, I'll need to do that. That'll be fun. Okay. I'm going to add a save.
Now he's just going crazy.
I'm just having fun with it, guys.
Yeah. It's fun building.
Can I pull this whole thing in? No, I can't pull that whole thing in. Sorry, that'll take too long. Is there anything else that you wanted to show, Tyson, or talk about? I know we brought up links. Oh, there's one. Okay.
Links. So you have links in the page. Yep.
Yeah, notice this on the right-hand side, we have classic, we have a link down here in the footer. In the text, it is going to Google, doesn't matter where it goes over here. But the point is, whenever it's brought over here to 2.0, that is currently not working. It seems to be a little bit of a break there. And even if you try and highlight that old text, it just flashes.
Yep.
Okay, so all we got to do is delete that and then just type it in again. And then come back over here, grab that and copy the link address. Make sure that your Chrome browser does not crash on you while you're doing it.
You got too many tabs open.
Hey, mine's been doing this a lot lately. I don't know why. I need to do something about it.
I wonder what the world record is for tabs open. Yeah, it's gotta be pretty high.
Boom. And then make sure that you turn it to open in a new tab. Okay. And now we'll go into save that as a universal section, universal row, footer.
Boom.
Now you can add that on all the pages and only have to change it once. One of the beautiful things about 2.0.
Uh, the other thing that we kind of touched on was the images. I guess we can just show that for a second, like uploading those images, the ones that you grabbed for this page and just reselect them. That's it. Because otherwise you'd still have the wrong, wrong image in place.
All right, let's see. So I did download those images. I'm going to extract those. Anything we get up to us to collect. Okay. So now we're going to open up the library in 2.0. You can make a folder. I like to categorize them all, but this one I won't. Then just drag it over, upload. And click it. And there you go. Same image.
It looks the exact same. You won't even know anything changed. It's really just the destination. As long as it's held inside of ClickFunnels or you upload it, then you should be good to go. Yeah.
And you see now it's hosted in myclickfunnels.com. So that's 2.0. Yep. Cool.
Very cool.
It will live forever that way.
We pretty much covered it all. So the process isn't as daunting as it may seem. Really, it's just, you're going through you're copying and pasting again, put on a movie like Rob said, you know, something in the background to entertain you while you're doing it. And double-check your images, double-check your links, test it, and you probably do that within an hour.
Yeah, but while we're here, why don't we go ahead and showcase the new workflow template selector?
Okay, we'll get some time to kill.
Here we go.
All right, here we go.
So, uh, just before you do that, if you do need help with the migration over. I mean, you saw how fast David just did that. Send us an email, outreach@clickfunnels.com. We'd happily jump on a call with you and, you know, guide you through the migration. If you do need more support, we have strategy sessions where we can do the whole thing for you. If you have a more intricate funnel and it takes a little bit more time, happy to jump on calls and help you guys.
There we go. Great.
Hashtag ClickFunnels fanboy.
I want to see, Mark, I want to see you with a t-shirt at FHL this year with that hashtag on it.
Nice. That would be great. Okay. So what we're looking at here on the left-hand side is the new Funnel Builder, like 3.0, uh, the user interface. We've got all the different tools that we need up here at the top without you ever having to leave the actual funnel itself. So if we click on workflows, open this up, we'll be able to see all the workflows that are connected to each page in the funnel. And you can also add a workflow by clicking on the red lightning icon. We're going to do that. Now, normally you can go through and select any of the funnel, the templates that may already be here. You can add a new workflow, but what we want to show you now is this new tab right here called templates. Look at this. We got some awesome templates here for you. Okay. The indoctrination one is kind of like the first one. It's like a, how can I help? It's make every new subscriber feel personally welcomed with this 2 Email indoctrination sequence. First email reaches out to say hi and asks why they joined and what they need help with. 3 days later, a short follow-up email asks directly how you can help them to achieve their goal. Cool, right?
Yeah, I would, I would recommend everyone just take a look at these, see which one works for them. Uh, there's some really, really good templates in there. The one that I like the most is a little bit inconspicuous, the Seinfeld one. We were looking at that as a team today and it, it's just a great sequence to put in front of new leads. Well, first you have to send them like the thing that you promised them, but after you tag them and send them the free, the MIFKI, right? You send them the Seinfeld sequence and this gives them, I think it's a 5 or 6 day sequence of emails that brings them back to your offer that kind of hits some pain points, tells them a little story about why they should trust you. Why they need your, your whatever you're selling, and it brings them back into it. So it's a really good sequence. Um, but I'd love to hear what sequences you use the most. This thing is still being built out, right? We're still building out these templates that we're going to share with all our ClickFunnels users. So let us know what type of sequences would work best for you, what you need for, you know, for your funnels, for your automations, and we're happy to build them.
Yes, drop it in the comments.
Load us up or send us an email to outreach@clickfunnels.com.
Yeah, there you go. Okay. So here we are taking a look at the first one, the indoctrination one, and let's look at what we got so far. First email is giving you the subject and a template of what to say. Super cool.
That's stuff. Play around with it, guys.
And this is great because on our coaching calls, so many people have asked like, okay, I got somebody to opt into my thing. I need to build an automation. What do I do? How, like, what does that sequence look like? How many emails is it? Do I send them every day? Do I send them every 1 day, 3 days, 5? Like, what does this look like? So what we did is we found Russell's best automation sequences that he uses, and we built them as templates into ClickFunnels. So everyone now has access to it.
What else can we give you guys?
What, what else do you want? How can we make this easier for you? Let us know.
Are you not entertained? All right, let's talk about a couple of things here to make this workflow work. So we'll see two things we need to toggle on. Right here we have a highlight. It's kind of like a, hey, look at me. This workflow is disabled and will not run. To enable it, click the settings and toggle on the entire workflow. Okay, we'll look at this little toggle right here and toggle that on.
We're going off the rails here, guys.
This is one other way down the alley. One other way to leave people with questions.
Oh, all right.
So you can click on the settings, the 3 dots over there is the same way to get here. Okay. And then toggle that on and it is activated. All right. I'm done. Now we can talk about questions.
If you guys want to dive deeper into workflows in the future, we're happy to do so. Uh, just send us a message again, outreach@clickfunnels.com and, uh, let us know what you want to hear. What do you want to see? Yeah, what do you want to see us do?
And if you've not gotten your tickets to FHL this year, I suggest going and getting your ticket right now. It is going to be insane. I was in Vegas, I saw the space, I saw where this thing is going to be held, and it is going to be insane. It's going to be awesome this year. And I can't really say much about what's going to happen in the event, but It's gonna be nuts. Let's leave it at that.
Jelly always is.
I feel like that's— that's— you don't say much on that one. I feel like it's always over-delivered, man.
Hey, should we answer this question?
And FHL has always been my favorite. I'm so happy it's back.
Jealous. I'll go one day. What to do if I miss the start of the 5-day challenge? There are replays temporarily. In the backstage pass. So go to your— log into your backstage pass. The replays are up at the top under courses, I think, or whatever it is. Yeah, it's up at the top. Okay. DLP.
Okay. Yeah.
That's it for today, guys.
That's it.
Did you get some value?
Hopefully you enjoyed this. We had so much extra time left over after sharing over that funnel that we could dive into some other things. Hope you guys enjoyed. Um, we'll see you next Wednesday. Sounds good.
Cool.
All right, bye everybody.
All right, see everyone. Ciao for now.
Bye for now.
