Transcript of a YouTube interview with Ray Ortega (founder of Grada Software) discussing entrepreneurship challenges—especially finding the right customer and messaging—how AI is best used as a tool (not a replacement), and practical business topics like pricing, client types, and persistence. The speaker emphasizes that startups often neglect customer acquisition systems and that AI can help address that weakness.

The hardest part of being an entrepreneur and that is finding your customer, having the clarity to find the right customer, finding the right message to that customer, and then having the type of system that not only captures them, but also how to nurture them through email sequences and all that kind of stuff.
Our guest today, he is an AI automation expert. He's been a software engineer for like 25 plus years. He's also the founder of Grada Software, Mr. Ray Ortega. What's next with AI? What are you excited about? And does anything scare you?
I like the fact that right now it's a tool, it shouldn't be a replacement, it's actually getting dumber and it's.
Because it's all math and it's not really thinking, it's not anticipating, it's just running off the map.
I've helped startups build their companies and every single one of them, they talk about the product, they talk about all the things they're going to do as a business, but they never talk about who's their customer, where are they going to get them, how are they going to get them. And so that to me is like the weakest link. And so an AI is ripe for that.
When you trade time for money, that needs to be by far your most expensive product. You work with more expensive clients and they're working one on one with you. You're going to charge what you deserve to make. A lot of people do a one to many presentation and they're so used to having a cookie cutter offer. I would love for you to share that story about how that all kind of happened, just basically from persistence to.
Me, yes, that's hard, but like there's so many tools out there to find that information.
