In this first‑person video, Tony Stark Policci recounts his early‑morning routine and how he deliberately showed up for himself and others despite imperfect feelings. He wakes around 4 am, says a brief prayer, and heads to the gym for a leg‑day workout, consciously expressing gratitude for the ability to train. After finishing around 7 am, he walks barefoot in the cool, wet grass for fifteen minutes before putting on shoes and continuing a 40‑minute walk in the sunrise, listening to a teaching and staying present. He spends the bulk of the day with a friend he’s known for 35 years, practicing intentional presence, and later shares evening time with his family. When dinner is delayed past his usual 6 pm cutoff, he notices a brief irritation, catches himself, and redirects his mindset. He concludes that the day was successful, noting both the gratitude‑filled moments and the single area where he still needs to improve, illustrating the theme of showing up even when not perfect.

So let me tell you how I experienced the day this morning. I woke up, it was very early, a little after 4, and I decided that I was gonna go exercise, train, go to the gym. I didn't feel really excited about getting out of bed and getting up though. I did anyway. First thing I did was pray though. I say a little prayer before I get out of bed and Then after I, you know, while I was working out, I was paying attention to my mindset. What was I thinking about? And, you know, I was grateful for— well, let me be clear about that. I would intentionally speak gratitude about the opportunity I had. Like, I'm so grateful that I have opportunity to work out. I'm grateful that I can, you know, do these, like, that I have the strength to do this stuff. So for those of you that train, today was leg day, and leg day is not always a blast. But here's what I did that was really awesome, right? I decided that after I was done at the gym, I was going to spend some time in the morning sunlight. So by the time I got out of the gym, it was just barely 7 AM. Sun was up. It was nice and brisk. So I went for a half an hour walk barefoot, which was really thrilling because like 15 minutes in my feet were freezing because all the grass is wet. And I walked for half an hour and then I stopped, dried my feet off, put my shoes on and walked for another 40 minutes, but just took in that morning sunlight. And my I was listening to a teaching while I was walking and just really enjoyed being present and the sunshine and grateful for taking care of my, my body. And then I got to spend most of the day with a dear friend of mine, a buddy that I've known for 35 years, and just was very present and very intentional about being present. And then tonight, uh, spent time with the family. So, uh, a lot of things to be grateful for today and that I focused on. Um, and every opportunity that my tendency wanted to move towards an upset about something, I was able to quash it with one exception. And that exception was, um, I, I don't like to eat past 6 o'clock at night. Um, I just don't, uh, it doesn't fit into my schedule. So, but with what we were doing, um, with our family and the activities that we had, we weren't able to get dinner until very late. So, you know, I caught myself grumbling for about 3 seconds about that, and then I caught myself and reeled it back in. So it's a very good day, very successful, and still paying attention to where I have work to do and make progress. So that's the report for the day. Thanks.
