The Fastest Way To Write Blog Articles

A tutorial on using a custom GPT to write blog articles faster. The speaker walks through a workflow for generating and polishing content, with examples in real estate and lifestyle topics.
Hey, everyone, and welcome back. So, just in case you missed it, last week I dropped a full 30 day content calendar, one that you could honestly implement in less than a day and continue to reuse month after month. Now, in my ongoing mission to simplify your life, this week I wanted to zoom in on one of the most important pieces of that calendar, the weekly blog article. Because here's the deal. Once you create that one piece of pillar content, you can then remix it into a ton of extra content like YouTube videos and Instagram carousel posts. So today I'm going to show you my AI hack, where in minutes you'll be able to write blog articles that don't suck. So let's just dive right into things. Okay, so the first thing that I do want to quickly mention here, a lot of the tips that I'm about to give you can really work with any AI tool you're using. Jasper Claude, Agent Fire's Content Magic. It doesn't matter. The key here is the mindset shift that you all need to make in order for your content to stand out, which is AI is here to assist us, not to replace us. Because what actually makes, in this case an article great is not the tool. It's going to be all that context and insights and the voice that you bring to it. So, yes, AI can do all the heavy lifting for you when writing the article, but you should still spend at least 15 minutes bringing in your unique insights and also polishing it all up at the end. That's what's going to separate just another AI blog post from something that actually connects. Now for today's strategy. We're going to be creating articles using a GPT that I built. I. I of course am going to link to that GPT in this post, but I did want to quickly run through how I set it up, just in case you want to build one yourself that better matches your voice. And when building your own GPT, it really all comes down to the instructions here. You can see that first I am telling the GPT the role that I would like it to play. In this case, it's a professional content writer. It's also important not to be too vague here. So again, as you can see, I'm giving it a little bit more insights into that Persona. Then next, I'm moving on to the task, which also includes some references to past blog articles that I uploaded to the knowledge base so that the GPT can use them as benchmarks when completing future tasks. And then finally, the most important part of these instructions is Giving it clear guidance when it comes to the format and workflow that I want the GPT to follow every single time. I can't stress how much of a difference this will make. As you can see, with the article format, I'm including things like key takeaways, FAQs and actual guidance on how the GPT should write those things. All of which will not only help it create a more valuable article, but but one that stands a better chance at being visible inside both traditional and AI search engines. Then, moving on to the workflow, you can see that I'm instructing the GPT to ask for the user's unique insights and context so that the article isn't just some AI generated fluff piece. I'm also asking it to write the article section by section. So instead of it being some weak one shot article, you get to refine it as you go. This will all amount to a much closer publish ready article once the workflow is complete. But okay, let's actually start taking a look at this GPT in action. So here you can see that I wanted to create an article about how someone can find the best property to invest in. And right off the bat, the GPT is doing exactly what I instructed it to do in the workflow, as it's first asking me for some extra content and insights into that topic. Now here's the best and fastest way for you to give the GPT that information. Whether you're using the dictate option inside ChatGPT or the transcript feature inside your phone's recording app, just take even five minutes to brain dump all your expertise on the topic. It doesn't matter if it's polished or not, it can be absolutely raw, right? And as I mentioned earlier, this is what's going to make the big difference in making your article feel unique. But now that the GPT has my notes, we're moving on to the intro. And as you can see with that intro already, all my notes that I gave it are being injected into the article, making it far more unique than what someone just lazily using AI would create. And here's the best part, because this is going section by section, you can stop the GPT at any time and have it assist you with some edits like here. I instructed it to beef up the key takeaways, but just remember, you don't want to go too far down a rabbit hole here. Again, the idea is to work efficiently, but as I scroll down here, you can see that section by section, we're writing out this blog article until we have a final draft FAQs and all. This whole process took me all of five minutes to do and what I'm left with is a 2000 plus word article that is full of my unique insights and voice. And speaking of that right again, as I mentioned earlier, I always recommend that you bring these AI articles into a tool like Google Docs and spend 15 minutes tightening it up yourself. Okay, now here's another cool part about all this. GPTs like this don't just have to tackle real estate topics. With any good content comes variety. So as you can see here, I use this exact same GPT to create a lifestyle article about my favorite restaurants. Because who doesn't love a great restaurant recommendation, right? But in minutes I had a polished article full of not just my personal recommendations but but what I specifically liked about each one. This is content that otherwise would have probably taken me hours to write. And I even used the GPT to help suggest alternate titles and SEO meta descriptions. And I even got it to remix that article into a video script. I really hope you're starting to see how game changing this can be for you all. But all right, I think that's enough for this strategy. I think it's time now for us to make it real. So here's what I want you to do this week. Step one is to go to that 30 day content calendar I shared last week and grab one of the topics. Step two is to open my GPT and start a new workflow. Step three is to brain dump all your unique insights on that topic. And step four is to go section by section with the AI assisting you along the way until you finish that article. And then finally step five is to bring it all into Google Docs and spend at least 15 minutes polishing it before you hit publish. But that's it for this week. If you got any questions or you want me to cover a specific topic next, just reach out. Otherwise, thank you for watching and I'll see you on the next one.
