Tony Suriano argues that hiding your achievements harms you and your community. He shares how he once avoided doing handstands in public to spare a wheelchair user's feelings, then realized self-censorship damages self-esteem. Celebrating wins builds confidence and inspires others.

My wife says this intro sounds like a conspiracy mystery. So I'm gonna cut the crap and tell you, this show is for you if you've felt like your life needs more direction, or you're just not having fun, or if you're a high performer like me and you love new perspectives and you always want to seek the next level. This is where we create your vision, break through your barriers, and find your magic. It is time. For you to direct your life. Hello, my friend. I'm Tony Suriano, and I have a question. Are you perfect yet? Come on, what's taking so long? Come on, just be perfect! No, really, I have a serious reflection for you today, and today I want you to know that you have a unique trait inside you, and the world deserves to sense that from you. So do not take that away from them. Do not rob them. That's what today's episode's about. The theme is for you. I want you to reflect on this. So let's start with a quote. Do not dare play small, my friend. Do not feel guilty because you have high aims. Those dreams were seeded in your soul for a reason, and it is your duty to honor them. Do not hold back in life just to comfort or placate those around you. I hope you're doing well today, and I have a question. Have you ever been reluctant to share something you're proud of because you think it will make others feel bad or inadequate? If you live that way, psychologists say that You'll be less happy, less likely to take on the next big thing, and rob the joy from others. Do not dim your light. Sharing your wins with people can boost the mood for both parties, create a sense of belonging, and reinforce your self-worth too. And everyone needs more of this, am I right? Most people will support your wins. And this makes you feel connected and happier. But Tony, what if they think I'm this or that? Don't concern yourselves with what others think, because I know you're coming from a positive space, and that's what counts. Plus, people are always looking for a reason to celebrate, so you might as well gift them that and create a positive feedback loop. Do not dim your light. I used to dim mine. I would not share my accomplishments. I was pretty much isolated often for years, and my happiness was not growing. So I started to figure it out, and I started sharing more. So I would stop doing one of my favorite things. I would do handstands in the park, but when I saw yes handstands in the park. When I saw a person in a wheelchair or some kind of person like that, I would think, oh, okay, I don't want to do this. I don't want them to feel bad. Let me wait till they pass by, you know. But for all I knew, that person could have been entertained by my goofy self. I don't want to rob them of that entertainment. I'm pretty good at handstands too. I can do some 360 walks and I could fall down on my face. So I'm sure it would have been entertaining. When you don't share the good things often and proudly, not jerkily of course, you are undercutting your self-esteem and overall happiness shrinks. And I'm here to tell you, your success counts. Your achievements are worth noting. Some ideas to get past this reluctance that so many of us have. Remember that being open with others can cultivate more authenticity, which is paramount in life and especially in the creative arts. You want to be more creative, want to do more, be more, and, and share more? You have to be authentic. You got to practice being more open with others. That helps. Be intentional. Not to shrink your magical self so that others are comfortable. Decide how you want to present yourself every day and decide you want to feel good about being yourself. You want to feel good about your wins. Know that the subconscious is always listening. I'm going to say that again. Know that the subconscious is always listening. So the more wins that you voice, the more confidence you gain. It stacks up, and without you knowing it, you're more likely to go to your next advancement, to do that next thing that you care about, but it's a little scary. But you know once you do it, you're gonna feel great. So please do yourself and everyone else justice and share your recent small. Or big wins. It's simple and it's awesome. You and I, we want to feel alive, connected, and go after our passions. So we must understand the momentum that community support gives us and not dim our light. And this momentum will take us to our next advancement. This is all coming from the heart, from me to you. I know this day is gonna be great for you if you allow it and you share your wins. So get out there and do it. Thank you so much for being part of this community. We can't spread the creative essence that the world needs right now without people like you. So thank you for being a curious creative right along with me. Thank you. Hey again, it's me, Tony. I hope you enjoyed the free show and I hope it served you.
