Day 46: Today didn’t start strong.

Tony Stark Policci woke exhausted and skipped the gym, but argues that showing up authentically matters more than feeling perfect. Energy fluctuates naturally, and bad days are storms that pass. Trust yourself, adjust your mindset, and keep producing value.

Hello, it's day 46 and I want to talk to you about this concept of being authentic today. So, and the reason why am I going to talk to you about that is because I'm gonna be very authentic with you right now. I woke up at 5 o'clock this morning. I did not want to get out of bed. I was exhausted, right? So, Didn't make it to the gym. Got up and took care of some other things in the house. Well, it is now 8:30 in the morning and I have basically accomplished just domestic stuff in the house today. And so, you know, the brain is already like attacking me. Like, what are you doing? You're wasting time, right? I'm not wasting time. I'm doing, actually, I did the best that I could with the mindset and the physical energy that I had this morning. And here's the thing, like the sun is behind me now, Just get up and do it. Like, just get up and do the best that you can. Like, sometimes you're going to show up with a 10 out of 10 level energy. Sometimes you're going to show up ready to just kick the world's ass. And some days you're not. But think about it. How many times have you picked yourself up, dusted yourself off, and kept going, right? How many times have you had some kind of a storm in your life and you weathered it and you got through it. Like, here's the thing about storms, they pass, right? And sometimes they are devastating and they leave this horrible mess behind that gives you an opportunity to grow, to recover, to rebuild, and make things actually better than it was before. Sometimes they tear stuff down that was great and you mourn it, you lost it, and you miss it, but then you move on. Well, in a very small kind of way, like every single day is like that. There is absolutely no, like, relation to how great you crushed it yesterday with what's going to happen today and how are you going to crush it today. Can you repeat the behaviors? Can you repeat the decisions from one day to the next? Sometimes, yes. But, you know, like, I don't feel like I'm, you know, a 10 out of 10 today. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to show up and give it my all, right? As soon as I'm done walking, I'm going back into my office, I'm going to sit down at my computer, and I'm going to start doing the things that I do best and creating results for my clients, making things happen in my business. Are there like really crushing circumstances on me right now that I need to resolve? Yes, there are. And does it steal my hope and want to steal my joy? It tries. It really tries. But I get to adjust my mindset, have faith, trust in God, trust in myself, and do the work. So how does this tie into authenticity? Are you being authentic in your life? Are you showing up as the person that you really are to your friends, to your family, to your client? And what I mean by that is, like, are you— don't try to be something you're not in order to get the approval of people whose opinions don't matter to begin with, right? Like, bring what you authentically can that is good, that is noble, that is beneficial, that has value to other people into the world. And trust that that'll be enough. And you're going to attract your tribe. You're going to attract the people that resonate with that, and you're going to repel the ones that don't. But here's the thing: you don't have to be for everyone. I don't have to be for everyone. Like, there's a lot of people that may watch this and feel like, this guy's crazy, whatever, wackadoodle, or he's, he's, he's ADD, doesn't make sense. I don't care, right? I don't care if there's people out there that are resonating with what I'm saying, with what I'm doing. That's awesome. I get to help those people. So you get to do the same thing, and authenticity is how that begins, right? So I'm authentically telling you how my morning started, where my mindset is today, you know, which has been— I kind of started beating myself up, got out, went out, I did the morning sun, I took all my supplements, I did all the things, Right? And I feel so much better than I did in the morning. But I was like beating myself up because I didn't want to get out of bed and go to the gym. And now I get to figure out how to do that later on today and figure that, work that into my schedule. But I'll figure it out. And it's not the end of the world that I, you know, didn't stay on my super disciplined schedule this morning. It's going to be fine. So, I hope there's something in there for you. And if there is, I'd love to see— I'd love to know what it is. I'd love to hear some comments. So thanks for watching and have an authentic day.
