In this solo vlog, Tony Stark Policci reflects on a day that blended ordinary activities with intentional moments of discomfort aimed at personal growth. He begins with a sunrise barefoot run, noting how the brief physical challenge set a positive mindset. He then shares a relaxed dinner of takeout with his wife, highlighting the value of quality time and the ability to enjoy teasing without irritation. Tony reconnects with peers from a leadership program, emphasizing the importance of maintaining supportive networks. A notable encounter occurs in a bookstore where a courageous 17‑year‑old approaches him to discuss God; Tony, a lifelong seeker of faith, engages in a deep, respectful dialogue, admiring the teen’s bravery. Throughout, he reiterates his daily practice of seeking small discomforts—whether physical, conversational, or emotional—to push beyond comfort zones, believing that growth resides in these moments. He acknowledges incremental wins in emotional resilience and joy, and frames the vlog as a personal mindset shift rather than a performance for viewers.

After sundown, and the queen and I have just gone and gotten some amazing takeout from our, one of our favorite Italian places here in town. And, um, we only did that because there was an 80-minute wait to get a table, so it only took 40 minutes to get the food. But here's the thing, uh, today has been a good day. Got up really early, went out, caught the morning sun, actually did barefoot running for 20 minutes and had a very accomplished day today. Mindset was good. Caught up with some people that I wanted to talk to and got to reconnect with a handful of folks from the leadership program that I graduated from a year ago today and then joined into a a client's live stream ahead of her summit coming up next week. And, uh, wife and I got to spend some quality time together today, so that was nice. It was nice to, um, just have some time to decompress, still be productive, but not pedal to the metal all day long, right? So, what is my lesson for today? Not sure. I haven't figured that out. I did have an interesting conversation with a young man a few minutes ago in the bookstore. And I just— he came up to me and he wanted to talk to me about about God. And I imagine that a lot of people that he approaches are militant or resistant or rude. And, you know, I've been walking, you know, person of faith for over 3 decades now. Real deep study went from being raised in one particular faith to completely going the other way and being an atheist, and then through life circumstances and different things finding my way back, or maybe I should say God found me. But anyway, it was just really interesting because I asked this young man some very poignant questions and he actually knew the answers and we had a great conversation. But I was very impressed with him because I felt like he's courageous. He's 17 years old and he's out talking to strangers about, you know, one of the two topics that you say you're never supposed to talk about in mixed company, right? God and politics. But his courage and his demeanor was inspiring to me. And so I guess maybe the lesson for today or the thing that I'm thinking about now as the day is winding down is, you know, where, where am I in my life, like, taking those risks to try and— not to try, but to make other people's lives better or to have, you know, engaging conversations because part of, you know, really optimizing my life, optimizing my mindset and my health is having conversations that push me and challenge me, right, and stretch me. And I do something every single day to make myself uncomfortable, to try and push myself. And I'm still not to the point where I know I could be when it comes to like really being uncomfortable, because it's in the discomfort where growth happens. And, you know, I'm not talking about stupid stuff, right? Like, you know, intentionally hurting yourself or taking crazy, crazy risks. Just the natural tendency is to seek to be comfortable. Maybe that light will help a little bit. And, you know, there's, there's no growth in comfort. There really isn't. So, yeah, I don't have anything else profound to say. So I do, I do wish that I had some more comments from people. I know there's not a lot a lot of people watching these, but that's okay. This is not— this is for me, you know, this mindset shift is for me. And I did have quite a few wins today, actually wins with how I handled situations that in the past have been big disappointments. So Being able to really laugh and enjoy some of the teasing that my wife offered up to me today and totally like not getting offended or irritated by it, which I normally don't. Occasionally it happens, but just really appreciating how amazing she is. And I don't know, I I'm striving and working on being, being, just being different, being joyful. And I have little glimmers, glimpses of that where there's a shift happening, and that, that feels good. That's encouraging. So I keep going, I keep practicing. All right, thanks for watching. Have a great morning, afternoon, evening, or whenever.
