In this solo vlog, Tony Stark Policci outlines his observance of the biblical Sabbath—a day of rest from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday—and describes how he intends to spend it. He plans a relaxed schedule that includes a morning walk, reading the book The Go‑Giver, a Passover Seder with friends, and intentional quality time with his wife while the children are occupied. He reflects on his lifelong habit of providing value beyond compensation, citing the book’s principle of “giving more value than you receive.” The core message he shares is a practical meditation on present‑moment awareness, illustrated with an analogy of having one foot in the past and one in the future, urging viewers to bring both feet together in the present. He emphasizes that while learning from the past and planning for the future are important, daily life should be lived mindfully in the now.

Okay, today, day 9. Today is going to be a chill day. It is— I celebrate a biblical Sabbath, so it is sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, so I don't work on Saturdays. A really tough thing for me to get used to when I started it a couple years ago. But so today I'm looking forward to just a chill day, a day of studying, renewing myself, resting. We do have a Passover Seder that we're going to tonight with some friends, so I'm excited about that. And, um, but really just looking forward to enjoying the day. I did get up this morning and get a little bit of the morning sunlight, and I'm going on a walk. It's currently like 9— oh no, about 8:40. Look on your phone, Tony. 8:45 AM. So I'm going for a walk here shortly, and then I'm just going to take in the day. So I feel good. It was a productive week, and I feel comfortable about being able to decompress and spend time with my wife. We've got one of those weekends where, you know, our kids are busy, so it's going to be the two of us, and I really love that. I love the time that we share together. And not that I don't love the time with my kids, obviously do. And there are times when I just want to be with my sweetheart and be just focused and present with each other. And that's what I'm looking forward to today. So, I did do some reading this morning before I got out of bed, and I'm reading a book that my friend gave me called The Go-Giver. It's really— so far I love it. But, you know, one of the things that it talked about was provide provide more value than you get in compensation. And I thought about that. I said, you know, I've really tried to do that my whole life, my whole career, is like give people value regardless of the compensation. There's— I mean, I do a lot of things for free for people. I have not charged many times what, you know, I could have charged or should have charged or worked out deals for myself. And that may not be great business, but I don't feel like anyone could ever say that I didn't give them my all. And— but there was— gosh, I got distracted. There was something I wanted to say about that. Okay, takes back— goes back to my wife. So being present with my wife and being in the moment, here's what I want to pass on to you today. Whenever you're watching this, whether it's this morning, um, whatever, like, be present in the moment. Stay in the moment. Um, like, if we're focused on the past or we're focused on the future, we are— this is a little bit crass, but it's kind of like you're peeing all over the present, right? If you Picture yourself in 3 squares, 3 quadrants, and the future is in one, the present's in the middle, and then the past is on the other. And you've got your feet, one foot in the future and one foot in the past. You know, what part of you is hovering over the present? And you can interpret that analogy any way you want, but moving both feet together and being in the present, not just today, but in the moment, is so important. There's absolutely nothing wrong with going back and looking at the past to learn from it. And of course, we want a future cast to think about what are our goals, what are our dreams, what are we striving for? But every day, the way that we live, it's about being present. And so today, I am focused on being present this day and to really take care and nurture myself. So hope that's worth something to you. Thanks for paying attention. I'll talk to you soon.
