In this solo motivational podcast, Tony Suriano introduces a simple yet comprehensive framework—philosophy, attitude, actions, results, and life—to help listeners consciously direct their lives. He opens with a vivid metaphor that today is the first day of one’s life, encouraging a fresh perspective on everyday experiences. Citing the World Happiness Report, he highlights that only 20‑30% of people report high life satisfaction, positioning the listener as part of the potential 20‑30% who can improve. Suriano explains that a person’s philosophy (the core belief or metaphor about life) shapes their attitude, which drives actions, leading to results that ultimately define one’s life. He reinforces this with a garden metaphor: rich soil (philosophy) supports the right seeds (actions) and yields a healthy harvest (results). A personal anecdote about waking up early for his wife illustrates how a small shift in philosophy can improve mood and behavior. He then gives two concrete steps: (1) identify life domains (finances, relationships, career, etc.) where the listener’s philosophy needs adjustment, and (2) for the next three days, write new empowering words or phrases to adopt as a new philosophy. The episode concludes with a call to review, share, and subscribe to his newsletter for further exclusive content, emphasizing that directing one’s life also involves contributing to others.

My wife says this intro sounds like a conspiracy mystery. So I'll stop that voice and tell you this show is for you to get you on the track you want for your life. I'm going to share encouraging educational content, hopefully entertaining, that will help you direct your life. Today is going to be the best day of your life. You know why? Because it truly is the first day of your life. Because our past is just a thought that could have happened, right? So imagine if your philosophy was that today's the first day of your life. So when you see that traffic that's annoying, it's the first time you see it. Wow. Colors, shapes, cars. Dang. Someone thought about making a car, created a factory, and then the thought became reality. That's a different way to look at it, isn't it? Okay, I want to share 3 major life dictating elements with you today through a framework that can help you remind yourself how to shape your life how you want it. Then at the end, I'm going to ask you to take 2 steps. That's it. That can help shape your life. Let me start with this stat. World Happiness Reports. You can look it up. World Happiness Report says 20 to 30% of people, only 20 to 30% of people worldwide are considered very satisfied with their lives. Why that's important, that is important because it could happen to you. You could be the 20 to 30% or the rest. And if you're listening, you know you're the 20 to 30%. Or less. There's a framework that has helped me so much, and I'm gonna get into it. And there's 3 elements in this framework that's important, and you need to think about your own life in certain categories, whether it's finances, relationships, your family, your career, your goals. Where in life could this apply? Here it is. And this creates your life. This is the framework. Write this down if you have a pen and paper. If you're driving, really focus. This is important. Your philosophy equals or creates your attitude, your actions, your results, and that creates your life. Your philosophy creates your attitude, actions, and results, and that creates your life. And when I'm saying philosophy right now, it simply means how do you look at life? What is your metaphor for life? I often say life is magic, and it helps me see things differently and take different actions, think differently, feel better, and get different results. The results that I'm more likely after because I have intent. And the philosophy matters so much in your life. Is it an adventure? Is your life a drain? Do you feel like, oh man, it's another Monday. Life is a B and then you die. Have you ever heard that? That's crazy. People say that, hey man, life's a B and then you die. And guess what? Their energy is a drag and they're draining people. And guess what? They're attracting all that stuff that doesn't empower them. It disempowers them. Why? Because their philosophy, it's askew. And I'm telling you, this is something we all need to focus on. We slip all the time. We need to get back on track. This morning I was waking up. I drive my wife to work on Monday and Wednesdays. She currently doesn't drive, and it has me waking up a lot earlier than I'm used to. Okay? I am a 9:30 to 10:30 AM waking up kind of guy. We need to be out of the house earlier. So she caught me and I woke up and I made this noise. Ah, have you ever made those grunt noises? Those noises that shout, I don't want to do this. Well, I did that. And then she yelled from the other room that, that makes me, that peeves me or something funny like that. That when you do that, it's not good. Whatever she said, it did trigger me. And I was like, okay, at first I was a little defensive in my head and I said, well, this is waking me up. I'm a lion. But I didn't do it as a fun way. I did it to be truthful in a little bit of a begrudgingly way. So if I can just shift my philosophy for the times I do need to wake up earlier than usual, Just something a little more like, all right, this is another chance to do something a little earlier. See the day earlier. See the sun earlier than usual. Okay, let me make a fun noise. And for instance, maybe I can make this noise tomorrow morning and I can go, yeah, you heard me do it. Okay, that's my fun, my fun little noise. Why am I telling you this? Because The philosophy helps with your attitude. So I have that fun little morning noise and I'll be in a little better mood and my actions will be more pleasant for the people around me. And that counts because that, that really is important to me. What energy am I bringing into the room? What energy are you bringing into the room? This Is something we need to think about. Now, this framework, the 3 elements, your attitude, your actions, and your results. Doesn't that just sum up your life? You have a good attitude. You're going to tend to make actions that align with the things you need and want in your life that make it better. And then you get the results that you deserve. Now I want you to think about life as a garden and you are the gardener. Let's try this metaphor. So the soil is, let's say, the philosophy. And if it's rich soil, really good soil, you're, you're a gardener that wants the best. So you find the best soil, you mix it right. And It's full of empowerment. Then guess what? You put the right seeds in, which is your action. You're taking the right action. You water it, you're doing everything, you're tending to it. And then plants and vegetables grow. That's your results. And you could reap the benefits. On the other side, if you don't really care so much about your garden, you think about it as a task. Oh my gosh, I don't wanna, Ah, you make the noise I made this morning. You're going to probably not put the right soil. You might put some toxic soil. And then guess what? Even if you happen to put the right seeds in and you happen to be watering, maybe that's not right for the season. And then you're watering and watering, watering. Nothing's growing except weeds. Who wants weeds? No one wants weeds unless, you know, you're, you're celebrating on the weekend in the mountains. No judgment. Ha! Did I get you? Did I catch you? Did I break your pattern? Listen, write this down if you haven't already. If you're driving, again, deep focus. What areas in your life can you apply this to? Your philosophy equals your actions, your attitude, your results. That equals your life. It is so important. That's why I said it 5 times already. I know you know this, but are there areas in your life? That's step 1. I want you to think about that. Which areas in your life do you need to adjust your philosophy so you can live a better you and you could step into your next level? Not because you're not enough, but because it's fun and incredible to expand and grow. We all can remember moments in our lives When we grow, we were challenged, we push through, we feel better, we do better, and we give more. Think about that. That's step 1. Step 2, write down for the next 3 days new words, new phrases that can be your new empowering philosophy for those categories or just for your whole life in general. You can pick one, one broad one. Life is an adventure. Life is exciting. Life is a puzzle for me to solve because I am a solver. That will help your attitude, that will help your actions, and you'll get the results you deserve.
